Go For The Ass!

Lux's mind raced, what type of pet did he get?

He tapped on the pet tab and it showed a 5 by 12 inventory space. One slot showed a little icon, Lux clicked on it.

A huge buffalo appeared in front of him, it was almost identical to the buffalo he killed before but it had a less stern face and short horns, it was also smaller than the other. It was called a Black Buffalo Ride, Lux smirked.

This was just too perfect, he had been traveling before on foot which exhausted his strength to fight monsters. But now with this buffalo, he could run around with no sweat, and traveling long distances would now be a breeze.

Lux wondered if the buffalo was actually alive, he looked around it and it seemed to be breathing perfectly and even scratched itself from an itch.

"Seems alive to me" Lux shrugged.

Lux got onto his stead and felt an indescribable feeling, it was as if he was the buffalo. He moved one foot of the bull as if it were his, simultaneously, he could move his body too.

"This is so cool!" Lux began making the bull run around in circles, it seemed he could only control the buffalo when he was on it.

He could jump high too, the speed of the buffalo was unmatched with anything else Lux had seen before. He wanted to test how long it would take for the buffalo to reach the camp from here. Usually for him on foot, it would take around half a day but with the buffalo, it would be much faster.

Boom!

The buffalo started running at full speed towards camp. Everything around Lux went blurry from the sheer speed of the buffalo. They got to camp in around 2 hours.

Lux was in complete shock, what took him half a day to do took the buffalo a measly 2 hours. He was very satisfied with his newfound pet.

When Lux got off his stead it disappeared into small blue particles. Lux could summon the buffalo at will any time he wanted but that was expected. Aria walked out of her tent with a bedhead, she looked at the buffalo with a casual look and then stared at Lux.

"Come on, we are going hunting" Lux was planning on taking Aria with him to hunt because he felt bad leaving her back at camp.

On the way to camp, he saw a cicada that had both of its wings broken so it would be great prey to hunt but figured he might as well bring Aria along with him so he hopped back onto the buffalo and pulled Aria up onto the back of the buffalo.

Lux controlled the Buffalo to bring him to where he saw the cicada. There it stood, completely still as a board. If it weren't for the fact it buzzed one would think it was dead.

But the more Lux looked at its broken wings, the more he was scared of what might have done that to the monster. They weren't thin wings that was for sure, so snapping them like that wasn't easy and it wasn't like the cicada would let them do that to it.

Lux got off his buffalo and approached the big cicada. It didn't even blink, Lux wondered what it planned on doing when he attacked. It then leaped into the air.

Whoosh!

Lux pulled out his two daggers and used a water slice immediately.

Slash!

But it wasn't that easy, the cicada nullified the cut instantly. Lux was in shock. The water instantly turned to steam, the cicada had evaporated it. It smashed its body into the ground, rocks flew around in all directions.

Gritting his teeth, Lux jumped back and summoned the buffalo. He still had a chance. He jumped onto the buffalo and ran around the cicada. It tried to attack the buffalo but the buffalo was too fast.

The cicada screamed in anger, it smashed its legs on the floor with all its might and shook the ground. The buffalo lost a bit of speed but it was just enough for the cicada to jump towards it.

The leg of the cicada looked like a flying sword ready to gut someone, but then suddenly the buffalo disappeared into blue particles. Lux had jumped back before and took back the buffalo into his inventory.

The cicada was now defenseless from behind.

The thing was that the water slice didn't work on it and it had very tough skin on it. But there was only one place that really was defenseless, the ass.

Lux flew in like a rocket, dagger in front of his head, he was practically an arrow.

Rap!

Lux jabbed his dagger up the ass of the insect, he started gutting the bowels of the cicada and scraped the meat off the bottom. Lux tried not to cringe at how disgusting it was and reached deeper into the back of the cicada.

"REEEEEEeeeeeeee!" The cicada screamed at the pain of its bottom being ravaged by a savage.

Going deeper into its bottom, Lux felt he had reached the lungs of the monster. The cicada jumped around in a desperate attempt to get rid of its aggressor but Lux latched on tight like gum stuck on a shoe.

The cicada smashed its back onto the floor and rolled around in pain, it was in agony. Lux grabbed the waist of it and struck its neck with the squid dagger, the tough hide of the cicada didn't break but it was a good place to grip onto.

Using the rest of his energy, Lux ended the cicada's life with one final stab into its heart. It's screaming slowly faded away as Lux had killed the monster.

Gasping for air and clinging on to the last string of dignity, Lux fell to the floor in exhaustion both physically and mentally.

"That's probably the most disgusting thing I've ever done in my 4 weeks in God's Mercy" Lux wanted to barf but he felt if he did he would truly die from lack of nutrition.

Aria stood in front of Lux, staring as if it was nothing. Then she pulled out a knife which surprised Lux, it just appeared from nowhere. It was a very fancy one at that too, it was quartz white with a golden rose hilt and very intricate line work on the blade.

"Is she really a player like me?" Lux asked himself.

If she really was like him, a player then she also had the leveling system in her. Lux was dazed, but couldn't understand how a little girl was chosen to become a god's successor.

Lux stood up and watched the little girl curiously. She cut some meat up and brung them to Lux. She held the meat in her hands casually, she shuffled her hands like she wanted Lux to do something.

"Oh right, a fire" Lux started a quick fire and started cooking the meat while Aria brought them to him.

"She really is something," Lux said to himself while stroking his chin.

The meat started producing a pleasant smell to Lux and Aria. She had already cut the meat and then waited for it to be completely cooked. Lux passed the piece of meat to Aria, she started eating quietly, briefly nibbling the meat.

Lux on the other hand ate the meat like a barbarian, ripping the chunk of meat like a raptor. He didn't really care about proper etiquette when he was stuck in a world filled with monsters.

The two ate at their own pace until the campfire died out. Aria slowly drifted to sleep next to Lux.

Lux checked his stats while stroking Aria's hair, he had a surprised look on his face.

He'd finally leveled up to level 25.
