12 Invasion

Listening to Tag I pushed mana through my new rune tattoo. As I was doing that Tag pulled my hand away saying "Runes hold man. This rune was created by yours truly, all you have to do is fill the rune with mana. Then will your eyes to activate, as I followed her explanation I wished for my eyes to have soul sight. Looking at the sun set my eyes didn't change. I looked at Tag only to see an aura of gold, the aura around her head took the shape of a dragon. Looking at Floki I saw a much smaller aura of a man. Tag explained "What you are seeing is our souls."

Walking over to Floki she points at the back of his head. She began "This little pin sized dot you can see is where a person's soul is anchored to their body. It will always be in the brain as all other parts are interchangeable. Now that you have finished the Protection Mind Arts and Runecraft, I will teach you portals. First will be the personal portal." She raises her hand and opens a portal to the top of what I could only guess was Mount Everast. She explained "With how apartaing works in your memories. People must have willed their bodies to move. This will be like your wormhole theory, you will invition a door but on onside is where you are and another is a place you know. Later on I would suggest drawing a symbol and placing it somewhere that way you can only focus on that drawing. Though if you learn to do it without symbols you'll get faster at it. So your job is to create a portal to your house.

For the next few days I attempted to create a portal, it would start to form then cut out half way through. Tag interrupted "Feed it more mana and keep focus." After that one sentence I created a small portal infront of my bed in my house. When the portal opened, my two familiars came flying threw. They landed on my head, giving Tag a laugh. She asked "So are these the familiars you were talking about?" Bran nodded as Coro spoke up " Awe, you talked about us." Tag chuckled again saying "Welcome little ones. You are free to visit, but make sure not to destroy the place. That's quite interesting you are both dependence of Articuno. what's more interesting is Bran is also a descendent of Zapados, while Coro is of course Moltres. That's quite interesting as they are twins." Looking through soul sight, I could see half of their souls resembled Articuno, and the other half were different birds. I also saw they had around 50% of the mana I had with each bird only having 1 core in the liquid stage.

Back to the portals, Tag explained, "Portals have a few restrictions such as they can be warded against. Portals are slow, but they allow for safe transit since you can see where your going. They are great for group movement but be aware if you come out of the front of a portal someone could sneak in the other side of the portal as both sides connect. You don't need to worry about tearing someone in half as the portal uses magnetism to create a barrier around its edge." Following the explanation, Tag pushed her hand to the edge of a portal only for her hand to be repelled.

Tag sent me home for the day, the following day I returned alone as Tag said " Today we will learn how to make a permanent portal like the one you walked through. First you must know that the portal is made with multiple runes, also known as a runic array. The first thing you need is a metal ring with a metal base. The runes go onto the base." She led me to her portal as she pulled up the soil that was covering a metal plate holding the portal ring up. Looking down I saw the door rune that I thought was only for security. The rune was in the center of the array making it the primary rune. Around the rune were other symbols I haven't learned yet. Tag continued explaining as she pointed at each rune "The runes on the west and east side are earth runes used to symbolise each location. The runes on the north and south are for movement. These runes symbolise time, but what is time but a measure of movements. These are Draconic Runes, so if you wish to mix them with your norse runes I would advise safety first." On both sides of the Runic array with the earth rune there are symbols in the middle of said rune. I asked what they were, Tags answer was "These are names, the first one is a symbol for this area like an address and the other side is the same. Though you can use a personal portal to connect with a permanent portal. If you didn't notice this portal leads to another sub dimension and their is another portal that connects the cave to said sub dimension. It's like a security bubble, if someone gets in they have to deal with my guard dogs or rather snake."

After learning about the runic array, we walked back up to her patio. Sitting down she poured us tea saying "Ask your questions?" I had a few so I began "Why is the draconic door runes the same as norse?" She answered "They are similar but not the same. Go back into your mind palace and overlay the runes. The draconic rune has has no arch at the top of the door, also the door I'd wider because a true dragon would need large doors." My next question was "Can you have multiple portals connected?" She answered "Yes my front portal doesn't only connect to the cave. it connects to other places. The earth rune on the east side represents the area you wish to connect to, but if you create rune paths like piping and connect it two multiple earth runes. The traveler would simply need to push mana into a rune which represents an area they wish to visit and the portal will open. When you open the door in the cave my portal auto activates, except for if it is already active."

After I was done with my question we sat and drunk tea. She pulled out a small box with a rune on the inside that I didn't recognize. Tag pushed mana into the rune, as she was finished a song from my previous life began to play. She stated "This rune is the sound rune. When I drew it I imagined that it would play which ever song I think about as I Feed it mana. The only problem with it is I have to wait for the mana to run out as if I try to play a second song using the first songs mana it will play both songs at the same time." Luckily, as I have a mind palace now I can recreate that rune only after seeing it once.

As the day had ended I used a portal to my house only for no one to be in my house. Walking toward the center of village I heard a voice getting louder. Once infront of the village chiefs house with everyone I heard the chief explain "I have sent word to neighboring villages as the army has already razed multiple villages on their war path. The army will be here in 5 days, the man who was warning villages took my letter to our neighbors as he warned them. They supposedly have a bone dragon with them. We should all talk with our families to decide whether to flee or fight."
