Chapter 1: The Void

The dim darkness filled the surroundings letting no light escape, at least that what it felt like. It felt like a void, less room, like nothing can exist here. Contrary to the horrible random feelings coming from my gut there was a dim blue screen in front of me. I say screen but more like a TV, like a rich person tv, nothing the less it was large.

For a while the screen was just semi-transparent with nothing on it. So, I just hovered there waiting for some change to either the blue screen or the dark black surrounding, honestly, I was more hoping for the surrounding to change they were making me feel sick.

After some time, a kind of buffering or loading symbol appeared on the screen, with the tiniest possible text that I could read below it stating.

Reading what was written I found it funny, that in a sickly place there would be a helpful hint like in a game loading screen. As I get over that its funny, I realize 'I can't laugh', well at least not out loud. So, I try speaking nothing happens, clapping nothing happens and so then I try to make any sound, but Nothing Happens.

Then this helpless feeling clouds my head, it felt like being trapped in a cage. No a cage isn't the best word, a steel box better describes it because in a cage you can still see light throw the bars. With the feeling I try to find something to anchor my mind, something to stop the feeling, and then I read the /'Helpful Hint'/ saying to /'Focus on the screen'/ which then I realize that it knew about this horrible feeling, so I do as it say.

After reading the hint for about hundredth time something changes, an old-style video appears with a pause\play, video bar, the forward and reverse button. I hit play and it shows a birds eye view of a labor room with a baby just born, covered in a type of goo or liquid it was gross so I hit the fast forward a little to much showing some kid watching TV, I can only assume that it's the same kid.

I'm watching the movie the kids watch, which was kind of hilarious as it was inception which made me think that I'm doing a movie inception. Halfway through the movie, the parents join in which at this point I have a hunch of who the kid is, so I speed up to the kid's 12th birthday.

The screen showed a tall kid surrounded by different color balloons, playing with its cute dog while being supervised by two slightly old adults. I had confirmed my hunch that this was my life, as the last memory I have is of my twelfth birthday. From there I go back to the first birthday and watch the rest of it all my life, of course skipping sleeping and showering because it's kind of weird watching yourself shower. It wasn't until the 19 of November, just before I turned 18, that the screen turn blank. As the screen turned back to it blue self a couple of tears slide town my face, I just watched the good the bad and everything in between. I now remember the goals of my five-year-old self, the lonely days pining for different girls during high school and many more. Looking back, I regret nothing, none of my mistakes or success, the bad day or the good days.

I look back at the screen to see what to do next.

Thinking back throughout my life, I deicide to channel my inner kid dream and begin type.
