What Was He Doing?

"Actually that was an interesting story." Kett said as she looked away from him. "Okay then, let's get out of here." Sage said while grabbing her hand and leading towards the tunnel. They got out of the kitchen. Luckily, the furious cook was not in there. They walked along the passages and corridors and reached the seperate hallways they were supposed to be in. Both of them sneaked in and to Kett's utmost relief, the guard was still sleeping.

Days passed. Months passed. Kett and Sage continued to sneak out of their sleeping places and had secret meetings in the secret room. They went for walks in the beautiful garden. Since they were both nature lovers, they had a lot to talk about. They had so much fun stealing food from the cafeteria. Not to mention that they almost got caught a couple of times. Kett and Sage bonded with each other not just as friends, but siblings. They were always there for each other no matter how confusing the stuff gets.

One day, Kett was walking along a corridor, making her way to the kitchen when someone grabbed her arm. The sudden unexpected force made her body get out of her control so she had no other choice but to fall into a dark attic room which was nearby. It was so dark that no one could see through the dense darkness. Even though there was no source of light, the shadows of the room could be seen. Judging by them, the room was crowded with many boxes and tools. Then there he was, standing straight infornt of Kett, his back facing in her direction, his hands on his back. He was the cause of the sudden force she faced a couple of minutes ago. Even though he was just an outline in the dark, Kett soon recognised him when green flames started to flow out of his body, invading the darkness. "Sage!" She exclaimed in surprise as he turned towards her. He grinned. "Yes, Alessia." "Alessia? Why you calling me that all of a sudden?" "Because that is your name ofcourse." His voice was so cold, unlike before. "No. I'm Kett, Kett McMillan. You know me. We're friends. What are you tryanna do?" Kett asked, getting confused every second. With that Sage spreaded his arms and unleashed his powers while the environment glistened with the green flames.
