Hello, shameless author here. My third novel on Webnovel. I had a hard time finding new ideas for my new story. I've read various novels, but they don't help much. Even if an idea came up, it didn't feel right to me. This went on for days and frustrated me. And finally, I decided to open my game directory, which I hadn't touched in a long time because I was busy writing. You know, to refresh my mind. And I started playing Rimworld again, one of my favorite games. It was a simulation of managing a colony to survive various hardships. So, I thought, why not just write with inspiration from that game? After all, no one have written about the theme. Enjoy!
This novel immediately pulls you in and makes you excited to learn more. The world and characters are well established and easy to follow along with. The story flows great and is a great mix of adventure and humor. I dont typically like 1st person POV stories, but it really works for this novel! Excited to see how it plays out!
I have been reading on this app probably since the day it got launched. All I can say, I hardly ever leave any reviews (5 or so in over the years). The novel is extremely interesting in both the character development and their place in the world. Take the time to read it. You wonβt be disappointed.
I only read up to chapter 3, but I want to reward the author with 5 stars for some reason: First, the cover is very eye-catching. I'm pretty sure it will attract more readers to read this book. Second, the synopsis is on point and simple. It's easy to understand. Third, when I started reading this book, I could see the author's hard work. The author's way to describe the scenes is so majestic. I could imagine the scenes right away. I didn't find any typo. The writings are so neat and well-structured. I like how the author executed the first-person POV too. It's so natural and interesting. Lastly, I wish all the best for the author and this book. Go get gold! π€©π€©π€©
I kinda like it... I love the idea behind it... and I really want to read it... but it just does not strike a cord with me. I have read 23ch... and I had to force myself to read it for the last 10 ish chapters. I just don't like that the colonists are experiencing hardships at every corner... nothing feels like it's going right for them. Even though it probably will work out in the end. It doesnt feel like progress is being made and that makes the story feel very slow paced and thus boring. Everything else about the story is fine, the grammar, the style of writing is ok, the world building really feels like it will lead to something great with all the little tidbits that are beeing dropped. It is just that the story does not grab my attention and nothing so far has been something that would make me feel excited/happy for the MC or his colonists... everything that happened so far just made me feel worried and anxious or just straight up disinterested. For every step that is made it feels like they make 2 steps back and that some new problem arises. Well I have rated it highly because I do think that it is a novel with an interesting premise... and that it will probably lead up to something very interesting later when the colony grows and when, I'm guessing, we get a more of a kingdom building aspect which I always find enjoyable. Tho I don't want to torture myself reading something I don't find interesting just to get to something interesting after 200 chapters. Good Luck with the story!
It's a very realistic novel it's centered around the world background of RimWorld the character development is rather realistic the development of the story is kind of a new player playing in RimWorld. All in all a good novel and concept unfortunately this ain't my type of thing but it's very good for a sim management novel altho almost has no aspect of a game.
I don't have any ps at the moment, so this is the other best thing I can do to support the author. For me, so far, so good! I like the story structure and how he details the scenes, the author is experienced and has a few minor grammatical errors, but don't ever hold that against anyone. The story is good, and the cover is beautiful! Other than that good read, give it a try!
An interesting combo of gaming and 'new yet artificial world' combined with seemingly survival gam, although the characters are interesting with peculiar names ngl. Excited to see what happens next, however the rules are scary ngl, permanent death and non-permadeath. Like excuse me, don't keep us hanging like this!
I read almost the whole story (200 chapters) when it was free the other day. At first I didnβt like it but kept at it because it was free and somewhat interesting premise. Things get better in later chapters or maybe I only got used to the fact that something will happen to threaten the colony every so often and they are going to get lucky and/or work hard and make tough decisions to make it through. Probably the characters are the best part because of their flaws.
The premise and concept of the book itself are interesting. This might just be my personal preference but I like the idea of the game. And I am excited to see what would happen next to Manu. The author has written it in 1st POV so I expect more details of the ML's thoughts and feelings. also, WE NEED MORE CHAPTERS!!!
