Joshua's Uncle

"whom were you with?" Joshua questioned.

"Joshua... don't you trust me?" He asked, avoiding Joshua's question on purpose.

"I'm not saying I don't trust you but you're my responsibility Freddy and I need to know where you are coming from and with whom?" He explained.

"Fine if you insist I'll tell you."

"I was with Jayden." He replied.

"Stop it now and cut the crap, why are you lying?" Joshua asked.

"Joshua calm down, he might be saying the truth." Sebastian butted in.

"No! He's lying." Joshua stated as Freddy broke out in a cold sweat.

"No I'm not." Freddy continued arguing.

"Well then, I'll call Jayden." He stated, as he smirked at his cousin.

"So you don't trust me?" Freddy asked, saddened by his reaction.

"Jake pass me my phone." Joshua commented, purposely avoiding Freddy's question.

Jake handed the phone to Joshua as he accepted it and dialed Jayden's number as everyone in the room became silent as only the sound of the phone ringing was heard.

RING! RING!

"Hello!" A cold voice spoke from the other end.

"Jayden...I'm sorry for calling this late but did you meet with Freddy today?" Joshua asked, without beating around the bush.

Immediately Joshua said those words, Freddy resumed his sweat party as he became nervous, he prayed and prayed silently in his mind for a miracle but when it comes to Jayden...he lost all hope, he couldn't rely on Jayden. Why did I even say his name in the first place? He muttered under his breath.

"Freddy huh?" Jayden voice resumed.

"Yeah Freddy my-"

"Yes I met with him at the cafeteria." Jayden replied firmly before Joshua could continue speaking.

"Is he back already?" He asked.

"Yeah, thanks goodnight." Joshua said as the call ended.

"I'm sorry." Joshua replied as he put down his phone.

"Why Joshua? Don't you trust me?" He questioned, as Joshua stated at him I'm guilt.

"I didn't mean to...you've become suspicious lately so I...I'm really sorry it won't happen again." He promised.

"Fine, I'll forgive you this time." He sighed.

"Come give you're bro a hug." Joshua gestured to him as he came forward and Joshua wrapped his arms around him.

The next day, Ariana and Joshua were taken to the principal office by Miss Ann. The door was pushed open and to Ariana's surprise a man was sitting on one of the chairs in front of the principal. He was dressed in a dark green suit with a black tie around his neck and he was wearing a pair of glasses. He was just so handsome that Ariana couldn't take his eyes off him.

"Ariana!" Joshua called softly as she snapped back to reality and suddenly frowned at him.

"Stop glaring at him!" He said in a quiet voice as Ariana just rolled her eyes at him.

"Mr Mason right?" The principal spoke.

"Yes, I'm Joshua's Uncle and Ariana's family friend...her father is a close friend of mine." He replied as the principal slowly nodded.

"What? He's Joshua's Uncle?" Ariana screamed in her head.
