MIKAIL 111

No one ever walked out on him. He was the alpha and everybody respected him.

Mateo understood why Keira had acted the way she had acted. It was not every day that comes to you and tells you that they are your father when you know someone else to be your dad.

She wanted it all to be a lie so much but she knew they were not lying. She had thought that it was a joke all along. She made her way into the garden and exited using the gate that she had seen through the window of her room.

She needed to think and this was the only place that she could go. What she did not know was that this was the hunting grounds.

He had thought that he had done something good but maybe it was not the best decision he had made. Her daughter did not even recognize him. They only had one job but had still failed at it.

He had seen the way they looked at her the first day. It was like they thought that she could just change forms into a werewolf. They were scared of her but did not want to show it. He had assumed that it was just the shock of her sister's death.

He has never seen her daughter in all this year and he was the only one to blame for that. He has heard that there was a werewolf that was trespassing. They were not allowed to go to grounds that were not their own and had wondered what on earth had brought the werewolf to their land.

Most of the werewolves that ended up in other people's lands were the ones that had gone rogue. You could tell when there was another werewolf in your midst and their community had been infuriated. It always meant war most of the time but he did not want to see blood when he could easily resolve the issue.

Imagine the shock he received when he found out that it was his daughter. He had counted the moons and the time for her to be into her full form was soon to reach.

That even troubled him more. If she did not know about him the chances that she knew she was a werewolf were next to zero. He had to tell her because there was no other way. It was something she was supposed to know about.

"So she does not even know that she is a werewolf I suppose", Mikail said as he glanced at Mateo.

" Yeah she does not know anything", he said.

"What have I done, I should have never let them take her", said Mikail.

" I told you not to but you were too stubborn now look where it got you, guess you have to be a father to her after all", said Mateo sarcastically.

"It's a little too early to question my fatherly duties don't you think?", asked Mikail and they all went silent.

She could hear the leaves rustling behind her but she was in a world that she did not even care about. She had found a clearing and had decided to sit there. As she watched the landscape she wondered why her life was being turned upside down like this.

She always wanted a change but this was not the change she wanted. It was all too much for her. She just wanted her normal boring life, not a life that was a web of secrets. What else were they hiding from her?

He heard the leaves rustling and he wondered who had come there during his feeding time. He was starving. The only reason he loved this place was that they could hunt freely. He saw a deer from the corner of his eyes and he knew it was going to be a feast.

The deer running caught her attention. She had thought that this was just a forest with a lot of trees and no actual animals. She looked around to see where it had gone but it had like simply disappeared into the wind.

In one swift motion, the dear was in his clutches. His big paws made noises when he walked and he hoped that Keira could not see her from where she was seated. She looked distraught.

The shrill cry startled her and wondered what it was. She convinced herself that maybe it was just something that she was imagining just like the dear she thought she saw.

Satisfied with his meal he changed back into his human form. He remembered the first day that he had transitioned and how it had hurt. He had laid in bed for the following day to recover. It had gotten easier as the years went by but it was still painful.

He glanced around for his clothes and finally spotted them He knew he related if blood and his mouth were covered in blood. He made his way down to the stream to clean himself up, he did not want to scare away the princess now did he?

The wind had gotten stronger and the trees swayed from side to side. She wondered why she had not taken a hoodie with her and then remembered she left the house infuriated. She hugged herself to give her body warmth but that was still not enough.

" Is this going to help?", Aries said behind her startling her.

"Yeah it would be of help to me given that am freezing, but what about you though?", she asked him.

" Don't worry about me I was on a run do my body had enough warmth for now ", he said as he handed her the hoodie and sat beside her.

" Are you stalking me or did they send you here to see how I was doing", she asked as she turned her focus to him.

"None of the above am wondering what you are doing here I thought I was alone and who do you mean by they", he asked her. He studied her and he wondered what it was that was troubling her this time around. She looked like she always had issues. But he could guess what it was this time around.

He had seen her father arrive early in the morning and did not know what he had come to do at their home. Was it time for them to be mated? He had thought that they still had time.

Did she despise him that much? He thought that he would make a good husband but the look on her face suggested otherwise. He could understand if she did not want to get married but they had a responsibility that they had to fulfill. He would figure out something that would be an advantage to both of them.

" You wanna talk about it?", he asked her.

She looked at him and scoffed. There was no way she was going to pour her heart out to a guy she was in the woods.

"To you hell no ", she said.

She had hurt his feelings. What was so bad than talking about your marriage with the guy you were supposed to marry.

" What is so bad about being your mate, if it's any consolation I don't want this ", he said.

" What the fuck are you talking about? ", she asked.
