Discussion.

Wiping the tears from his eyes after he confirmed that the young man in front of him was indeed his brother, Yong-sun motioned to him, inviting him to his room.

The young man, who was named Park Shin-yoo in this world, immediately noticed his signal and walked towards him, entering the room. The nurses saw them but didn't say anything as they knew that they were siblings. It only made sense that they would get together to talk after such a serious accident.

As soon as Shin-yoo entered the room, Yong-sun closed the door behind him and stuttered, "Is it really you, Smith? How-"

Shin-yoo put his hands up and immediately responded with a happy smile, "It is me, Ray. And before you finish that question, I don't know what happened either. I only woke up here a bit ago in this body with a...hm, before I continue, make sure the door is completely locked behind you."

Although he was still happy to see his younger brother again, Yong-sun immediately picked up the gravity of the situation and a serious expression appeared on his face as he locked the door.

"Alright, Smit-, well, Shin-yoo I should say, continue."

A blue screen appeared in front of Shin-yoo with several words and statistics plastered across it as he said, "Can you see this?"

Yong-sun immediately summoned his own system and responded, "I'm guessing just as much as you can see this. Did you maybe get any information on what caused us to cross over here? We couldn't just be that lucky for this to happen randomly."

Even though Yong-sun would come off as someone kind at first glance, Shin-yoo knew that he was a ruthless man to the core. His older brother had done many questionable things in his past life to protect him, things that would land him in jail for decades if he was found out.

That's why Shin-yoo was so open with him. He trusted him completely, sometimes even more than he did his real parents.

The same could be said for Yong-sun. Although his younger brother hadn't done anything too bad in his life, he always had a knack for getting into trouble with unruly criminals who picked fights with him. Sometimes, he wished Shin-yoo would just relax and let things be, but if he did, then Yong-sun couldn't swoop him to help like the cool big brother he liked to be.

He 'secretly' liked Shin-Yoo's aggressive attitude. It complemented his kind facade nicely.

Yong-sun trusted Shin-yoo with his life so there was no need for pretense and dishonesty between the brothers.

"Yong-sun, when I first opened my system, I got a message from a god claiming that he sent me here because he wanted to have fun. Heh, it's actually stupid when you think about it. How could we have gotten so lucky?"

Yong-sun rubbed his chin as a small smile appeared on his face. Shin-yoo was right, they were indeed extremely lucky. This was even better than a once-in-a-lifetime event. They had to make the best of it.

No.

They would make the best of it.

"So we're the result of an idle god who has nothing better to do with his power huh? I couldn't ask for anything better. So..."

Yong-sun leaned back on the door and folded his arms as he looked Shin-yoo in the eyes.

"What do you plan to do? We can't just go around doing what we want, fucking shit up in this world. We're going to get our asses kicked and probably slaughtered like animals. It only stands to reason that training would be my first objective. You?"

Shin-yoo thought for a bit as he pulled up a chair and sat down.

Click!

His crimson eyes brightened as he came up with a few ideas.

"I think I'll take the same route as you. At least in the beginning. Since I'm still 18 in this world, that means I probably have high school and I'll have to live with the new parents. Sigh, annoyances everywhere. I'll just take things a bit slow and I'll see how it goes. By the way, did you meet our 'parents?' The father seems to be suspicious of me."

As soon as Shin-yoo finished talking, Yong-sun just said in a nonchalant tone, "Then we just kill him if he sneaks too much. You know how we do things."[A/N: Yes, before you ask, these brothers weren't your typical high school students. They've seen their fair share of bloodshed.]

Shin-yoo nodded in agreement and the two talked for a few more hours before he got up to leave. They had smoothed out their plans, at least for the most part, and had stated everything they wanted to do individually. All in all, they had things worked out and we're confident in their chances of surviving in this world.

As Shin-yoo was about to leave, Yong-sun stood in front of him and outstretched his hand, saying, "Brother, we will rise to the top of this world. You know just as well as I do that once we put our minds to something, no one can stop us. We both just need to make sure that we get there alive. Understand?"

Shin-yoo shook his head and smiled at how much of a worrywart Yong-sun was being. It was funny seeing him like this. But, he definitely agreed with his words. Shin-yoo grasped his hand and responded calmly, "No worries, man! Heh, the next time you see me, my strength might surpass yours, so you better don't fall behind."

"Tch. Cheeky."

Shin-Yoo then left to get on with his plans while Yong-sun returned to his business of figuring out why he's being debuffed. He went to the nurses for more food and although they didn't agree at first because it wasn't lunchtime yet, he managed to convince them with the use of his handsome face.

'Too bad I looked like a regular muscle head in my past life. If I had this face then, life would've been ten times easier.'

About ten minutes later, a nurse brought some leftover breakfast to his room. As he thanked her for it, she left and Yong-sun started devouring the food like there was no tomorrow. In less than two minutes, the plates were empty and he put his spoon down, opening up the system at the same time.

<Starved>

'Oh come on, what the hell?! Do I need to start eating people or something? What could I possibly eat that would deactivate this debuff? I'm betting that it also has to do with those question marks next to the name of my class too. Tch! Guess I have no other choice...'

Yong-sun looked down at the metal spoon on his tray and gulped down a bit of saliva.

"I have to say, I'm a bit nervous about trying to eat a spoon. Phew...well, here goes."

Crunch!

Yong-sun bit down on the spoon and much to his surprise, it felt as soft as tofu in his mouth. It was practically melting on his tongue. But...the taste was absolutely, positively horrendous. It tasted like month-old leftovers that stood in the sun for the entirety of said month.

Still though, with his determination to find out what was causing the debuff, Yong-sun managed to swallow the chewed-up piece of metal. As soon as he did, he felt intense pain from his stomach and a notification popped up on his system.

[Incorrect element ingested! Ingesting more will only damage the host's body. If this warning is ignored and the host continues, they will die.]

Yong-sun ignored the pain, leaned back on his bed, and rubbed his chin, thinking about what he just read.

'As it turns out, I can eat metal now. But it seems that it harms my body. On the bright side though, I figured out that what I need to do is to ingest an element, not real food. That clears a lot of things up...'

Finally gaining a lead on what he needed to do, Yong-sun decided that it was time that he started training. He couldn't put it off anymore as he didn't even know what part of the Solo Leveling timeline he arrived in. For all he knew, the monarchs could be appearing tomorrow. So, training was his only option.

Yong-sun wrapped his bloodied bandages across his feet and hands to provide a bit of protection from the training he planned to do. It wasn't going to be easy nor painless, but with how much confidence he had in his skill 'Endless Development', Yong-sun wasn't worried about those things. His journey was just beginning.
