*Seven years later*

Since Dovah found Eyepatch, a lot of time has passed, and Dovah is now 12 years old. He likes to wear a blue shirt with black pants and regular shoes, and he wears on his waist a sword as protection. The final detail is his necklace made from the scale of the Night Fury that saved him years ago. With time he got taller, but he is still the smallest of his age. However, when he was ten years old, he started training, and hidden behind his cloth, he had the most defined muscle his age.

Dovah started training to make the most use of the gift in fighting he was given. If he waited so long was not to hurt his body before it was ready. He started with light training and went further and further until he got muscle.

Now, he is the strongest of his age. He didn't even need to test his strength against them to see if it was true. He could feel that he could beat all of them in a fistfight without using any trick. This ability doesn't come from his ability to sense dragons' emotions.

It's an instinct that he got with his talent in fights.

This gift was beneficial in a lot of things. Among them is sensing the danger of someone by looking at them, but it doesn't work for everyone in the tribe. When he tried sensing the threat from the best warrior in the tribe, he could feel nothing. Some people can hide their strength, making them more dangerous in the eye of Dovah.

Another trick is that by looking at someone fighting, Dovah discovers how that person fights and can predict his movement with time. This gives him an easier time reading the flow of a fight and making the right decision to ensure victory.

He didn't try to fight everyone he saw to discover all this, but Jeff kept trying to beat him up, so he learned a lot. Jeff, at the start, was trying only frontal attack, but he got increasingly sneaky on his attack. Surprise attacks, using numbers, attacking from a blind spot, using hidden weapons, he used many different tactics.

Dovah saw these attacks as training and got stronger after each attack. However, Dovah wasn't the only one who trained in the last seven years. Dovah trained Eyepatch for all that time.

In seven years, all the injuries of Eyepatch were fully healed. Only a scar remains on its belly. Now it didn't have an eyepatch anymore, but Dovah never changed its name. This name is a memory of how they met.

Eyepatch also got closer to DovaH and even to Frida and Berg. Frida liked the dragon quickly, but it took a few years for Berg. Since Dovah found Eyepatch, he has been experimenting with how to train dragons and discovered many things.

While training with Eyepatch, he discovered that it could recognize some letters. That's why he taught Eyepatch how to read. It took a lot of time, but now Eyepatch is the smartest Terrible Terror in the world.

The possibility of training with a flying dragon who can read allows it to do much more complicated tasks and can be very helpful. For example, Dovah has been training Eyepatch to fetch objects for him by the name written on a tag. This allowed Eyepatch to learn the language; now, it can recognize an object by telling a name.

This proved to Dovah that dragons are significantly more intelligent than everyone believes.

Dovah and Eyepatch often go together in the forest to collect medicinal herbs. Dovah's medicinal knowledge increased significantly, and he can now brag about being a good doctor. He studied a lot for that, but he also has a great mind greedy for knowledge.

It helped him immensely when Eyepatch fell sick one day. He managed to cure Eyepatch's disease quickly.

Right now, it's the start of summer. Dovah and Eyepatch are in the forest looking for medicinal herbs as usual. Since they are outside the village, Eyepatch isn't hidden, but It is flying a little before posing itself on Dovah's shoulder, its favorite spot when they are in the forest.

Suddenly, Eyepatch rose its head before looking around with wariness. Dovah seeing and feeling that instantly went on its guard before hiding. Then he took out a claw and his sword in each of his hands.

"Which one is it and which direction?"

Eyepatch's senses are much better than Dovah's, they are not much compared to other species, but Eyepatch is incredibly smart and has been training its senses with Dovah's help. Dovah taught it to recognize a threat and use a sword and a claw so Eyepatch could tell if it was a human or animal threat.

Eyepatch chose the sword and showed pointed in a direction behind them.

"They are coming from the village! It's probably Jeff who is trying a new attack again."

Dovah didn't like making enemies, so Jeff was the only one that hated him. This is what makes him believe that the one behind him is jeff. It would soon be night, and he didn't want to deal with Jef, so he decided to avoid him.

"Eyepatch, we are going home with the long way."

Taking a long way will make him late, but it would take less time than dealing with Jeff. Thirty minutes later, he had managed to lose the one following him. It took him time because they were actively trying to track him. Once he lost them, he took a long way to avoid getting close to them.

However, along the way, Dovah felt something strange in this place that wasn't coming from Eyepatch. There was nothing around them except a big rock and trees all around. It was the feeling when Eyepatch was hungry, there was even a little growling, so he asked Eyepatch if maybe it was coming from it.

"Are you hungry, Eyepatch?"

When Eyepatch shook its head, Dovah knew it wasn't normal, so he put his guard up. Suddenly Dovah ducked when he felt an unknown threat getting closer quickly. What tried to attack him was an invisible dragon, but it revealed itself when it saw its surprise attack didn't work.

It was a Changewing, a medium-sized Mystery class dragon. The Changewing was green. It has teeth protruding out its lip from its lower jaw and yellow eyes. It possesses a pair of horns that protrude from the back of its head, a single horn on its nose, and a couple of antennae with leaf-like lobes. The spines on the Changewing are also leaf-like in shape. Its wings are green with yellow edges.

Changewings are known for their ability to get invisible and launch very corrosive green acid as soon as they are out of their eggs. They are extremely dangerous.

As soon as Dovah saw what species it was, he started running away. He could feel the only reason they were attacked was that it was hungry. So while running, he took all his food and threw it in another direction.

Unfortunately, the Changewing didn't notice this since it continued to run after Dovah. When Dovah saw this, he sent Eyepatch in the sky to avoid danger since the Changewing was following him and started running faster. While running, Dovah tried to find a way out of this situation without killing it.

After ten seconds of running, the Changewing caught up to them, and Dovah didn't have any other choice. So he turned back to him while taking out his sword, ready to fight. The changewings wasn't impressed by that, but it was wary, so it stopped and launched a blast of acid toward Dovah that he easily dodged.

Dovah run closer to the Changewing and tried to attack the dragon to the head. Yet it didn't happen. Just as they were to clash, a shadow jumped out of a tree to attack the changewing and pushed it out of the way, while Dovah struck empty air with his sword.

This surprised Dovah greatly, but that wasn't the end of his surprise. The black shadow was a familiar black dragon that was now staying between Dovah and the Changewing while growling at the other dragon. However, It quickly threw the food that Dovah had thrown away earlier toward the Changewing.

Both Dovah and the green Changewing were surprised by that. Soon, it quickly took the food in its mouth and run away while turning invisible.

The black dragon then turned to look at Dovah and he saw the same dragon that had saved his life a few years ago. A Night Fury.
