the letter

London England

In a two-story middle-class house there were two parents and an 11-year-old boy reading a peculiar letter delivered by an owl.

<Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Magic>

Director: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Wizards, Chief Warlock of Wizengamot, Order Merlin First Class)

Dear Mr. Youngstar,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Attached you will find a list of all necessary books and equipment.

The term begins on September 1. We expect your owl no later than July 31st.

- Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

<Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmistress.>

An awkward silence reigned for a moment in the room after reading that letter only to be broken by Will Youngstar, father of Henry Youngstar.

""Son, I hope this is a joke about your recent friendship with that Granger girl because she's not funny," he said in a serious tone that gave no room for excuses.

"No father this time she's not involved in this after all she wouldn't waste her reading time on a joke" Without being surprised by the seriousness to which she was already accustomed from her father for sure because she knew it since she met Hermione Granger.

While he wanted to start explaining, he was stopped by a knock on his door, which his mother came to verify.

Where he found a stern-looking woman with distinctive black glasses wearing a dark green robe with her hair in a bun in front of the door.

"¿"Are you Henry Youngstar's guardian?" the woman asked in a stern tone but without sounding arrogant or contemptuous.

"Hey, I'm Judy Youngstar, Herny's mother, can I know who you are?" I asked with some doubt because that woman had never seen her anywhere related to her son.

"Good afternoon. I am Professor McGonagall, Headmistress of Hogwarts. "I am pleased to inform you that her son or daughter has been accepted into our prestigious magic school."

'What?' was the only thing the parents could think

"Ahem, of course, please come in," Will said, doubtful that it was true.

"Or right please come in " Judy mentioned, coming out of her dismay, letting her pass to sit in front of the Youngstar family.

""As I said, I come from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Wait does magic really exist? "It's not some kind of joke, right," Henry asked, feigning surprise and confusion.

Only then Minerva took out her wand and with a slight movement her glasses transformed into a butterfly, she smiled slightly. "Yes, magic, your child has exceptional magical abilities, at Hogwarts, they will learn to control and develop those abilities in a safe place full of opportunities."

'ha yes of course sure if you don't count the fact that in the next seven (7) years something would always happen and the racism of the purebloods' he thought with a certain grace because of what he knew

The parents exchange perplexed glances. "And how…how does this work? How are we supposed to send him to a magic school?"

Minerva explained patiently "We have a special train, the Hogwarts Express, that leaves from King's Cross station, His son received a letter with all the details. The train will take you directly to the school. Don't worry, we have everything under control."

Parents assimilating information faster than expected asked "What about the classes? Are the teachers magical too?"

"Of course, we have an excellent teaching staff. I teach Transfiguration myself, the children will learn spells, potions, history of magic and much more. Additionally, they will be in one of the four houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin in which they can rely on the seniors and their deans of the house.

The Youngstars still look at each other with doubts "What if something goes wrong?"

"Trust us Hogwarts is a safe place, children will be in good hands and, "We have a communication system through letters delivered by owls to keep them informed."

"...Son, tell me the truth, do you want to study at Hogwarts?" A question that I did not expect from my father, apparently he digested the information faster than I thought.

"Yes" that was enough for his father to nod, and although his mother did not participate in the conversation he knew that she would always support him with his decision.

"Well with that said I say goodbye Sir, Mrs. Youngstar and young Youngstar I inform you that I will come tomorrow afternoon to guide you through the purchase of Hogwarts-related materials by the wizarding world" thus saying goodbye with a nod from the parents as he left

"Now with all this, it's time to talk, young man," said my mother in a serious tone, "since when have you been able to do magic and why we've barely found out about it."

"It's because I wasn't sure what was happening to me so as a precaution I hid it so as not to harm them." I answered honestly because from the moment I arrived into this world I thought I had arrived in a normal Britain in the 1980s until that day.

"Well, you are and will be the pride of our son, don't forget it" although he seemed cold when he said it, I knew that my father said it to encourage me and reaffirm that the decision I made would not change who we were

" But always remember our family motto"

"Yes father, the Youngstars always follow what they believe, our pride resides within us like a star which will always shine to guide us on our journey through what we believe. The moment you fail to believe your star will no longer guide you."
