Never easy

"Devil's Tongue, really?", she said to him.

"What? It's a good name for the spear but its properties are way better than this."

"Whatever. You already received the skill to come here, didn't you?"

"Yes. Why?", he looked confused.

"It's better for you train without me as they wouldn't put us two together."

"But I like to spend time here with you and we need to restart the contest again."

"Not today. I'll be leaving so be more cautious now.", Danielle said and kissed him on the cheek. "Don't do anything stupid. Bye.", a purple portal sucked her out of there.

"Lets test this spear then.", he said but then realized. "I need a sword to train too."

He started to hunt the monsters again till that happened again.

As he read the mission a scream and a laugh could be heard nearby. The demon was attacking a group of dryads. Leonard didn't have another choice to jump into the fight.

"Ripristinare.", his new spear went flying toward the demon but he was fast and deflected the attack. "Lancia di Fuoco.", he started to fire multiple spell against it.

"Why are you doing this?", the demon said.

"You're attacking them.", Leo didn't stop attacking and made his crystal claws.

"You're wrong. They are the attackers. LISTEN TO ME.", the demon wasn't counter attacking and this started to bother the boy. "That spear. Where did you find it?"

"From one of you.", he realized that this demon was far beyond the powers from the previous.

"You are special I see.", the demon spear started to ignite and flames formed a armor around him. "Can you listen before we kill each other?"

"I...", Leonard felt discomfort on this battle. "Go on."

"I was here looking for the Mad Witch and this dryads started to attack me."

"Why are you looking for her?"

"Why?", he said like it was normal his search. "To put the spell back on, of course.", Leonard dropped all his beliefs and looked at the dryads merging in the trees.

"How much time are they delaying you?"

"About five hours.", he released the flame armor. "You know her."

"I need things to do. I'll be back.", the boy started to move to one of the trees. "Ripristinare.", the spear returned to his hand. "Blazing Heart.", the same fire armor appeared on him and with a touch on the tree it started to ignite. "I'll kill you if you don't leave."

"You don't need to go that far.", the demon said.

"I know.", Leo said. "But you are not my target. They are.", the dryad started to leave and he fastly cut its throat. "And that this serves you as a warning to not meddle against the Mad Witch."

<Detect Lie was added.>

"So about the spell.", the boy stored his weapon. "It's impossible."

"What are you talking about?", the demon said.

"It was a pact with a Greater Entity but now is broken and I'm here to do the old way with her."

"The demons are preparing to do a large scale attack on the human kingdom. It'll be impossible to stop it."

"How many time do we have?", maybe Leo could revert this.

"Two day at most."

"And at least?"

"Five hours."

"Leave it to me.", and a golden portal sucked him out of there. "How can I do that?"

"Do what?", he was on Danielle's room.

"So.", he explained the situation.

"What are we going to do?", she said.

"Level up. I have three full months to do anything but I need enter Azuria to do so."

"Azuria is the other world but your teacher didn't let you go without her."

"Yes."

"And today is a wednesday so she can't pass four full days there with you.", she said.

"I know but maybe with other hero she would feel less pressured. I need that you go pick me on the school tomorrow.", he said.

"Are you taking me to Azuria?"

"That's right.", he changed his clothes. "I'll be going now.", he kissed her on the cheek. "Don't forget to go there tomorrow. I'll introduce you to my parents as well."

"What?"

"Bye.", he left by the window. "How can we stop a mass destruction?", then he remembered his crystalization against Helen. "We don't even need to level up.", he smiled.

Getting home he took a shower and then called Danielle explaining the plan to her. She doubted that that could be done. So he started to study while talking to her and explaining all the process behind the concept. She agreed to do it but she still wanted to meet his parents and go to Azuria as well. He agreed as was he who proposed that things.

The day passed and she was on his door.

"Come on.", he said and opened the door. "I'm home."

"Goo...", his mother stopped mid setence when saw that beautiful girl behind her son. "Who is she?"

"Mom, this is Danielle and we are dating.", he introduced her.

"Bu...", she couldn't form setences.

"I'm glad to meet you.", Danielle said and smiled like an angel.

"What are all this commo...", his father went there and had the same reaction as his wife.

"Nice to meet you, sir.", she greeted him as well.

"We'll be on my room for while and already came for dinner.", Leo said and went up holding his laugh.

"Excuse me.", she was very polite toward his parents. On the room she began the conversation. "Why are they like that?"

"Look at the mirror and you'll get it.", he was taking his uniform off.

"So what I'm beautiful?"

"They thought that I was incapable of getting anything better than Caroline.", he said and put a sweat pant. "So you are a surprise to them.", he smiled.

"Better than Caroline?", she instigued him.

"Taking out your personality, perharps.", he said smiling at her.

"Don't be so mean.", she slapped his shoulder and returned to normal. "Are you sure that the wall will negate any large scale spell?"

"Anything can be stopped by it but I need help when building and we need practice doing it too.", he looked at the clock. "We have a hour to spare. So lets go.", he opened a portal to Azuria. "Azuria awaits another hero.", he smiled at her.
