Chapter 159 : Second Book

Orion immediately wanted to start his training with another type of major law, but after hearing what Merlin had to say, he faltered. 

The real issue is never that he won't be able to learn it, even if he doesn't then, that's it, he can start with something else. Another powerful magic. 

But it might cost him a lot of his time. He doesn't want to do that. Wasting even a single year he doesn't want to, let alone wasting 100 years. 

This was a very important decision for him. There are not many examples of mages mastering a Major law in the first place, let alone a single person who masters over two.

Even Merlin, quote and quote the best there is, didn't master any of the major laws just so that he could master all of them. 

Orion doesn't doubt at all that with Merlin's reputation, his talent wouldn't be enough to completely master at least one of the major laws. Merlin told him that his affinity was with time. 

Does this have something to do with him living this long? Could mastering the Law of Time completely make him immortal ? he is not sure. 

No Orion doesn't believe that Merlin can't do that, he is sure that if Merlin wanted to then he could have mastered the Law Of Time. But he didn't do it, this only means that one he either didn't focus on one magic and wanted to master all of them at the same time, there is no way Orion is willing to believe that Merlin will make that kind of mistake.

So the only reason could be that Merlin knew that if he mastered any one of the Laws to perfection, he wouldn't be able to learn other Laws. 

Sigh.

Dejected Orion left the training ground and found himself in the dining hall. Spotting familiar figures Orion just gravitated towards them unconsciously. 

"Orion what are you thinking now, you got that look again on your face," Rose said in her typical cute fashion.

"What face," Orion offhandedly asked, not even looking at her. Though the girl was pretty Orion's training was more important. 

Pouting Rose chidden. "The kind which shouts out that you are not paying any attention." 

"Oh, but I'm paying attention. I saw that you are not sitting with Daphne today. Where is she ?" Orion asked this question to some part just close the conversation to some part genuinely curious where was the blond of their group. 

"Both she and Hermione were called by Professor McGonagall. I don't know the reason though," Rose knocked her head to the side cutely.

[Is it just me or does this girl act cute in front of you] Merlin narrowed his eyes. 

'Don't you think that at your age getting excited by a girl acting cute is a little too much,' 

[Twitch] Merlin's face immediately turns from joking to irritated. These kinds of little jabs are kind of common for them now. 

[Ha, say what you want to say but remember. You will never get women with that kind of attitude] Merlin chided. 

'Hmm, with this kind of face, power, fame and money. I guess I'm good in that department.' Orion immediately shot up, irritating Merlin more. 

Merlin had nothing to refute this, Orion was telling the truth there. He just decided to tune out on this topic. Orion could smirk as he saw the slight pouting look on the chibi grandpa, internally cheered with happiness. 

Over the years he has suffered much under this old man's hand. Cheering internally he return back to his conversation with Rose.

"Did you hear what I said ?" Rose suddenly asked catching Rose of guards.

Blinking, Orion pondered what he just heard, just before he could enter into his mind palace, someone entered the Hall. 

This someone was none other than Dumbledore. 'Phew, perfect timing,' Orion internally muttered.

"Students please settle down. I have an important thing to announce," Dumbledore said. 

The buzzing hall quietens down, and everyone looks at Dumbledore. Waiting for him to complete whatever he wanted to say so they could continue to cause mayhem. 

"Just like last year, this year too one book will be added to the syllabus in Hogwarts," Dumbledore said and Besides the only a few first-year students who had no idea what was going on, everyone looked at Orion with naked hostility in their eyes. 

There was a fire in their eyes like saying how dare you. Not again. They all had fun reading his last book but only once, later on, they had to remember the real theory and information in the book for the test. 

So none of them wanted to read another one of his books if it meant that they had to take a test about it. 

Not to mention, last time Orion mentioned that his next book would go into more detail about magic and would be a little more technical. This means that it's gonna be a bigger pain in the ass. 

"Okay, okay. Please don't kill Mr Ambrosius over this. I know you don't want more syllabus to be added to your exams but I believe me you should thank him that he is willing to share this kind of information with us for free." Dumbledore sighed as he tried to save Orion a little from his peer's ire. 

Orion on the other hand didn't care, those assholes don't even recognize what kind of information and knowledge he is sharing with them. And how it is his fault. He never wrote the book for them. It's Dumbledore who is putting the book in the syllabus, not him. 

But Orion himself was a little shocked seeing Dumbledore announcing today, after all, it was only yesterday night he provided the book to him. Did the old man read the book just under one night? Did he even sleep?

"Here is the book which Mr Ambrosius has written. I have to admit myself that after picking it up once just to check it out, I couldn't put it down until I completed it." Dumbledore said and the teachers sitting beside him also looked curious. 

This time around they didn't get any early sneak peek like the last time. The first book was such a big hit for Orion that not only the Hogwarts teachers/ Students or wizarding populace of Britain but the entire world demanded another book. Well, the entire world besides those old magic fanatics.

"I am well aware that many of you including many professors in Hogwarts are waiting for Mr Ambrosius' next book," Dumbledore said and almost smirked like getting a copy early was something to be happy about.

[People show their true colours at times of extreme need or joy. See that malicious smirk on his face. He is evil I tell you]

'We only wrote about the basics of wandless magic and some methods to cultivate it, at best the biggest contribution here will be that people won't need dangerous dark magic to improve their power to attend wandless magic. So why he is looking this smug is beyond me,' Orion pondered. 

"Here is the next book from Mr Ambrosius, It's called A Force Within," Dumbledore said as he took out his copy. It was a blue book with simple white headings. Much like the previous book it looks kid friendly. 

But only after reading they could say, they had learned their lesson the last time. 

Everyone focused their attention on the book Dumbledore is holding. Rose didn't, both she and Daphne got their copy in Hogwarts Express itself. But there was a shine in her eyes nonetheless. She liked the book apparently. 

Good thing that this time around there wasn't any controversy with the language of the book. Orion hugely tones down the rainbow vomit language when writing this book. 

It still exists but it's miles better than the last book. Even the last book has a 2.0 version with better language available in the market by this time. 

With a flick of Dumbledore's wand, many blue books started to fly inside the hall and one by one they dropped in front of the students and professors. 

Some had giddy looks when looking at the book while some looked lacklustre when they didn't find any comedy in the book like the last time. 

Thanks to only Dumbledore, Rose and Dhapne having read the book, there wasn't much discussion about the book itself but rather everyone was just engrossed in reading the interesting-looking blue book in front of them with a cute Baby Yoda picture on the cover.

But Dumbledore was having none of that, he used the sonorous charm and said.

"And there is one more thing which I have to announce,"
