Chapter 62 - System Upgrade!
"I didn't expect that those people in the church would expel such a pure child!"
Rias sighed as she watched the disappearing backs of Asia and Akeno.
However, Rias understood the church's intentions.
The church comes under the Angel Faction, who believed in their father — The Biblical god and Devils are considered their enemies.
Since devils were considered enemies by their Lord then, Asia's power to heal devils was seen as heresy rather than a blessing.
"It's ironic that the ability to heal devils appeared in the body of a nun."
Rias shook her head, lost in thought.
Mahiro, seeing Rias's expression, knew what she was thinking.
"Are you considering inviting Asia?"
Rias nodded with an elegant smile on her face.
"Since the church was blind enough to banish Asia,"
"I'm delighted to welcome her here."
Mahiro let out a slight laugh.
Although Asia is kind and doesn't have many biases against devils.
It's still doubtful that she'll agree to be reincarnated as a Devil.
Asia seems timid, but she is steadfast in certain matters.
In the original story, she agreed to be reincarnated, mainly due to the desperate circumstances created by Raynare.
"As long as you can convince Asia, I don't mind, but I won't help you."
Mahiro replied.
In fact, from the underworld's perspective, many Devil clans view their peerage as mere servants, while the Gremory clan treats them like family.
Therefore, Asia would not be wronged under her care.
"Don't worry, I'll be able to make Asia willing to be my servant."
Rias said confidently and gave Mahiro a provocative glance.
Mahiro shrugged.
If Rias thought she could do it, he wouldn't interfere.
After about ten minutes, Akeno returned with Asia, who had changed from her nun uniform and was now wearing the Kuoh Academy school uniform.
"You look great."

In the school uniform, Asia looked youthful and charming.
This attire suited her age much better than the old-fashioned nun's dress.

Asia blushed while fidgeting her hands.
'Well, she does look nervous.'
"Koneko, please look after Asia."
"Don't worry, President. If anyone dares to bully Asia, I'll make sure they regret it!"
Koneko said firmly.
Mahiro returned to his classroom alone, while Koneko took Asia to the teacher's office to handle the transfer procedures.
Soon, the bell rang for the afternoon class.
Sitting at his desk, Mahiro stared at the window bored.
Just after class, he heard the boys having a heated discussion.
"I heard a transfer student came next class."
"She's super cute!"
"Yeah, she's probably a cute blonde girl, a foreigner."
"The next class is so lucky."
"They already have the mascot, Koneko, and now they have another beautiful girl."
The boys were discussing excitedly, eager to transfer to the next class.
Mahiro listened for a while and guessed they were talking about Asia.
It was no surprise to him that Asia's appearance would attract attention.
Mahiro didn't care about the boys discussing Asia as long as they didn't do anything disrespectful.
He laid down on the desk to rest, uninterested in the gossip.
"Mahiro-kun, you are special," his classmate, Ruruko Nimura, a servant of Sona Sitri, looked at him with admiration.
"What's wrong?" Mahiro looked puzzled.
"The boys in the class are excited about the new transfer student, yet you don't seem interested."
Ruruko approached and whispered.
"I went to the toilet just now and took a peek."
"She's super cute."
"How does she compare to you?" Mahiro asked with a smile.
Being stared at by Mahiro, Ruruko blushed.
"How can I compare to her?"
"Really? You're cute, too, though."
Mahiro said lightly, making his classmate blush even more.
"Actually, I know the beautiful transfer student."
"She lives in my house. I can see her every day."
Mahiro smirked and decided to enlighten his classmate.
Ruruko looked at Mahiro dumbfounded and then burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?" asked Mahiro.
"Mahiro-kun, you're too humorous."
"No wonder you're so popular with girls."
Ruruko said while patting Mahiro's shoulder, thinking he was just joking.
"So, You don't believe it."
Mahiro sighed.
Ruruko continued laughing, making Mahiro even more speechless.
It was rare to meet a girl who could laugh because of some words.
Just as Mahiro was about to tease his classmate further, a system prompt sounded in his mind.
[System Upgrade: The host has completed all beginner quests. The system will be upgraded, and a new function called Dimensional World will be unlocked.]
[During the upgrade, some system functions, including quest generation and the card mall, will be suspended.]
[After the upgrade, all functions will be restored.]
[Upgrade duration: 12 hours]
"A new function, Dimensional World?" Mahiro was startled.
[In the Dimensional World, the host can earn many points.]
The system explained briefly.
After being interrupted by the system, Mahiro lost interest in teasing his classmate and silently passed the time, waiting for the system to upgrade.
"Mahiro-kun."
As soon as the school bell rang, Asia appeared at the classroom door, followed by Koneko.
"Well, let's go home early today,"
Mahiro nodded, stood up from his seat, and walked towards Asia and Koneko under the shocked gaze of his classmate.
Ruruko looked at Mahiro's back in disbelief and murmured.
"You know her?"
