The Betrayal

"Sage! What's wrong with you?" Kett shouted as he started attacking her with his powers. Plants that grew out of nowhere started to wrap her tightly, making it hard for her to breathe. She almost chocked to death but her powers got activated and she was ready to fight back. Red and grey flames started flowing out of her body and penetrating through the plants which were gripping her tightly. With all her might, she focused on setting herself free from the nasty plants and she succeeded. The plants were soon dead and smashed into pieces. Sage looked furious. "How dare you stand up to me?" "How dare you attack me in the first place?" She snapped back at him. "Devils like you has no right to live." "Devils? Why are you calling me weird names? What is going on?" She asked, baffled. But before she went on with her questions, something sharp went through her body. She lost her balance and fell onto the floor. It was a sharp spine stuck in her flesh. Blood was pouring out of the fresh wound. Soon she was laying in the middle of a pool of blood. Regardless of the fact that Kett was already helpless on the ground, sage used his powers to stab her once again. But this time Kett took her step first. She got up and defended herself with the grey shield she had produced once before. Then only she noticed how her costume had changed. It was sparkling in red and grey colours. She was holding a sword which had a red hilt with five circles on it. Two of the circles were black and the other three were colourless. Kett could've stabbed Sage with her sword, but she just couldn't do so. Something about him made her stop and endure with the pain he was causing. Another sharp spine painfully made it's way through her wound as her shield broke. Her eyes were misty and teary but she could see a second outline of a man arriving at the scene. She could hardly move but the second he entered the room, Kett's sword killed him without any second thought. She was not sure who it was but she did not care. She wasn't strong enough to care either. With that she fell on to the floor and she felt her eye lids shut before she could stop. She had no idea how long she was lying there, but when she finally opened her eyes, she was not alone. Two more bodies were lying alongside her. One was Sage's ofcourse. Even after the huge betrayal, Kett could not stop herself but run to him and check his pulses. He was alive. Then she turned to the second body and she was not surprised to see who it was.
