Chapter-6 Third Eye

"Aunty Mia, as always, your food is delicious." I praised the aunt who cooks food for the entire boarding home as I was wolfing down my lunch.

"Thank you, Asura, but how many times are you going to say the same thing? Ever since you joined here, I have been hearing it every day. " replied aunt Mia with a shake of the head.

"Hehehe. As long as I eat your food, I can't stop myself from praising it. You are the best cook in the entire world. " I replied back with a giggle.

After finishing my lunch, I bade farewell to my aunt and made my way upstairs to my room. It was a single-occupant room, though it was small it was enough for me. As I did have many things, I was even able to live somewhat spaciously. After unlocking the door to the room, I locked it back and sat on the chair that was by the window and bathed in the sun.

As it was the winter season, the temperature was just right. As I sat down, I massaged my forehead with my fingers and I touched a bump in the middle. My brows creased in concentration as I remembered the sequence of what had happened this morning.

"Bang..bang."

"Sura... Asura."

"Breakfast time is going to be over... come down soon."

"Huh"

I was startled awake when I heard Aunt Mia calling me to come and eat breakfast. After looking at my surroundings, I noticed I was back in bed lying in the same position as I had been the night before.

I sighed in relief, noticing I was back in my room, not in the dirty lobby of the abandoned hotel.

"Asura..are you OK there?"

I heard the concerned voice of Aunt Mia and decided to think later and replied to her sitting on the bed. "Yes. Aunt Mia. I am fine. I was inside the toilet and didn't hear you. Sorry for making you worry. I will come to eat in a second. "

"Aah. OK, Asura. I have kept aside a portion for you. Do come and eat it. " Aunt Mia replied and I heard her going downstairs.

A smile formed on my face, feeling her concern and warmth for my well-being, as I got up from bed and hurriedly went to the toilet to clean myself up.

After brushing my teeth, I proceeded to wash my face. When I applied soap to my face, I felt a bump on my forehead. I stopped in my tracks and looked into the mirror closely and noticed a small bump in the middle of my forehead in the shape of an eye.

"Must be due to the fall I experienced last night," I mused aloud and continued on with washing my face. In a few minutes, I opened the door to the room and walked out and made my way to the canteen.

"Good morning Asura" x10

All along the way, I was greeted by the people living there, and after climbing down three floors, I entered the cafeteria. It was pretty empty as it was late in the day and everyone would have eaten already and gone to their jobs. As I thought about the job, my brows creased in annoyance at my situation.

I shook my head at wasteful thoughts and made my way behind the food counter where my portion of food was being kept. I took it and made my way back to a table, where I sat down and started eating slowly.

"Hey, Asura. Good morning child. " I was greeted by an old lady who was the owner of the boarding house. Everyone calls her grandmother Martha. She is a kind old lady who is always helpful to those in need.

"Good morning, Granny Martha. How are you? Have you had your breakfast? " I beamed a smile at her and greeted her enthusiastically.

Seeing me so happy made me smile more and she replied in a soft, kind voice. "Yes, my child. I have been doing well with the blessings of the Lord Jesus. "

"That was great to hear from Granny. May Lord Jesus be with you always. "

"So, child. How's your work going? Is everything alright? " She asked in a concerned voice, making me think she was asking about my bump on my forehead.

I nodded my head in enthusiasm and replied while smiling sheepishly. "That granny...I was sleepy and hit my head on the wall. That is what caused this bump. Don't worry, it will heal in a day or two. "

As I looked at her, I thought she would admonish me to take care of myself, but instead, she looked at my forehead in confusion and asked, "What bump are you talking about, Asura?" I did see anything. Even though I am old, my eyesight is good. "

This time it was my turn to be confused as I touched the bump on the forehead and said "this one granny... the one I am touching see it in the shape of an eye. Never knew bumps could happen in the eyes. "

Granny Martha's brows scrunched up as she studied my face in concentration and shook her head. "No Asura I do see any bump marks on the forehead. Maybe you are mistaken. " She even leaned forward to scrutinize my forehead to see if she was not able to see properly, but there seemed to be no bump on my forehead. She shook her head in denial that the bump was there.

I was utterly confused by what was happening, as I was able to feel the bump and touch it, so why was granny not able to see it?

So as to not worry her more, I laughed it away and replied, "You are right granny. I was just teasing you. Hehehe. Sorry. "

She shook her head at my childish antics and left. "Take care of yourself, child."

I didn't reply to her and just ate my food in silence. After a while, I finished eating and made my way towards my room while still feeling the bump.

On the way upstairs, I asked anyone who I saw if they saw any bumps on their forehead or not. But everyone looked at me weirdly and replied no.

By the time I reached my room, I must have asked more than five people. So I concluded that only I must be seeing and feeling the bump.

"Sigh"

After staring at the reflection in the mirror intensely for a while, I am sure that only I can see or touch the bump.

"Sigh..."

A sigh left involuntarily as I stood up from the seat, breaking away from the thoughts.

"What should I do now?" I mused aloud to myself and couldn't think of anything else except, If there is a chance at knowing what is happening, it should be in the hotel. while thinking I just went on to lay on the bed preparing for the inevitable transfer.
