7. My Patron Saint Is An Egg?

After trying out hundreds of wands, Wayne can be considered an experienced wizard who has just begun his journey.

If the wand and the wizard don't match, the magic produced will be repulsive and violent.

If you feel nothing or just normal, you'll spray water and set off two fireworks.

If some wands are suitable, they're mostly used for transformation magic.

But this wand is unlike any other. When you hold it in your hand, it feels like a perfect match.

Just like finding the most beautiful princess at a KTV, I can't wait to show off my heroic appearance.

Wayne unconsciously raised his wand.

Silver-white mist filled the air, swirling and slowly taking shape.

After the initial confusion, Professor McGonagall immediately realized something and made a rare mistake: "Impossible!"

Ollivander's lips trembled.

"The Patronus Charm... turns out to be the Patronus Charm..."

Not to mention, the Patronus Charm is an extremely advanced defensive spell that even many adult wizards struggle to master.

But what little wizard would unexpectedly cast the Patronus Charm upon obtaining a wand?

The silver-white Patronus finally took shape. Both McGonagall and Ollivander stared at it intently, their eyes growing dull.

"Is this... an egg?"

Wayne was at a loss for words.

Whose Patronus could be an egg? Could he possibly throw the egg and defeat the Dementors in the future?

Hurry up and hatch it for me!

Wayne's heart skipped a beat and he hatched it.

Could this have something to do with the Pokémon egg that are hatching at home?

The wand lowered slightly, the Patronus dissipated, and Ollivander and McGonagall finally recovered from their shock.

"Perfect performance, Mr. Lawrence." Ollivander took a deep breath. "This moment will be forever etched in the history of the Ollivander family."

"Legend has it that the Moria tree was the one used by Hercules to honor his father, the god-king Zeus. It was also known as the sacred tree in ancient Greece."

"And unicorn hair is the purest material. They are incredibly loyal and stable to their owners."

"I believe that you will achieve great things in the defense against dark arts, and perhaps even become the next Dumbledore."

Wayne laughed and joked, "You don't say that to every young wizard, do you?"

Ollivander smiled and remained silent.

He may say complimentary things when selling magic wands, but that's just for the sake of meeting targets.

However, this time, he meant every word.

After paying seven Galleons for the wand and spending another fifteen Galleons to purchase a complete set of advanced wand care tools, they left Ollivander's store.

It's so cruel.

Now they knew why such an important weapon as the wand was so cheap at seven galleons.

On the one hand, this is because the Ministry of Magic subsidizes every little wizard's first wand, and Ollivander will reimburse them for the difference.

On the other hand, after-sales service is just like the Four Sons store in the Muggle world, where the money is made.

After shopping around, Wayne finally bought everything they needed for Hogwarts and also bought a lot of books that interested them.

After using Disapparation to send Wayne home again, Professor McGonagall was also preparing to leave. She was going to visit another little wizard's home in the afternoon.

Before leaving, McGonagall added, "Although the Ministry of Magic does not allow young wizards to cast spells outside of school, there are exceptions to everything."

McGonagall said meaningfully, "In the next month, you can try to preview your homework and learn some less dangerous spells. If you don't understand anything, you can go to Diagon Alley and send me a message with an owl."

After experiencing the shock at Ollivander's store, McGonagall was now very optimistic about Wayne's talent and was willing to provide as much help as she could.

Upon hearing her words, Wayne's eyes also lit up.

"Wouldn't that bother you, Professor?"Although he is now talented and has some tricks up his sleeve, learning magic is not an overnight accomplishment.

Realizing one's talents also requires a great deal of knowledge acquisition and practice. With the guidance of a master like McGonagall, Wayne can avoid unnecessary detours. 

"Of course not. I am more than happy to answer questions for a diligent young wizard like you." With that, McGonagall waved her hand once more and began to disapparate.

After watching McGonagall disappear, Wayne turned around and made his way back home. Although he appreciates McGonagall's enthusiasm, Wayne doesn't have Gryffindor as his desired college.
