47 Gael's Threat

''Commander Renes is as bold as rumors say,'' Dante eyed the man who sat nonchalantly in his presence.

This man almost killed his child with Annalise. If not for the grand duke, his father-in-law, he would be in a life-and-death duel with this man.

''I am not as bold as the duke says. I am like this, because the duke did something to my lady, and that makes me a little unbearable.'' Gael smiled, like nothing had ever happened between them.

'' What does the grand duke say about this?'' asked Dante. Surely his father-in-law would not be that heartless to end an unborn baby's life.

''His excellency is more bearable than I, but he did send me to warn you.'' As before, the smile on Gael's face was nowhere to be found, and his piercing gaze made Dante's fingers to flinch a little.

''If anything happens to our lady or her child, you and your mistress will cease to exist in this world.''
