Fight back

Yousuke was sitting on the bus on his way to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or the USJ for short, which was the facility where they'd do exercises in different extreme situations. A few others tried to get him to spill the beans on his quirk and what could it do, but he wouldn't fall for that. With the sports festival closing in, he wouldn't give them the advantage of knowing what his quirk can do. It wasn't for certain, but the last round would usually be one-on-one battles in a tournament sort of setup.

And more importantly, his quirk records still stated that he could only make spheres, so there'd be a lot of weird questions if it was revealed he could do a lot more now.

So instead of explaining his quirk, Yousuke'd chosen to immerse himself in his talk with Shiozaki, who, as he recently discovered, was really, really into that christianity gig.

"Okay but, why do you pray for stuff? Doesn't that seem a bit selfish? Is god supposed to listen to every single ant that asks for something just because?"

"God is kindhearted and almighty. Why wouldn't he make his children happy?" replied Shiozaki.

"What of the divine plan? Is god supposed to change his divine plan every time some high schooler wishes they got a higher score on a test? Or did none of the prayers till now not go against what's in the divine plan?"

At that point, Shiozaki was struggling to come up with some sort of comeback, but Yousuke didn't let her spew any more religious crap.

"And if god were to ignore your prayer to maintain the divine plan, what would you say? You wouldn't get mad, would you? No, you'd say that it's 'god's plan'. But if it's god's plan and he'd ignore your prayers anyways, why the fuck bother praying in the first place?" finished Yousuke, getting rather excited at the end there, but as long as his point was sent across, he didn't care.

The girl, to her credit, did not get shaken to her core or something like that, but it was clear from her pensive expression that she wasn't so certain of her religion anymore. If she had anything to say to Yousuke, she had missed her chance, because they were approaching the USJ.

The USJ was truly giga-enormous, to put it lightly. The facility was covered in a dome that was at least a kilometer above ground at its highest point. There weren't just a few zones with extreme situations; there were several towns' worth of surface area distributed amongst the different zones. He was repeating himself by this point, but UA is really loaded.

The group's morale was further boosted when they found out they'd be tutored under the Space Hero: Thirteen. The hero greeted the students with a warm attitude, her costume making Yousuke grateful he asked for his suit to be thermally insulated.

Before the hero could begin what seemed to be a lecture, Midnight approached her. Yousuke discreetly used some balls beneath his feet to inch closer to the two, while also using minuscule balls in his ears to heighten his sense of hearing by softening his eardrum. This had the unfortunate side effect of increasing the volume at which he heard the excited chatter of the rest of the class, but he ignored that.

"Why isn't All Might here?" asked Midnight, confused.

"Heroing while commuting and ended up using his time. Resting at the nap room with Principal Nezu." replied Thirteen, raising three fingers.

The information that he heard made Yousuke's eyes widen, though that wasn't caught by the two pro heroes, luckily, since he didn't put on his gas mask yet.

'All Might has a time limit? Why? How? How long is it? Three minutes? No, too short. Three days? No, the media only found out of his presence here in UA a few days ago. Maybe around three hours? That'd match with his usual time doing hero stuff, which got shorter as of late. Makes sense, since he'd have one hour of class per day. But who could be so powerful to be able to hurt All Might like that? He's All Might for fuck's sake. His fight with Toxic Chainsaw wasn't that difficult.

And Melissa couldn't have known about this without telling me. That girl can't lie for shit.'

Yousuke was brought out of his musings when he noticed the Space Hero clear her throat, as if to start some sort of speech.

Unfortunately, the pro hero was interrupted by a purple-black mist that appeared in the middle of the plaza. The mist slowly grew and expanded, one hand exiting from it to reveal a man. Dressed in plain dark clothes, with blue hair that looked in serious need of some shampooing and with many hands draped all over his body.

Initially, only that man exited the purple mist portal, yet, as it expanded further, so did the amount of people surging from it.

Seeing that, Yousuke immediately filled the insides of his suit with balls, puffing it out to the point where he was comparable to Thirteen. With his body overcharged with energy, the teen quickly examined the people coming towards them.

Yousuke easily identified over a dozen villains, with the rest being less well-known, but he was sure they were villains nonetheless.

"Stay behind me and don't move!" shouted Midnight, she and Thirteen standing before the students, ready for confrontation.

'Yeah, fuck that.' thought Yousuke.

The leader of the attack, the lanky man with blue hair, was still standing near the edge of the purple portal, seemingly waiting for something. As that something crossed the portal, Yousuke wondered why the hell was its brain exposed.

During all this, the rest of the class was standing frozen in fear, looking at the villains and the general intention of the invaders to hurt, or even murder, them.

"Villains?!" shouted Eijiro.

"That's crazy! How could villains even invade this place?" asked Kaminari, his eyes wide at the number of villains still pouring out of the purple portal.

The other students talked among themselves, trying to accept the fact that villains had really invaded the USJ. Yaoyorozu would've asked Thirteen about security measures, but the teachers both moved down the stairs to confront the villains. Seeing his chance, Todoroki butted in.

"It seems like this is a planned-out attack. If the school alarms haven't activated, it means they have a villain with a quirk to jam communications. Their numbers are also quite big, a true all-out invasion."

Midnight had left clear instructions on what to do before she moved down the stairs with deceptive agility. Try to settle back the comms and evacuate the premises of the USJ. It sounded simple enough, even if the hero-trainees couldn't help but worry for their teachers.

"Children! Evacuate, now!" Thirteen's worried voice made the hero trainees snap out of their funk and make their way to the enormous doors of the USJ.

Yet, the villains could have that, could they. As if tearing holes in physics was child's play, the mist-like villain that brought the mob on campus appeared right in front of the class. His gaseous body was spread out, making the villain seem much more frightening as his unsettling yellow eyes looked at the teens.

"Your evacuating is something I believe cannot happen at this moment. Forgive us for our rudeness and sudden appearance, but the League of Villains has come here to take All Might's head. Might have there been any changes to the schedule? He should be here already." The gaseous villain had a male, baritone-esque voice, but the contents of his message were less than pleasant.

'They're going to try to kill All Might, the Symbol of Justice? That's not happening. Not with these mob characters down there.' thought Yousuke.

Meanwhile, Thirteen discreetly moved one of her hands behind her back, one of the finger caps on her suit to pop open.

"These words of yours, villain; they are quite presumptuous. Might you have the resolve to back them up?" she said.

At the same time, Yousuke made more minuscule balls underneath his feet, getting ready to rush the villain at any moment.

"Indeed, rescue hero! As I stated, you all cannot leave this place. Such is my job." the baritone villain sounded professional and nonchalant about his proposition, expanding his body to try and encompass all the students.

Yousuke took that as his sign to act, rushing forward while throwing several balls at Thirteen. Using the balls to negate most of the pro hero's weight, Yousuke grabbed the hand that didn't have the popped finger cap and dragged the pro hero with him at high speed.

Similarly, after him, some of his classmates dashed towards the misty villain, though they didn't reach far, as he made a portal beneath all the students, minus Yousuke, who was ahead of them with Thirteen.

"My name is Kurogiri. Remember it as the last thing you heroes heard before being plunged into darkness." declared the villain, his portal indeed catching most of the students in it.

"You know, that line would've been much cooler if you actually got all of us, you know?" deadpanned Yousuke.

"Fu-"

Writing Thirteen's name is way harden than it should be. Also she mad cute.

Give stones.
