Spilling smoothie

It was a fluorescent and frenzied morning the subsequent day.

I was heading outside the library in Maxwell's university carrying a few books. The sling of my red handbag was resting on my shoulder. I was wearing a pair of black leather pants, a pink blouse and black blazers.

There was humming in the air, there was quite much people walking by, but I did not notice as I was in deep thought. I was staring down as I strode and my eyebrows were furrowed. Uh! I could still feel my throat itching me and my nose prickling me.

I felt like singing but knowing that my throat was still itching, I felt quite disappointed and more furious that I was that way because of that stupid jerk Dylan or whatever his name is.

"Achoo!" I sneezed into my elbow.

Dylan, he was approaching the library. I'm sure you must be guessing why Dylan is in Maxwell's university. He's a 200 level student in the university and he's in the theatre department.

Dylan was walking hastily, and I was walking unhurriedly. A gorgeous blonde lady was standing quite close to the wall holding a chilled smoothie laughing besides Mandy and Mckayla.

I got nearer to them without noticing that Mandy and Mckayla were also standing there. Dylan jabbed me with his elbow and walked past me, I almost tripped and my books abruptly slipped off my hands landing on the floor. I was not standing steadily, I clenched the gorgeous lady's gown for support and her smoothie slightly splashed on her dress.

I stood firmly and I noticed drops of the smoothie hanging on her dress, I felt quite bad and immediately apologized.

She wore a tight glare, "OMG, what just happened?"

"Girl I think your drink has just drooled on you." Said Mandy.

Mckayla glanced at the drops of smoothie rolling and streaking on her and she wore a disgusted look, "girl, I think it's ruined your dress."

I felt quite embarrassed and slightly bowed my head.

"This is your fault!" the lady shouted.

"Yea she's so clumsy like a cat." Mandy added.

I was starting to feel jumpy, I politely said, "guys, what just happened is not my fault, I was pushed, I did not do it intentional....."

Before I could finish speaking, the lady interrupted me, "oh perhaps, I am not doing this intentionally."

She hoisted the cup of smoothie bowing it to my head and it was slowly pouring down in cascades I was feeling my hair getting doused. I could feel the coolness of the smoothie on my head.

Mandy and Mckayla erupted into a serious outburst of laughter and I could hear their laughter banging my ears. The laughter creaked so awful and fake, tears began to build in my eyes.

"Now that was unintentional." Said the blonde lady and she dropped the empty smoothie on my head, "ladies, let's bounce."

Mckayla chortled as they walked past me.

The tears in my eyes dribbled in streams on my cheeks and I tried to dab it off. I peeked around me and I observed many eyes staring at me like they were glued to a TV. The impressions they had on their face made me feel very irritated I was feeling a lump in my throat. The streams of the smoothie was dropping on my face and I couldn't fight back the tears, I scurried to the washroom. As I was scurrying, I heard a noisy laughter and I felt that they were feeling amused by me.

They could! I said to myself, anyway I looked really horrible.

I ran inside the washroom soon as I opened the door and I started to the sink. The room smelled really nice and conducive. A large mirror each was positioned on the wall in front of four sparkling dapper sinks.

I approached a sink, I held the tap and twisted it and water was gushing out. I slightly bowed my head to rinse my hair and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.

"Ew!" I groaned feeling quite irritated, "I look like poop."

I kneeled my head and I spotted a glittering diamond necklace hanging on the arm of my blazers. I picked up the necklace and stared at it feeling quite confused.

Dylan arrived at the theatre room. There was over a hundred seaters in the room. The director, Donald uttered a sigh of relief soon as he spotted Dylan.

Dylan approached him at the lofty stage . The stage was well decked up. Donald was clenching a script book. He's quite tubby.

He turned to Dylan, "it's a good thing that you are here now. We should start shooting the video."

Donald shouted, "be at your places people, everyone be at your places."

The camera men were setting up their cameras.

Dylan slid his hand into the pocket of his jacket and he was shocked that he could not find the diamond necklace and he tapped his jacket and his trousers.

Donald noticed that he was acting restless.

"What's wrong Dylan?" He raised his eyebrows.

"I can't find the necklace, I think I have lost it."

Donald panicked, "what! What do you mean you have lost it?"

"I...i don't know what happened. When I was on my way here....."

Dylan was staring blankly as images of him shoving me and he walking past me, flashed through his mind.

He jolted out of his reverie, "gosh! I think it got attached to a lady's dress accidentally."

"So do you recall her face? Do you know her name?"

Dylan shook his head, "no DR Donald. I was in a hurry I could not get a glimpse of her. I don't think I know her. No I don't."

"Then what are we gonna do? It is important we get back that jewelry not just because it costs an arm and a leg, we have to use it for this very important scene in the script." Donald's tone was furious.

"Try to calm down. I can buy the same kind of jewelry today. I'll just ask my dad for ten thousand dollars."

Donald sighed, "how could I forget that you're the son of the Mayor of this town? Make sure you get the necklace."

"Of course." Dylan nodded.

After fifty five minutes of being in the washroom, I stepped outside. My hair looked so drab and it was dripping wet.

I was thinking about my books which I slipped to the floor and I stared at the spot they dropped. I heaved a sigh of relief to still find them lying there.

I approached the spot and I squatted to pick up the books. Glancing at the books, I discovered that few of the pages were quite rumpled like they were repeatedly stepped on. Flipping through the books, I noticed shoe smudges lying on them.

I shook my head and I moaned. I stretched my hands towards the books to arrange them together when suddenly, I felt a very soft touch. I glanced at the hand holding my hand and I slowly lifted my head to see who it was.

My lips curved immediately as I realized that it was Jake. He grinned back at me, he picked up each of my book and we slowly stood up.

Jake handed over my books to me, "here."

I could not hold back myself, I threw myself in his arms letting my books slip off my hands to the floor.

"I missed you so much it hurts."

Jake furrowed his eyebrows feeling confused and slowly shifted me from his arms. He touched my chin and looked into my eyes, "what's wrong cookie?"

A tear rolled out of my eye and I tried to restrain myself from crying, "nothing I just missed you. It's just we could not see each other yesterday and today....." I paused weakly bowing my head.

"What happened cookie?" Jake touched my cheek and he slightly touched my hair noticing that it was wet, "hang on, what happened to your hair?"

"Oh you notice. I hope that you aren't feeling embarrassed. Do I look that horrible?" I nervously rubbed my fingers, "when I looked at everyone who laughed at me, I felt like I was an ugly creature my sweet. I hope you aren't mad that I look awful." I sniffed and I tried to fight back the tears but I failed miserably.

Jake rolled his eyes and thought to himself, "Jese she's so boring. What do I do? What do I do?"

Jake stretched his hands to my cheeks gently dabbing them with his thumbs, "no cookie. You don't look so bad. You are lovely darling."

My cheeks dissolved into a big smile and I pulled him into a hug, "thanks my sweet. Don't you ever leave my life because if you do, it'll be the death of me. I cherish you my sweet."

Jake tightly furrowed his eyebrows, "and I cherish you my cookie." He rolled his eyes and silently moaned.

Mandy and Mckayla have been standing at a corner folding their arms holding a smoothie watching me and Jake.

Mckayla rolled her eyes in disdain, "ew, such boring pet names. My sweet, my cookie, " she scoffed, "if they were acting a movie, they will receive the best award for the worst acting couple."

"How dare Jake mock me by dating that stupid Trina! He's soon gonna pay for choosing her over me." Mandy furrowed her brows firmly.

"And I know how to ruin Jake's party. His girlfriend is gonna be the one to ruin his birthday party." Mckayla smirked and they let out a chuckle.
