Chapter -8.

'alright, fine you've my permission no need to be so stereotypical.' I thought, as the least thing I wanted to hear right now was an emotional blackmailing speech from an actual Ai.

The constant notification and warning buzzed in my ears so I felt a little skeptic about the idea of physical modification, however as nano had said that the bowl needed to be resilient in order to contain more powerful goods, so yeah I accepted the anxiety anyway.

Ivan… Ivan..

'huh! Mother?... What is she d…. ' I thought, hearing someone shouting my name but before I could even complete my thought process nano's voice rang in my ears.

[ Time skip ]

"Sir Healer, are you certain he's okay?" An anxious woman queried the man in front of her in an unfamiliar room that closely resembled an asylum ward.

"Mrs. Powell, don't be alarmed; your son just had his first magical outburst." The healer gave a comforting response.

"Magic outburst! Are you sure, sir healer, that's the case, given that he's already eleven and hasn't shown a hint of magic blooming in his body?" While examining his son, who was unconscious and lying on the bed, Nina asked. 

"You don't need to put yourself under pressure because that does happen occasionally, I can promise you given that there are many instances of late bloomers coming out in life in Britain." The healer tried to console Nina, however she was too involved with her son that she ignored his words completely.

"Alright, I leave you two alone then." The healer said feeling a little helpless about his situation here.

bang...

With a noise of thud the door of the patient's ward got closed as healer left the room.

"Why did you've to awaken your magic at this time of your life, we could've just stayed in that house like any normal muggle family." Nina muttered while ruffling Ivan's hair feeling that he would wake up any minute now.

She didn't seem disappointed or angry about the sudden twist in the development, but she did appear sad about a specific matter, as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Her expressions alone gave the impression that she was nearly letting go of something very precious to her.

"M-Mom.."

Suddenly, there was a loud noise inside the dark abyss; I didn't know how I got here, but the place seemed so terrifying that I couldn't stop shivering, but then, out of nowhere, I felt a sense of warmth, and before I knew it, the abyss began to illuminate with each passing moment.

"I-Ivan, don't worry son, mum is here with you."

To be honest, hearing mum's voice in this situation actually helped with calming me down. However, then I heard Nano's monotone voice.

'What the hell did you do to me, Nano?' I tried to ask, but the instant I did, the ground beneath me started to collapse.

'The f*ck is happening here?' I yelled as I felt being sucked into a vacuum.
