MIKAIL 11

"Am sorry we haven't been introduced, am Mikail your father", he said smiling.

__________,

Happiness was a dangerous game.

I never trusted when things seemed to be so good. Something always came up and ruined everything.

She could not process what she had heard. That man could not be her father. She looked around the table to see if anyone was shocked as her but then she realized that she was the only person who had been kept in the dark.

The room started to get stuffy and she could not breathe. They looked over in his direction and looked at him but she could not see any resemblance.

This had to be a big joke. She had spent the when day trying to convince herself that her late were her real parents and then this had to happen. Why did life just decide to throw things at her? She was not God's strongest soldier all of these things were too much for her to handle.

As Mikail stared at her daughter he wondered what had her distraught the way that she was. Had he said anything to upset her?

This was not the reaction that he had expected from her. He had not seen her for over twenty-one years and she did not even think to say hey dad it had been a while.

He thought that she knew about him. He thought that they had told her about her lineage. The only reason that had made him accept her being raised by humans was so that she could have the best of both worlds. He had thought that he was doing the right thing. That was what Cordelia would have wanted.

He did not know that she had been kept in the dark for all these years. She did not know anything about her father or her mother.

They had hoped that she would not have to turn into a werewolf and would go to the grave with that secret. To them, she was a monster. They knew that she would never find out the truth about her family because they had made it clear that Mikail was not to see her until she had reached her twentieth birthday.

He had waited. Counted the moons and seasons hoping that one day she would show up but she never did. He had thought that she had abandoned her origin. Maybe he had done a mistake for let her go live with humans. She should have just stayed with people of her kind.

" Is everything okay dear, you don't seem so happy to see me", said Mikail.

She could not hear what they were saying. All she could see where the movements of their mouths but she could not form the words.

She felt like time had come to a stop and she was stuck in one of her nightmares.

She had thought about this as many times as she could remember. She had thought of the possibility of her having another family. It was not that serious when. you were just thinking about it but finding out it was true was just bat shit crazy.

She has thought that she would be happy to see his father if he truly existed. As she looked at him she did not k me how to feel. It was a mixture of emotions that she could not comprehend which was stronger than the other.

Anger, happiness, betrayal; she felt all of them.

She has a lot of questions that we're bothering her that she wanted to ask him.

Why had he waited until now to just come? The void in her heart had now grown bigger as secrets just continued coming out. Had they not wanted her? If they had wanted her why did he not keep her even after her mother's death?

It dawned on her that no one ever really liked or loved her. All they did was just toss her around hoping someone would want her but no one did. She was just trash.

"Hey, you okay?", asked Enzo as he touched her arm and pulled her out of her stance.

" No am not, am trying to figure out all this. I did not know that my mother was dead until yesterday and now today a man who claims to be my father is sitting across me", she said sarcastically.

Mikail loomed at her and back to Mateo, Enzo's father. He could nig have heard her right. What did she mean that she had just found out her mother died and she did not even know that he was her father.

"What do you mean that you did not know any of this an not following", he said looking at her confused.

" What a saying that you guys will give me a heart attack with all these new things popping up. Up until yesterday, I knew my parents were Robin and Julio but today it turns out that my mother is dead so please would you like to add something else that I don't know of to wrap this up?"

, she said.

"This is outrageous. They had one job to look after you and tell you everything about your family once you were older. I always knew that this was a bad idea", said her father.

She looked at him and scoffed. He dared to make it look like they were the bad guys in all of this. In most scenarios, there was always one right person and the other was wrong. In this no one was right.

" So you are going to sit here and blame people who put a roof over my head and clothes on my back for something you could not do yourself? It was your job to raise me and not them. How could I know you existed when I already had another father?", she said and left.

He knew he had messed up. She was his blood and he was the one who was supposed to take care of her. He was supposed to teach her of her kind so that she would not freak out when someone mentioned them.

It was what Cordelia had asked for before she died though. How could he deny her last wish? They wanted her to civilize with normal people and know what life had to offer. She did not want her locked away not knowing her full potential. He had done what he thought was right but he had still messed up. There was no shortcut in parenthood and he did what was best for her. He was just doing what he thought was right.

She was infuriated as she rushed out of the house. She just wanted to go somewhere quiet and stay there. Everything was becoming a little bit too much for her to bear. She had women up with a smile on her face thinking that this was going to be the best day but all it came with was mysteries and secrets.

She thought that that was the last of them but that was just the beginning. They were all about to hit her like a massive wave of a tsunami. She had to be strong to hold her balance or else she would be lost.
