Chapter 216 : A Talk With Two Oldies 2

No matter how much Orion tried, he knew that the cat was out of the bag now. Once Dumbledore learned that he was going after the Vampires, there was no way that he could let the old man stop irritating him. 

To the point that he even has to explain his history with the vampires and why they are targeting him from the very first year they join Hogwarts. 

The fact that a vampire who could use magic attacked him, killed his dog, and even tried to kill him but he somehow stopped his spell and killed the vampire instead. That was also the reason why he had so weak magic at the start. 

The fact that they have been targeting him for 3 years now even made Grindelwald, who was mostly listening to both Dumbledore and Orion quarrel with amusement on his face, raise his eyebrows in surprise. 

His eyes sure show him the future but that is not under his own control, it's on the eye and the magic itself on what he really sees. 

Thanks to the eye he saw Orion and what the boy could do for the Magical world. He knew now that the wizarding world was in danger, the same entity which betrayed him before and had been causing chaos in this world for so long time was finally ready to take action, to come back, to take control, to devour everything. 

And the boy in front of him was the only one who could stop that. Pursing his lips, Grindelwald's amused loot disappeared when he thought about this. 

"So, you were also there when that attack happened in Gringotts," Dumbledore said with much tense voice. 

"Oi oi, I told you about my bad blood with Vampires and how I fought one when I just turned 11 with magic. I told you how they have been after me since then and how I beat one when I just turned 12 and even tricked the rest of the vampires. I Told you how they even come to Hogsmeade and even inside Hogwarts looking after me. And you only care about me being there when that bloody bank was destroyed by that dragon. " Orion retorted with a little snort. 

"Ahem," Dumbledore caught and took a deep breath. He really shouldn't care about something like a bank under attack when one of the students from Hogwarts is getting targeted by Vampires, ...but.

Dumbledore with a side glance looks at the destruction which Orion did before he and Grindelwald came here. He really couldn't stop himself from pitying those Vampires. They practically shove their own foot in the furnace. 

If anyone had told him vampires targeting Orion or any other student of Hogwarts, Dumbledore would surely have acted, but after seeing that destructive magic, he didn't feel like acting. What's the point of doing that anyway? 

But that situation changes if Orion himself goes and fights with those Vampires himself. 

"I understand, you are unhappy and worried about your friends becuase of what happened in Hogwarts. Vampires and Dementors came so close to students, it's really our professor's mistake. But Orion you have to calm down. 

No matter how strong you are, no one alone can defeat an entire Vampire Colony and come out of that alive. Even I couldn't in my prime. 

There are not only powerful vampires in there with numbers of hundreds if not thousands, but there are elder vampires. These vampires are all transcendent ancient monsters. Almost every big colony have one of them.

They are the reason why even the wizards don't directly take action against them in their colony. Those elders are as strong as wizards like me or Gellert here. But that only in their turb, in the shade away from the sun. 

[Hmm this ancient Elder Vampire must be the vampire holding the first blood. Remember what I told you about them. They are strong, if they really exist there then we might have to change our plan to attack the colony. We at least can't do that alone.] Merlin who unusually was keeping his silence, spoke out reminding me of what he said about vampires and their origins. 

Hearing this Orion nodded, and he remembered what Merlin told him about their origins. So he too realised what Dumbledore was talking about here. This really does change things.

Definitely, this will make his target extremely hard. But this also gives him a lead, a lead through which he can find out why exactly those damn Vampires are really targeting him. 

Orion fell into a contemplation, not knowing what to do, his confusion was visible on his face. Making Dumbledore relieved, after all, if there is one person in the entire Hogwarts who doesn't listen to his words like the holy gospel's order itself then it's this boy in front of him. 

"I will come with you," Suddenly the voice came, crumbling the all the building persuasion Dumbledore worked so hard to build in Orion.

Both snapped their heads to one blond grandpa/dark lord. Grindelwald look solem. He thought said the words with much amusement in his voice but Dumbledore could see it. Grindelwald didn't just offer this helping hand for nothing. He was after something. 

However, even before he could refute on behalfs of Orion, being his guardian and all, and warn the boy about his past boyfriend's manipulative ways. Orion spoke up.

"Oh, that's nice to hear do tell me why I should believe a dark lord who killed god knows how many wizards in just under a month and almost destroyed the wizarding world in the past ?" Orion asked with a snort. 

"Becuase there is no one else who you can go for help. Is there ?" Grindelwald said with a knowing smile.

This made Orion shut up. 'That damn eye.' He could only grumble internally.

Usually, Grindelwald doesn't see things as he wants to but rather his eyes show things and events with major significance to the world. 

 So his eyes have never been useful to gather information on someone, except now. 

It's just like the world itself depends on what action this young man will take, his existence is crucial for not only the wizarding world but also the muggle world. That was the reason Grindelwald knew so much about Orion. Because no matter what his eyes show him, somehow it's connected with Orion. 

That is also the reason he has quite a lot of information on Orion. Now not all of it was from his magical eye, many actually came from his followers as well. After all, it was a given that he sent people to gather information about Orion when he saw so many of his visions. 

 "Well yes, but it's that no secret. I am after all just a student. I have no one to call for backup. But I don't need it, as long as I know their location, I can think of something to take care of them." Orion huff. Though he previously really thought about this, now he was unsure.

However, he can't back down in front of these two. It's better than his next action remains as much as unpredictable as possible. Especially when these two old men are concerned.

"Gellert, don't corrupt the the young. Orion stop thinking about this. I will not allow you to go after the vampire anymore. That's dangerous." Dumbledore said. 

"I am well aware of the danger, but they are not gonna stop. This time they even came to Hogwarts. I have no idea what will happen next time if they are left alone like this. 

I have to find out why they are going after me and solve this problem from the root." Orion stood up. He didn't intend to waste his time here anymore. 

"Child wait, this is serious. You are not aware of what you are up against here." Dumbledore panicked, he realized that the ward secretly he put up around the small cafe was broken the moment Orion stood up. It was not Grindelwald. Dumbledore was sure about it.

He was suspicious that he couldn't stop Orion from leaving if it came to that. 

" Why stop the boy Albus? He is saying the right things. Those vampires are dangerous and possess more danger than either of you realize." Grindelwald stood up as well. Suddenly his amused tone was gone and he got serious, making both Dumbledore and Orion frown and confused at the sudden change in his demiere. 

"Boy, no Orion was it. 

 I will come with you." Grindelwald announce. 

"Huh, I don't nee....." Before Orion could even say anything. Grindelwald said. 

"It's not up to you. I too have business with them. If you wish you can just ignore me. But I am going." Grindelwald was firm. 

Dumbledore now finally couldn't take this anymore and stood up.

"Gellert, what are you planning? Why you are pushing this boy to his death." Dumbledore shouted angrily. 

"Death, no Albus I am doing no such things. On the contrary, I am trying to save him." Grindelwald said, once again making the other two frowns. 

"And just look at the boy, do you really think he is the type who will listen." Grindelwald once again had his ammuse look back as he saw Dumbledore's eyes twitch with frustration.
