Ch.26 Happy Birthday.

(Victoria's POV)

Today was my birthday, and I was pretty excited and happy to have all my friends here to celebrate with me. My summer break was pretty dull. I mostly spent my time with my mom, learning potions and etiquette. We all would also go out to parks for picnics and all but it was still too boring and on top of that Jon has gone radio silent on us. No one knew what was happening to him?

I was getting concerned for him and even decided to check up on him. But soon I got a letter from him. He wrote after days, and the explanation that he gave was that he was busy with his "project" and couldn't find time to write.

I was angry with him and made it known in the letter, I also asked him if he was alright and was having proper meals at the orphanage and he did say that he was doing better. I was glad to hear that. I can't wait for him and others to come.

(Jon's POV)

Today was Victoria's and Harry's birthday, I was pretty nervous. I have the general idea that James isn't very fond of me, and I can't quite put my finger on why. But regardless, I was going, it was my friend's birthday and I wanted to celebrate it.

I was in my room and I was preparing myself for the party. I was wearing a green suit with a white shirt and a vermilion tie and had my snake tiepin with a rough slick back hairstyle.

The party was at their home in hampstead. I decided to take the carriage to get there. The party was going to start by 6. I started to get ready on 6 and arrived there by 6:20.

When I arrived there, I saw that the place was very quiet and cozy. It was a nice place. I could hear the chatter and the songs playing in the house.

I got off the carriage and straightened my clothes and walked up to the Home. Furthermore, I always thought that they would have been living in a bigger house if they weren't so dead. It seems like they are about the minimal lifestyle.

I walked up to the door and knocked on it and Lily opened the door and said "Well, hello there Jon, how are you? Come on in."

I smiled and stepped inside, "Hello, Mrs Potter, How are you?"

Lily looked at me and said, "I am fantastic but, you look so nice in that suit. Green suits you."

I chuckled and nodded, "Thank you for the compliments, Mrs Potter, you look very amazing as well."

She chuckled lightly and lead me to the living room. I looked around and there was

Weasley's, Tonks, Sirius, Moody was somehow here as well, there was also Daphne, Tracey, Hermione, and Ted.

Daphne, Tracey, and Ted were in their group and Hermione was talking with Ron and Harry.

I walked up to Ted and said, "So, how is everyone doing?"

Ted was wearing a white shirt with a blue bow tie with suspenders, and he was wearing trousers. He turned towards me and said, "We are enjoying the party, by the way, your Rune now works, congrats man… but where is my credit?"

I chuckled and said, "Yeah, thank you, Ted, for giving me your notes… without them, it would be hard to make a completely new rune from scratch." He looked at me and shook his head and chuckled a little and I said, "But seriously thanks man… if I can only now figure out how to power a bigger device… I will be golden."

Tracey was wearing a white summer dress with floral print, she had tied her hair in a ponytail. She scoffed and said, "Why are you always like this? Just enjoy your success for once."

I hummed and said, "Yeah, you are right I shouldn't do this on her birthday or she will be mad, by the way where is she?"

Daphne was wearing a deep blue color dress, and she had styled her hair into a bun. She looked cute. She said, "I will go check on her." She went upstairs to check on Victoria, and we just talked and caught up on what everyone was doing.

In a few moments, Victoria came down with Daphne. She was wearing a red color dress with a golden chain on her neck, it had a locket in it.

She walked up to us, brushing past many people, and we all caught looks from other people, especially me from Black. Which I thought was weird. She walked up to us and asked, "How do I look?"

I smiled and said, "You look beautiful… Tori." She smiled and blushed, her cheeks were red and so was James.

I cleared my throat and said, "So, I think you should start the party now, Mrs Potter?"

She nodded and Victoria went toward the cake, Harry and James were standing there. They cut the cake and we Sang Happy Birthday to both and went on to eat the cake and food they surprisingly also had Coke and Fanta, I didn't expect that. I finished my food and was feeling full, and wanted to get some air. So I took a coke and went outside and sat on the stairs and drank my coke.

Victoria followed me out, Victoria came next to me and said "Hey is this seat taken?"

I chuckled and said, "Please." We both laughed and I said, "So how are you?"

She looked tense and said, "I am fine…" but then she sighed and said, "Things with my Dad and Harry are not that great… It feels like they are trying to control everything."

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Maybe they are trying to look after you."

She sighed and said, "I understand trying to look after someone, but this is like very controlling behavior. And I still don't get why dad doesn't like you… I mean, even harry is like that, and you saved him."

I was a little surprised to hear that, I was hoping at least Harry wouldn't do that. I shook my head and said, "Well… I have no response to that." In an attempt to lighten up her mood and said "Oh, almost slipped my mind"

She looked at me and asked, "What?" I pulled out the a box from my suite and handed it to her.

She looked at me and said, "You didn't need to."

I shook my head and said, "Of course I had to… now open it."

She unwrapped the gift, and it was a disc man. She looked at it and I said, "It's my first successful prototype." She looked at me and asked, "Are you sure?"

I chuckled and said, "Ah, no worries, just turn it on."

She put on the headphones and turned it on and music started to pour into her ears and said "IT IS BRILLIANT" I laughed and nodded. She took off the headphones and was laughed.

It was playing "Can't take my eyes off of you."

I smiled and said, "Let me plug in the splitting cable." I plugged in the splitting cable and put on our headphones.

We both sat there and listened to the songs. She looked happy. I looked at her and decided to her something. I said, "I need to talk to you about something."

She turned to me and said, "WHAT?" she then remembered and removed her headphones.

I looked at her and said, "I found out who my mother was."

She gasped and grabbed my hands and asked, "Who was she?"

I said her name was "Emilia House. I have been living in one of the mansions in England." As soon as I heard a rattling of bushed but I don't know who or what it was.

She shook my hand and asked, "THE… Emilia House, who went missing?"

I nodded and sighed, "Yeah, that is her. I was given a letter from Dumbledore, which was written by my mother."

She asked, "Is there any other relative who is alive?"

I nodded and said, "Yeah, Gellert Grindelwald. The Dark Lord."

But she didn't look surprised and said, "Huh?"

I looked at her and said, "I was hoping for a bigger response than that."

She nodded and said, "Well, it was common knowledge that House family was related to Grindelwald's… It's basically in the book 'The history of Britain's magical families' most of the noble families are made to read that so they know who they are dealing with."

She said, "The ministry will still keep an eye on you. But don't worry, no one will come after you."

She rubbed the back of my hand and asked, "What will you do now?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "I am going to start using my full name with pride, Jonathan House."

She looked happy and chuckled, "Nice to meet you, Jonathan House."

I smiled and said, "Thank you for listening."

She smiled and said, "Anytime, Jon." We then got up and went inside. As soon as I stepped in, Daphne, Tracey, and Ted stormed at us.

I looked at them and asked, "What is going on?"

Ted looked at me and asked, "Why didn't you tell us?"

I shook my head and asked, "Tell you what exactly?"

Daphne said, "Why didn't you tell us you are House?"

I was confused and asked, "How do you all know that?"

Daphne said while looking at Sirius and James, "We overheard them talking."

I realized that the rattle in the bushes was, Sirius smiled and said, "I have also recently found this out."

I then turned to Victoria and said, "I am going to Harry to give him his gift." Victoria, she nodded and went with me.

We walked up to Harry, he was talking with the Weasley twins, Ron, Ginny, and Hermione. They saw me walking towards them and went quiet.

I took out the present and gave it to Harry and said, "Happy Birthday Harry."

He smiled politely and accepted the gift, "Thank you, Jonathan."

I shook my head and said, "No need to thank me, Harry. I hope you enjoy your gift."

I then left them and we went towards Lily and I said: "Thank you for inviting me to the Party, by the way where are Mr Potter and Mr Black?"

She was confused and said, "They were here just a minute ago."

I nodded and said, "Thank you again, Mrs Potter for inviting me."

She smiled and ruffled my hair and said, "No need to thank me, Jon, now you go along talk with your friends."

We then went away to talk to our group.

Hey guys, I hope that you all liked the chapter. I have a few announcements to make they are more like updates of my situation.

My exams have been rescheduled so they are stretched out a little longer.

Second after my exams I will be busy with my visa interview and stuff.

So the month of July will also be a little tough. I am sorry to you all but there is nothing I can do about it. I do hope you all understand.
