6-If only you knew

Yato was sound asleep when he was startled awake by a noise.

BAM.

He opens his eyes, and, to my surprise, a young vampire is feasting on an apple right in front of him.

As he continued to eat, he said, "I am kicking you out."

Why He asked as his eyes adjust to the brightness.

Why? Because you're a married couple, of course! Instantly, He stood up.

''What.''

He justified his reasoning with, ''I said since she's still here in my house."

''oh.'' He heaved a deep sigh and got off the sofa.

"I'll go talk to her today," I stated as I went to get some coffee.

"That's something you do every day," he said.

He looked to his side and asked, "Do I?"

''Yeah.'' Since his apple had mysteriously vanished, he nodded.

He finally asked, "Okay...you want to come too?"

''Let's go check out my residence; why not? Haha. ''

...

"Hello, I'm not the homeowner of this house, but I am——"

After cutting Ito, He opened my mouth.

"He says it makes him sad that you have to reside in such a filthy place." He murmured, casting an eye over at the scowling redhead.

''Dirty?'' He felt Ito's icy glare.

That's not true, I cleaned it. She gestured inside, saying, "It's better now."

They both look inside at that point, and it's been improved upon.

"Wow...that was free house service."

"H-He means, you could think, you worked incredibly hard." The correct answer is to paraphrase that. This jerk...

"Thanks...and by the way, don't mind, your teeth are pretty sharp."

Something she tells Ito.

''Really? I inherited it from my father and, believe me, every vampire needs one.''

Silence.

"Right, a vampire who sucks my mind, irritating the crap out of me," he said.

Everyone else is laughing but him.

"Right...I need my home fast —-''

''I mean, what do we do now? There's no way you can survive here on your own...live here.'' In the middle of his sentence, he jumped in.

"Well, I have you," she answered with a tentative grin spreading across her face.

To which he said, "Yeah, but you belong somewhere." He tried to be courteous, but it came out all wrong.

''My parents were killed in a car accident, and I don't know what to do with myself.'' As the color left her cheeks, she said.

"My brother left me; now I'm all on my own."

Alone? Did I hear you correctly?

What?

Do you not feel alone? Surely you must have been in pain right off the off. And if she only knew...

The internal voice became completely irrational.

No. Please don't bring this up at the moment. You are not going to do that. STOP.

STOP. STOP. STOP.

As soon as He heard Ito say, "I am sorry for your loss," my thoughts shifted back to the present.

''Right...'' He was dying of my thoughts, thus He mumbled.

''I wished I....could just.... fade away. So, I hopped on a train, although an unknown one. And now look at me.... Lost.''

No words were said as we listened intently.

"I don't know..." She muttered under her breath as her restless squirming reached a fever pitch. Should I say that she is sensitive?

Can't say I'm surprised; you seemed sensitive as well. Well, well...you were too sensitive.

DO NOT GO FURTHER...

He pleaded to his inner voice.

''You're welcome to stay as long as you like before you feel ready to go on.'' Ito recommended.

He had started acting strange. He never communicated in such a manner...

"I... really? Surely, I am putting a load on the two of you.'' She cried out in shock.

We both exclaimed at her, "Of course not!"

"I... we...you remain in this place. And heal...and we're both glad to have you here so we don't see you as an extra load.'' Ito gave her reassurance.

I could only nod in agreement.

''Thanks! You two are very kind. She went on, "Especially you...Yato..."

She beamed as she said, "Thank you for your kindness."

Even Ito cracked a grin, but I was the only one who simply stood there. Sickened. Dreadful. Sullen. Appalled. I'm a beast all by myself. Someone who commits murders. KINDNESS?! HAHAHAHAHA!

After this, he was a completely insane man. Their attention was riveted on him as he softly laughed.

'' I'm going to...leave now. I must depart, till next time, bye!'' He bade farewell. They both gave him perplexed looks, but he didn't care. His response was to flee. Again. It's all over again. Do demons ever go away?

Triggered. He finally let his inner demons out, thanks to her. There he goes, shouting his lungs out as he desperately tries to regain his composure. Carelessly hopping from one tree to another till he finally collapses. You just can't handle the truth, can you?

Stop. Leave it alone! You need to scream till they leave!

Then leave. A monster has no qualities, only vices; if only she knew... if only you knew. please tell yourself this. SINS. When he couldn't take it anymore, he bit his hand. Monsters do this and not that...monsters this and that. He was tired of telling himself the same horrible poisonous message every day. If only you knew...that, is it was so hard to call myself even decent. And there she goes with her crap...'' kindness.'' If only you knew that it hurts. If only you knew...it was hard and it was dark.

"Are we going full savage here?" As he knelt there, a voice whispered to him.

When he looked up, he saw...him. He's smiling at his enemy, who is supposed to be his enemy. Ray.

His voice cracked as he said, "What....w-what are you...doing here?"

Is everything all right? Ray inquired as he got closer to him.

Tears.

He was on the verge of tears. If he doesn't like him, why is he treating him so nicely? Just like his brother. A question to see if he's doing all right. Why?

''You are good, Ray, you are indeed very good, Ray.'' He spoke softly, but the vampire with the long hair caught on.

''The good is in you and I want you to know that I know it.'' As Yato had a good look at him, he started talking.

Long, dark hair pulled back into a ponytail. a long, sleek coat and matching velvet top. His pointed grin and bright black eyes were like a mental embrace. At last, he broke down and sobbed, his eyes filling with heavy, moist tears.

''Ray.'' After wiping the tears and sweat from his face, he mumbled again.

''Yato.'' Whispering back, he returned the embrace of the long-haired vampire.

Though younger, he was still vastly superior to him in nearly every way.

As they relaxed on the ground together, they fell into a peaceful stillness.

''...''

Ray piped out unexpectedly: "You made a buddy of a human, instead of making up with me, huh?"

He sputtered, "How...how do YOU know?!

As he stood up, he remarked, "I saw you and Ito somehow too...with her."

Oh. That was all he managed to say.

"You shouldn't have done that.'' He was being direct.

''It was only her and the darkness.... here, in danger. Simply put, I had to.'' Even as he distanced himself, he voiced objections.

"You have no idea what might happen if..."

''Nothing will happen, and nobody will find out.''

"I knew it was a person, Yato, the second I saw her....and why the hell are you in love with a HUMAN?" Ray asked, arms crossed.

''Simply put: Despite their families' enmity, Romeo and Juliet fell in love.''

"And they died in the end," Ray said sarcastically.

''It was impolite of me to leave her there; therefore, I need to get back with her,'' Yato said.

''Okay, you can leave for now, but please be cautious.''

''Wait...''

''What?''

A loud, "I left her with ITO!" came from his mouth.

''A fear that this sh*t-head could eat her or what." After Ray's words, Yato could only look in shock.

''Joking.'' That didn't bother Ray; he just laughed it off.

''Let's just go ahead and double-check.'' What Ray proposed.

''Right.''
