“I know. But I can’t help worrying about things. Coming here to Florida would also get him out of the whole Hollywood thing.”

“Well, let’s talk about something more hopeful then,” Sarah said.

“Like what?” David asked.

“How hot was Kaden the other day?”

David scratched the back of his head and got his own plastic spoon out to eat his ice cream

“I don’t know, Sarah, how hot was he?” Vi asked, playing along.

“Smoking hot,” Sarah added, high fiving Vi after her response. “Come on, David, you have to agree he was blazing.”

David shrugged.

“Oh, don’t be shy. We both read your book,” Sarah said.

“Book? You mean my autobiography that was supposed to sell at least 300,000 copies, but only sold 100,000?” David didn’t mean to sound bitter, but he knew it came out that way. Because his autobiography didn’t sell more, any thoughts he had of a writing career vanished.
