Letter of Acceptance

1989, Slytherin Manor

Back inside Malach's room, he sat at his desk, engrossed in the study of various magic spells and the practice of Wandless Magic, guiding his wand around the room with precision. His thoughts were not those of an ordinary eleven-year-old; they were filled with contemplation about the future challenges facing the wizarding world and how he would rise above them during his years at Hogwarts.

Malach had no intention of merely following in the footsteps of the famous "Golden Trio" – Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. No, his ambitions soared much higher. He aspired to surpass even the likes of Voldemort and Grindelwald, the dark lords who had once threatened the wizarding world.

Narrator: You might wonder, "But aren't Grindelwald and Voldemort dark wizards? Is Malach going to become their enemy, opposing Dumbledore and Harry Potter?" Well, not quite. Malach's love for the Wizarding World ran deep, and he had a unique role to play...

But let's not digress. Let's return to Malach's thoughts.

Malach's Point of View:

A few days later, on my 11th birthday, I couldn't help but eagerly anticipate the letter from Hogwarts. Turning 11 in the wizarding world was a dream come true, assuming one had magical abilities. I certainly wouldn't want to be a squib; the thought of being treated worse than Muggle-borns was unbearable, not to mention being unable to wield a wand.

I couldn't help but daydream about a world filled only with wizards, where progress and magic would flourish. It would be a utopia, a dream come true.

Knock, knock

A loud knock on my bedroom window interrupted my thoughts. I hurried to open it and found a bird with a letter in its beak, pecking at the window to get my attention. Excitement surged within me as I realized what this meant.

After retrieving the letter from the bird, it clumsily took off, almost colliding with my desk lamp before disappearing into the sky. I muttered, "Stupid bird."

Concerned that the noise might have reached my mother, Veronica, I rushed to her study to inform her of the news.

"Malach, do you know if my mother is free right now? I have something urgent to inform her," I asked Mariane, my mother's maid.

Mariane, who had been a constant presence during my childhood, replied, "Master Malach, your mother is currently in the study room. She would probably be delighted to see you since you're always cooped up in your room, studying magic all day."

Mariane reminded me of my habit of locking myself away in my room to study, even during visits to other wizarding families like the Malfoys and the Diggorys, where I would often engage Cedric in discussions about magical discoveries and my ambitious plans.

"I was just sharing my magical discoveries and ambitions with Cedric and Draco. As for the Annual Pureblood Gathering, I was praised for my eloquence," I retorted with a hint of pride.

Mariane sighed and shook her head. "Malach, it's not that you're doing anything wrong, but sometimes you should remember to enjoy your youth. But, I'll leave it to your mother to lecture you."

I thanked Mariane and continued toward the study, knocking on the door before entering.

"Who is it?" my mother's voice called from inside.

"It's me, Mother," I replied.

She welcomed me into the study, remarking on the thunderous noise I had made on my way down the stairs.

I explained, "Mother, I received my letter to Hogwarts today!"

"That's wonderful, dear. Why don't you open the envelope here so we can share in your excitement?"

"Alright, Mother."

I agreed to open the envelope, thrilled by the prospect of what lay inside.

With hands trembling in excitement, I unfolded the letter containing my acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorcerer. Chief Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confederation of Wizards)

Dear Mr. Slytherin,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have enclosed a list of all the books and equipment you will need for your first year. The term begins on 1 September. We await your reply by owl no later than 31 July.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Deputy Headmistress

I couldn't contain my excitement as I eagerly wrote my reply to Professor McGonagall, using one of the many quills available on my mother's desk.

"Mother, quickly pass me a quill so I can reply to Professor McGonagall."

She teasingly reminded me, "Honey, you have hands. Why don't you use them? I'm busy working here."

Although I pouted, I understood that my mother had gradually reduced her doting on me in recent years, preparing me for my future independence at Hogwarts. She had warned me about the potential dangers in this world and mentioned some prophecy involving Voldemort and a supposed savior, making it clear that we might have to "pick a side" in the future.

I didn't want to stay neutral; I had seen the consequences of such a choice. I didn't want to lose my only family in this world, especially after the close bond we had developed during these years. I had also formed a meaningful connection with Severus Snape and didn't want to witness his fate. I hoped that this time, I could alter destiny.

Veronica's interruption snapped me out of my reverie.

"Dear, you seem lost in thought. You should send your reply to Hogwarts soon so you have time to visit Gringotts for your equipment."

I nodded in agreement, grabbed a quill, and hastily penned my reply. After sealing it in an envelope, I sent it off with an owl bound for Hogwarts.

With my acceptance letter safely on its way, I returned to my room, eagerly awaiting the day when I would finally set foot in Diagon Alley.
