A Discourse on Powers

"So what about the Mummy verse? Those accursed items could give you a power up, and you could keep assassinating the main cast on both the sides." Rob helpfully asked.

"Nah! The powers there are the usual spiel: world ending catastrophe, unlimited forces of evil and indestructible army, none of which I can bring along with me. OR CAN I?" I asked with a puppy dog eyes, and knew I failed at them, when ROB shook his head wryly.

"If I allowed a companion to travel, then I would be setting a precedent for the other Planeswalkers who keep bugging us about bring WAIFUS and HUBBIES on their journey. So NO! No living beings, even familiars across the worlds. Well, if the army wasn't sentient, I could allow you to carry them in your Hammerspace."

"Huh. Cool. Then does the Army of Anubis count?" I asked.

"Not even by a long shot. They are all immortal shades of the dead warriors from the Underworld. Next you'd ask to allow Ninja summons from Naruto world in DxD."

I gasped. "You don't allow summons across multiverse? That is bullshit! Then that means, I cannot summon Flame Atronachs or Frost Atronachs to fight Firebenders?"

He smiled and shook his head. "Atronachs are the shades or copy of the beings in the Oblivion plane. These shades would simply be summoned to fight for you, and disappear. They wouldn't be sentient or be breaching the worlds to reach across. Summons from Naruto, on the other hand are sentient and hence not allowed."

I remembered something. "What if I have a Tailed Beast inside me, or a Sacred Gear, where the Dragons or some God are imprisoned?"

He thought about it. "No. In either case, we don't allow the imprisoned gods or other sentient beings to travel with you. In cases of Sacred Gear like belongings, the gear will be copied and blessed by us to perform as intended at the same level, without an actual being inside it, while the original is returned back to the world. That is applicable for Cursed Weapons which have demons and other entities imprisoned in them. For Tailed Beasts, we allow you to contain the exact amount of chakra in your body, and return the sentience back to its world, for it to regenerate. In cases of things like Angel's grace from Supernatural or Soul stones from Skyrim, they are made simply containers of energy, and allowed to pass through the world's barriers."

I thanked him for the detailed answer. But that meant, I was literally compensated for leaving my belongings in the original universe, while I get to carry anything as long as it is not sentient.

"And what if it is sentient weapon? Something like from God-Eaters, or Samehada sword from Naruto? Do you copy the original, give me the copy which would function exactly like the original, and allow me to keep it?"

He smiled and nodded.

That was really cool.

But back to the question, of which world to go to. I was very much tempted to go to DC and Marvel worlds, augment myself with the powers. Wait a minute!

"Hey, IF I went to DC world and made myself a Speedster, before even Barry Allen, does it mean, I would lose the connection to the speed force, when I exit the world?"

He thought about it, and waved his hand. "Generally, I wouldn't answer questions like this, since we enjoy watching a Planewalker feel the unlimited energy of the dimensions like the Light, Darkness, Shadow, Strength or even Hell Dimension, and then lose their powers and source of their abilities, when they jump realities."

Looking at my shock, he nodded. "Yes, if you derive your strength from literal elemental dimensions like fire, water, light, dark dimensions, or the conceptual dimensions like Speed Forces Strength Forces, Sage Forces, or others of the same kind, you would lose the connection you have to them, when you leave those worlds. But there are exceptions. Powers which tie in with the Concepts themselves, like the Lantern Corps, or Lords of Order and Chaos, or the Demons of the seven sins, would be connected to these emotions, sins, or elements of reality, which are omnipresent. Therefore, you would retain that control and power. Just like you would retain all your magic and strengths and abilities from your previous worlds, even if you go to a world, where those powers do not exist. They are a part of your soul, your very existence, and whatever power or augment that survives the travel, when you leave the world, will be yours inherently."

I was a bit relieved at that, even if I hated the fact that I cannot fucking be a multiverse hopping Speedster. That would have been cool. But this also means I am limited in what powers I choose for myself, and by extension, what worlds I want to visit as a result.

"Could I choose something specific? For example, X-Men world, based on the shitty movies, but not being part of Marvel worlds in any way. Something like a independent world, where only mutants exist, but not Inhumans, Aliens, Gods and Titans, who exist in the Marvel."

He nodded. "Quite possible. I can even allow you to choose a certain parameter of a world, and I would simply select the slice of reality where it is true. For example, you could choose an X-Men world where colour blue doesn't exist, so Raven and Beast become Invisible, as people and reality cannot comprehend the colour. Or something like, you would be the only male mutant, who is virile, while the rest of the male mutants are forced to be sterile. Or something, where humans don't hate mutants, but worship them. Any and every imaginable variety is a reality."

Huh! That does sound cool. Although the sterile mutant option looks like a patented hentai plot! But, I remember thinking how cool it would be to cuckold Scott and bang Jean while he watches. Scott Summers was singularly the most irritating mutant in the Xavier's madhouse, and I wanted to exact untold vengeance of the snotty brat!

But I also want to try other slices of reality, something where people are not rational, when they would hear a certain phrase, which only I would know. Apart from fun and entertainment, it would mean that I get to enjoy a lot in this world.

But as I thought of Childish prankable worlds and the vast worlds available, I saw one option that lit up my world. BEN 10. Fucking A!
