17 Revelations and Travel
"How do you know all this stuff?" My sister asked me. After a few minutes I answered "This isn't my first life. I died over a 1000 years in the future. When I died I met death and he gave me a chance at a second life with magic. So I know about all this because I had learned it in my previous world." I couldn't tell them that they were unknown characters in a book that only highlighted 7 years of the whole world. My mother who was sitting near my sister stood up and walked over to me.
I thought she would slap me but she gave me a hug saying "You could have told me. I just hope that you see us as your family and I hope your other mom was kind to you." I explained "I love you guys so much, in my first life I was an only child by the name of Zander. I had a good mother and father but we lived in a large city with millions of people. The area I told you to portal to was where I grew up. The river was the only landmark that would be around right now as that continent hasn't been discovered yet." After my our little talk they had to get used to the change as the vampirism made them faster and stronger but they didn't get any of the dragon features. My brother was kinda bummed out as he wanted wing. Then I explained I wanted to learn how to make flying props because flying with my wings are tiring even when using wind magic. Then I explained to Randvi about flying brooms and carpets.
After our chat Floki asked me "What do you want to do with the dragon wing?" I was at a loss as I could use magic with my hands meaning I didn't need a wand. He continued by suggesting "Why not make a staff?" I responded with my thoughts about not needing a wand or staff only for him to laugh saying "I don't know about wands but staffs aren't for channeling your magic but to help amplify them. As long as the staff and magic have affinity the staff will amplify your magic. If the magic and staff don't have affinity the staff won't amplify and could hinder your magic." With that revelation it was time to make 2 staffs. The first would be for my light sided magic and the other would be for my darker spells. Luckily most of my magic wasn't dark so the second staff would be less useful.
Taking Tags wing I used the bone that attached to the back as the staff core. Looking at the wing I had an idea, I could use the smaller bones to make wands for my siblings and future wife. Then I could use the skin to make a leather bag with space ruins for an expanded bag. Using the wood I cut down near our village I transfigured the wood around the bone and visualized the atoms being super tightly packed for strength. I used a bone fragment from the orange Dragonliche to make my Darkside staff. Once I finished with the wands I gave one to my siblings and Randvi letting Floki explain their use.
Once again I portal to the island picking up my totem and continued my flight toward Africa. While flying a flock of Jobberknoll began to follow me. Bran and Coro had been flying with me as well. Opening small portals infront of the Jobberknolls sending them to my realm, as I had played Hogwarts Legacy I know their feathers have a use and my sister might adopt one as a familiar. When day came I had crossed the sea and was around Northern Poland. Using my mind palace memories I had a map of 21st century Europe but I was at a loss for current empires as I know that many kingdoms will rise and fall till then.
Landing in a small forest to recover stamina I couldn't see any villages near from the top of a tall oak tree. I set down my totem again returning home for lunch. Once I had eaten and drunk some fresh water I continued my journey. Unfortunately the spell that let's me know the time doesn't have a date equivalent so I am still unsure of the date.(716ad) Knowing that the Alps go rather high I needed to go around but the question was whether to go west toward Francia or east toward Bulgaria. Deciding to stay away from Transylvania as I don't know if my blood would extra tasty for vampires I headed west. Flying along the coast I came across a fleet of vikings headed west as well. They had 10 ships filled with warriors. I didn't make contact as i didn't know who they were and didn't want to have to slaughter an army. From what I could see they acted like a proper military unit rather than crazed raiders. As I turned my back toward the fleet to head inland an arrow flew under my feet.
Normally I would be level headed and just continued inland as fighting them was useless but my inner dragon wanted me to sink the fleet that would dare attack me. My pupils turned Draconic allowing me to zoom onto the boats. I saw one man with a bow standing at the front of the boat knocking another arrow. My skin changed in to scales and my nails mophed into claws. Hovering in air while flapping my wings I shot out like a cannon at the dumby who shot at me. He shot another arrow but I was still to high for him to hit me. Once I was above the boat I used my magic to amplify my voice I yelled "You dare shoot me? Then it is my turn." Without thought I stolen escanors attack (7 deadly sins) I created a blue mini sun dropping it on the boat. Once it made contact the fireball expanded catching nearby ships on fire. After the first boat was sunk I snapped back to my senses. Without realizing I had allowed my dragon to burn the attacker. I used my magic again to call a light drizzle to put out the flames and flew away. Landing in the forest I had to portal home as I had used most of my magic between flying and the attack.
Waiting for the vikings to leave the area I began to create my expanded bag. I had to tan the dragon skin in a mix of water and bark from the trees I had cut. Lazing around while the skin soaks my sister ran up to me excited to show her magic. Using my soul sight I could see that everyone's cores had grown to the normal size but they didn't have much mist. She made a small fire on her finger but after a minute she had to stop ad her magic was rather low. I then told her "Sis if you want to get more magic every night before bed use all of your magic with this light spell. As magic is a muscle that grows with use." Then I showed her how to light up her finger like a flashlight. This way she wouldn't cause a fire. She was rather happy with the birds that were flying around as their was almost no food for them she began to feed them.
The Jobberknolls would occasionally sit around our sleeping area as we had yet to build houses. That was a task I had to get done rather quickly to give everyone some more privacy but since it was only my family I had decided to build a modern mansion giving everyone a private room. Over the next five days I transfigured the wood into walls for the interior. Then I went to the mountain and grabbed stone to make a brick exterior of the mansion.
I removed the dirt from under where I wanted the house to be, then placed a stone slab for a foundation. Using more stone I fused the exterior brick with the foundation. Then I attached the inner walls to the bricks like drywall. I made an one story house placing the patio on top and building stairs on opposite sides. Everyone got a room and I built the frame for 3 bathrooms connected to 2 separate rooms. I decided that me and Bjorn will share as it's best to let the girls have the other 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was In the middle of the house and the entryway had was large enough to build some tables for a dining area, even though we would more than likely use the patio to eat. I then began to make furniture for the house like bed frames only to run out of wood.
