The big garden that Damien refers to is the land Isla bought to grow many of her flowers during the past five years. The location was on the outskirts of the village, a bit far away from houses, shops and the people. The villagers also had their lands that they transformed to farms for plants and animals, built sheds and for other purposes.
Isla could remember when she wanted to buy land, and she had to meet Lance since he was the village head of the Asta village. Also, according to history, the village rightfully belongs to Lance's family, since one of his ancestors was part of the villagers who joined hands with others to build on this land.
Isla still didn't know all of Lance's past, but she knew that if she wanted to have a land in her name in Asta village, she had to meet Lance. Thanks to the empress, she was lucky enough to have a friendly relationship with him. However, Isla did not like the fact that Lance practically wanted to give her the land for free.
