QUESTIONS

THIRD POV.

"You look just like her", he said.

"What !", I ask confused, who did I look like when I barely even looked like my mother. She always said that I looked like my grandmother but I had never seen her since she died before I was born.

"You look just like your mother", he says and now I get even more confused.

"Do you know my mother ?", I ask him.

"Yeah Cordelia was a dear friend of mine, it broke my heart when I heard that she passed away", he says.

___________

She had never been more confused in her life than she was at that moment. Who was Cordelia? She had never heard that name before and had no idea who he was talking about.

She did not even look like her mother to start with. He had confused her with someone else because there was no way he knew her mother.

"No, I think you are confusing me with someone else. My mum, I'd not called Cordelia and she most certainly is not dead", said Keira.

Enzo's father looked her over and chuckled. He knew who she was and there was no way he was wrong. She looked so much like her that it wasn't a coincidence.

You just don't walk out there and find someone who looks exactly like a dead person if it isn't their kid. She had auburn hair that made her eyes stand out.

It was like she had gotten all her mother's features except her nose which looked exactly like Mikail's. From the perplexed look on her face, he could tell that she was not lying.

Her mother was alive and to her, he looked like he was bluffing but he was not. He was right though. Her mother was dead and no one would convince him otherwise because he was there when she died.

Her whole life had been a lie and no one had even bothered to tell her the truth. He could also tell that the girl did not even know who she was. Did she know how many people had been looking for her? The clan had just gotten tired of looking for her and assumed that she had died.

They had done a pretty good job of keeping the truth from her but if he was right it was about time that she knew the truth of who she was.

It was time for her to transition into her full form and they had done a pretty terrible job in raising her if they had not thought for a second that it was something that she was supposed to be told.

"No am not confusing you with anyone else, I knew her since her childhood and I was there the day that she died giving birth to you so no am right", he said as he went on to serve himself food.

How was someone supposed to take in news like that? There she was sitting in this man's house eating his food who knew her mother and was there when she died giving birth to her.

How was that possible when her mother was somewhere in the world with his dad alive and kicking?

Her mind could not settle and no matter how much she tried not to think of it she just kept thinking.

The mind was like a hungry kid that wanted to be fed all the time. The only thing that was lingering in her mind was that no matter how much she pushed it away it still resurfaced and it would not go away until she found an answer to the obvious question. Who was lying to her?

There were only two possible answer's to this question and she had to figure out which one was more believable than the other.

One, what he was saying was true. She had not seen this man before nor had she ever had her parents mention him. She knew all of her parent's friends or business associates. As she thought about it She had never seen any pictures of herself when she was a toddler.

A lot of people had pictures of themselves and their babies when they gave birth but she had never seen any of those pictures. She had no cousins or even relatives. All she had were her father's parents who treated her like she was a plague that they wanted to get rid of.

She always grew up believing that she looked just like her grandmother but she had only seen her picture once.

When she was still a girl and they looked pretty much alike. She had never asked any questions because she had never really thought about it.

She had always wondered why her parents treated her like she was not their kid and now that she thought about it it all made sense.

Her whole life had been a lie and she did not even know what was true or wrong. What if they were hiding other secrets from her?

Two, they were just her parents and he was comparing her to someone that he knew before but then again when she thought of the look she had seen on his face when he looked up and saw her that would not be the case.

He was looking at her like he was trying to figure out something. Like she was a puzzle and a smile lit up on his face when he solved it. There was no way he would mistake her for someone else.

Then if her mother was dead who was the person that she called mother? All her entire life she was the only person she had none to be her mother. She did not remember most of her childhood but she was sure all her life was there.

Was she adopted? If then she was why would they keep such a thing from her? She was torn into pieces and had no idea of what to think. All of a sudden all of the things she knew flew out the window and she felt like a stranger even to herself.

"You look like you are shocked which I take to be the fact that you did not know anything about this. When do you turn twenty-one?", he asked and she stopped chewing her food.

It was getting creepier every second that went by but then as they always said curiosity always killed the cat and she wanted to know more so she did not care what questions he wanted answers to she was just going to answer them.

"In less than a month, why do you ask?", she asks as she sits upright and waits for him to say something else she did not know.

"Has Robin told you anything about it?", he asks her and she is even more confused. A few minutes ago he was telling her that her mother had died and he was mentioning her name.

"No why is there an arranged marriage that they also forgot to tell me?", she asks sarcastically.

"No it's nothing like that", he says chuckling.

"Then what is it about it since you were so curious?", she asks and he looks up annoyed at her.

" Your food is getting cold eat up ", he says as he shifts the conversation and she is left with nothing but many more questions that she did not have answers to let alone a clue.
