Chapter 22

Albert awoke in complete darkness. His roommates were still dozing off in slumberland with the curtains still drawn. The sound of raindrops on the windowsill could be him. Since yesterday, it had not stopped. After getting a good night's rest, he stretched and yawned. Throwing back the covers, he rose from the bed. Making his bed, smoothing out the sheets, and fluffing the pillow were the first steps in Albert's morning routine. He then went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face. He quickly showered in order to get dressed and ready for the day. Albert returned to his bed after washing up and dressing.

In addition, he was up too early. The others were still in bed even after he had cleaned himself up. In order to cast | Lumos |, Albert reached for his wand holster. He noticed the time was thirty-two minutes past six when he glanced at the clock on his nightstand. Indeed, he awoke at the usual hour. When Albert had some free time, he decided to look through his bag. He began unpacking all of the things he hadn't done yesterday. He also unwrapped his grandparents' present.

His eyes widened in shock as he tore off the wrapping paper and discovered a tiny velvet-covered box. A vintage pocket watch that appeared to be very expensive was revealed when he opened the box. The silver watch had intricate patterns etched into the metal. Albert's eyes were so unbelievable. They most likely used Goblin Silver to make it. He had wanted a pocket watch like this in a previous life, and this one was more beautiful than he could have ever imagined. Albert eagerly lifted the cover to reveal the watch's finely detailed, intricately crafted hands. He wound it up and enjoyed hearing the timekeeping mechanism start to tick. He put the watch in his pocket and put the box away.

He stored the pocket watch at quarter past seven. By now, the sun ought to be rising. He approached the curtains and pulled them open. To allow some fresh air inside, he opened the windows. The last of the cold air rushed past his face as it continued to rain. His pine shook as a result. To gauge how bad it was, he stuck his hand out the window. As the rain slowed down, the ominous clouds began to dissipate.

"I guess I'll get to exploring right away." With his wand holster by his side, Albert said as he quietly closed the window and left the dorm.

The house elves play a crucial role in the operation of Hogwarts. They are an essential part of this machine. With them present, the professors can concentrate on teaching while the student can concentrate on learning magic. Hogwarts and the surrounding area are extremely clean and there isn't much to complain about in terms of hygiene thanks to their presence. Going by what he had yesterday, Albert thought the cooking by the house elves deserved at least one Michelin star.

The Common Room was very quiet. Currently, there was nothing alive in the common area. A focus on living. A female ghost was found reading what appeared to be an erotic novel about a vampire and werewolf in the tiny Gryffindor library, according to Albert. Who knew that this kind of book existed in the wizarding world? The female ghost wasn't bothered by Albert. He really wanted to talk to the ghost, but he decided to leave her alone. Why should he bother someone else while they are reading when he didn't like being bothered while reading?

Albert didn't spend much time in the common area. Before leaving, he looked for a map in the library because he intended to wander. But there wasn't, regrettably. Additionally, he desired to go to the fabled Room of Requirements. He pushed open the heavy oak door and went out of the common area. He saw the Fat Lady wake up as soon as he left and give him a brief moment of attention.

"Where are you headed?" said The Fat Lady.

"For a stroll," Albert replied. He chose to take a different route after taking a look at the hallway that the prefect had led them through yesterday.

The hallways might have felt a little moist because it was raining outside. He had the impression of being in a scary film. A ghost emerged from the wall on his left as he moved forward. It paused for a brief period before continuing on its way. In Hogwarts, Albert found that there were a lot of ghosts. There were the four ghosts from each house, Peeves, Moaning Myrtle, and a large cast of other ghosts that weren't featured in the movies from his former life.

For a moment, Albert was immobile. How did he know? Although Albert had trouble remembering details from his previous existence, tidbits of information occasionally surface, such as on the Hogwarts Express. Even though he didn't know who the redheads were, he knew their names, and during the Sorting Ceremony, he had a flashback to a girl who was sorted into the Gryffindor house but hadn't yet started attending Hogwarts.

Albert made the decision to put those ideas out of his head and return to them later. He kept going until he reached the stairs. He climbed the stairs, which took him to the seventh floor. Albert kept going until he came across a tapestry. He set the nameplate on the ground. "Barnabas the Barmy" was the name of it. It showcased a man who was instructing goblins in ballet.

It appears that Lady Luck is on my side. As he made his way three times up and down the hallway, Albert said. He thought, "I need a place to practise magic," every time he walked by. The door then materialised on the wall, and Albert entered.

Albert opened the door and was greeted by a large room full of marvels as he did so. There was a small library with shelves of books of all subjects, sizes, and shapes on one side of the space. There was a cosy sitting area with cosy chairs and a fireplace on the opposite side. Albert was particularly drawn to the spacious open area in the room's middle, though. There, he observed a variety of exercise tools, such as weights, a climbing wall, and even a few fencing swords and dummies.

"This is fantastic." As he made his way to the library, Albert said. He proceeded to read some of the books' titles. "Looks like I won't need to visit the library as frequently as I had anticipated."

Albert was conscious of the need for caution when he arrived. A huge door suddenly materialised. If someone chose to tell everyone, it was certain to draw attention. Shortly after entering the Room of Requirements, Albert departed.

He must enter covertly if he doesn't want anyone to learn about the Room of Requirements. He would need the Marauder's Map, which Mr. Finch currently has in his possession, as well as the Disillusionment Charm, both of which could be found in the library. Albert pondered how to approach this challenge. He would have to wait a while longer, but he could steal it. He must eventually return the map because it was essential to the canon timeline. It appears that he will eventually need to create his own version. Albert turned and walked away, leaving the wall as it had been.
