Chapter 13: Kronos Defeated and King of the Titan

Kronos was walking out of his room. He noticed that nobody was there. No matter how loud or who he was calling, nobody answered or came. He started to wandered around his palace but he did not see anyone. He got angry and ransacked the place while venting his anger. As he was calming down, he heard a voice.

Marcus: Well if you angry about nobody being here, you're not gonna like this next part.

Kronos looked at who was talking to him. When he saw Marcus, his eyes shot red.

Kronos: YYOOUUUUU!!!!

He charges at Marcus but pass through him. Kronos was confused by this. The reason he passed through him was because of haki. Marcus became the god of haki.

(reminder: Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes.)

Haki requires will or spiritual power but it is not them. Marcus did the extreme opposite of Busoshoku Haki. Instead of strengthening his body, he loosen it to the point of being intangible. That is only possible because he has absolute control over haki.

Kronos kept attacking Marcus for an 1 hour but did not land a single hit. The new skill had a cooldown but as Marcus control time it was not hard to speed 10 minutes into 1 seconde. At this point, Marcus had enough of this test run of new ability and decided to speak.

Marcus: Kronos king of titan! I, Marcus D. Nika, First Viltrumite challenge you for leadership of the Titans!

Kronos: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I accept.

Kronos was furious but when he heard that Marcus was challenging him he became extremely happy since he could not be dethrone by anyone other than his children of which Marcus was not part of.

Marcus had seen that Kronos had zero fighting knowledge as during this time it was he who hit strong and take a strong hit that won so he decided to recreate Franky vs Senior Pink battle. You hit once then you get hit until one can't get up. Marcus was excited for a second until he saw the future where he would kill Kronos with his strongest punch. He became dejected and decided to use Kronos as a punching/strenght meter. The brawl lasted a few hour until Marcus saw that if he used anymore strenght he would seriously injure Kronos. That was not his plan as he did not came here to take the throne but to free the Titans. This fact had escape Kronos, he thought he was going to win under the impression that Marcus challenged him for his position as king but Marcus actually challenged him for the right to lead the Titans. Kronos would still be their king but they would not need to follow his orders as for Marcus, he was not a Titan to begin with Kronos had no power over him.

Marcus walked to Kronos and put his two hands near him. Both his arm started to glow bright.

Marcus: regular Technique: Six Powers Ogi- *Haoshoku Raito Rokuogan*

Kronos was sent flying through the palace and lost conscious.

[*Ding* You have challenged King of Titan and won.

This has never been done before.

You have challenged Kronos and won the right to lead the Titans. The Titans are no longer loyal to Kronos. Due to you strength, charisma and luck as well as your feat every Titan respect you and has silently sworn loyalty to you in their hearts.]

As Marcus was about to leave, he received a notification.

[You have a message from a being you classified as ROB 1]

Marcus was feeling luck thus opened the message.

[I really hate you! I want to put a curse on you but considering your luck it would bite me in the ass later. I will keep things as brief as possible since I'd rather not talk to you. You should receive this when you beat Kronos as you had vaguely put it in your backstory. You were the last of your batch to be reincarneted and thus you get a special reward. Since I'd rather not give you anymore power ups, I thought I would just fix what we broke inside you....]

Marcus: Broke?

[As expected, you still haven't noticed it. Well, I'll just say, stay with the Olympians till they became 12. You will know what it is as soon as you see it.]

After that, Marcus went back to mount Olympus where he brought the good news to everyone. The Titan easely accepted it as Marcus was a thousand time better than Kronos. Marcus still said that Zeus, Poseidon and Hades would have to go and kill Kronos after their weapons were finished to which all three smiled at the proposal.

The weapons were done after 6 more months and the trio went to battle Kronos. It took three days and three night as Kronos had took this fight seriously and used his time control to slow the three brothers. Kronos never had the will to train his power he was always content with slowing his enemy. That was his final mistake. after his defeat, they banished him into Tartarus as they thought death was too kind for him.

When the trio returned, Zeus wanted to officially make Marcus, King of the Titans, but he was too late as Marcus had disband the Titan's hierarchy. Gaia, Prometheus and Zeus were shocked but they became even more shocked when they heard Marcus words.

Marcus: Nice try but your 5 billion years too early to try to control me. ZEHAHAHAHAHA!

At his statement, they realized he just had them in a check mate though all of them got what they wanted. Gaia and Prometheus acheived their goal to protect the Titans as they saw that even without the hierarchy all of them, except Metis, were loyal to Marcus. As for Zeus, he was happy at the level of how Marcus did not want the throne of the ruler. The Titans would not rebel as long as Marcus did not act and since he did not have any desire for the throne, their was zero chance of that happening.

The same things happened as in the mythology, Zeus got the sky, Poseidon the sea and Hades the underworld though this time all were happy about the result.
