Hiding (Harriet PoV)

I walked into the new apartment and felt drained immediately, why do we have to keep doing this ? This is the third time I and my family which consist of Just my dad and I is moving in the last 6 months .Before, we usually spend upto 2 years before we move but since my 16th birthday I observed that our relocation has been constant .Now in New York City.

Hello, I am Harriet Anderson and I live with my Dad Fredrick Anderson who is a medical doctor and has been the only one I know, I was told my mum was killed when I was 6 and my dad has always been quiet on the topic when I ask how, I know it isn't easy killing a werewolf. Yes we are werewolf even tho we have to keep it a secret from our neighbors and my friends who are humans ,not that i have any werewolve as friends .

Dad told me that there are other people like us but they live together and we are not together in such settlement because he needed to run from some people trying to harm him hence why we are moving once again into another new apartment.

I don't know anybody here but as usual I am used to not having friends due to our constant relocation the most I have had is Nancy and Sophia but Dad forbids me from calling or chatting them up ,He said his enemies might try to use them to get to us when they see that we have relocated again.

Harriet! I'm home, Dad is back from work ,he got the new job offer 2 weeks ago after we moved in and I am not allowed to move around the neighborhood yet until dad is sure I am safe .I rushed downstairs to welcome my only family.

Dad ! how was work ? giving my Dad a tight hug because I am bored sitting at home all day for the past 3 weeks .

Stressful as usual, he replied,dropping the bags of groceries on the kitchen countertop.

Harriet, sort out the things I got from the store and make daddy a meal I am tired.he said and sighed .

Dad went up the stairs to freshen up and join me in the kitchen as we prepared dinner, after eating we played some games, enjoying the peace we have without knowing the dangers ahead of us.

Sometimes Dad looks at me lost in thought, but if i ask,he reply with

"you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen ' it wasn't bothersome at first but I have observed that whenever this happens his mood drops drastically and it pains me knowing the troubles dad's in and couldnt help ,i wish to go up powerful and stronger so as to be able to help him fight off those after him,i know there is more to this and sometimes i feel it is because of me dad's in trouble or could it be because mum isn't here and dad miss her?maybe it is because of those after us , Dad has been able to get away always and trust he will continue to . I know this issue is affecting Dad and he is trying to be very strong for me but it saddens me seeing struggle all alone for both of us all the time . I said to myself as i retire to my room .
