'Did I just jumped into some kind of fictional novel? ' He thought while trying recall in his mind what is a fictional novel.

he had been lying on the floor for more than an hour and surprisingly, he didn't starve. He thought about what the system said

The guy continued to stare at the Broken and old ceiling. He seemed to remember very little about his life in his original world but it was like a puzzle with so many missing pieces. His heart seemed to long for something that he can't remember yet all he could do was hang onto the familiar feeling that tickles his lonely heart.

"How cruel, why can't I remember it?" He didn't know what he was trying to remember at all he just know that he want to remember something

"System, are you there?"

what? I have an inventory? He immediately jolted up and instinctively searched his body and as expected, he found some kind of bag inside his black robe. The bag isn't a normal bag that you could find in a normal world, it may look like a small bag but in reality, in can store certain amount of things in a certain size.

The guy opened the bag and saw a thick book inside

"A book?" the system heard him and replied with its robotic voice

[ This is the manual script and guides for the host in the future. Also, about the host's memory, it was purposely erased by the system and placed at a certain level so the more the host level up, the more memory he will collect. Good luck! ]

The guy felt wronged for some reason yet, his curiosity engulfed him so he didn't hesitate to open the book. As he flipped through the pages, notifications started popping up accompanied by the system's robotic voice

In a flash, the unknown guy regained a bit of his memory.

His name is Shen Yao, 17 years old. Renting a small hideous house near his old school for a cost of five times bigger than his usual salary plus the tip. having too many debts, he could only eat a piece of bread for lunch, breakfast, and dinner which wasn't even the worse.

Having regained some of his memory, Shen yao realized that he and the original owner of his current body has some things in similar

for example, this guy's physical state and status is poor he also found out that he had the same name as him

After pondering for a while, Shen yao decided to study the past of this world's Shen yao that was written in the book. Although the book looked ordinary, it actually contained some knowledge that civilians didn't know because technically, they aren't him . For example, This world's Shen yao has a past that only him knows like when he was only 8 years old when he was abandoned and was on the verge of dying, luckily, someone found him and took him in. Soon, they became good friends

But it didn't last long because Shen yao suddenly lost his only friend 3 years later resulting to him being abandoned in this house they used to stay together. He thought 'This Shen yao really doesn't know how to take care of himself' but upon reading further, he felt something was off

"Hmm.. something is not right" Shen yao mumbled to himself. "How could this Shen Yao's friend leave him in his own house? does he have another place to stay? The system, Where did you even get this information why did it seemed to have missing pieces?"

System [ the things that are written in the book, aside from the already existing information about the world, are the old Shen Yao's fragmented memory from his remaining soul that he might have forgotten ]

Shen Yao felt like his head was about to crack from thinking too much

"How could I receive another puzzling problem instead of answers?" He sighed and closed the book

"That's it, I quit! I just wanted to survive and yet you're giving me a suicide mission. Now. I even have to collect someone else's memory while collecting mine!"

The sun had set, the sky turned dark and the houses lit up an orange light that can be seen through their windows. Most of the families are having their dinner with their tender and delicious pork, chicken, and vegetables while some are still out there closing their shops after summing up the coins they earned for the day thinking if they should buy their children some treats and stuff.

Shen Yao used his arms used as a pillow while staring at the bright moon above him. He could almost smell the delicious scent of stewed chicken from afar, deliberately making his stomach rumble in starvation.

"System, When do I get my supplies?" He asks, his eyes almost teary as he did so

Shen yao's mouth gaped open

"what?" Shen yao exclaim as he sat straight

"What kind of nonsense is this?" He mumbled before knocking at the system again "Hey system. What task do I need to perform? Should I dance?sing?"
