At the Mall

Mýa and her friends quickly walked away after Mýa finished talking. She was doing her best to calm down because what happened with Nathan was really making her upset. Illa was hungry so they decided to go to the food court. They had just finished watching a movie when they ran into Nathan and his friends so they planned to eat and then go shop for an hour or two. Mýa didn't want their encounter with Nathan to ruin their fun day.

When they got to the food court, Mýa and Hailey wanted Pizza and Illa decided she wanted Chinese food. While Hailey got Pizza for Mýa and herself, Illa got Chinese food, and Mýa found a table for the group. Mýa had just sat down and placed the three friends bags down when someone tapped her on her shoulder. She looked up and saw Zeke standing next to her.

Mýa snapped, "What do you need?"

Zeke looked apologetic, "Can we talk?" He said.

Mýa calmed herself down a bit. She wasn't in the mood to talk to Zeke and her friends would still be a while. "Look," she said, "I'm sorry for being rude but I am really not in the mood to talk to you. Especially after what just happened."

"I know you don't really like me but can we please talk for just a minute?" Zeke asked.....

When Mýa didn't respond he quickly went on, "I know we got off to a bad start. When you heard what Nate was talking to mr about on the video call and when you saw me near Nathan and his friends. I really am not like that, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and didn't stop my friend from talking disrespectfully about you. I was hoping we could put those two things behind and start over. I really want us to be able to get along ----- Please?" He looked at Mýa sincerely and hopefully when he finished talking.

Mýa sighed, "I'm not going to say that we can become friends or that I will completely forget what has happened... but, I can tell you are being sincere. Let's start over for now, until you give me reason to not like you again. Hi my name is Mýa, I live back in the woods behind your new house and will be a 10th grader in high school."

Zeke smiled, "Hi, I am Zeke. I just moved her and will be in 11th grade. It's nice to meet you." He then continued, "I have to go home now, I will see you around."

As he left Mýa waved goodbye to him and looked up as her friends sat down with their food. She realized her friends had been watching Zeke and hers conversation.

"Who was that?" Hailey wanted to know.

"That was my new neighbor I was telling you guys about. He came over, apologized, and wants to start over." Mýa answered her.

"Cool, I'm glad he isn't a total douchebag " Illa said. Which made Mýa and Hailey laughed

Then Hailey gave Mýa her food and the three girls sat down and started enjoying their food while they talked and laughed with each other.

After about 40 minutes of eating the girls were done and they decided to continue their day at the mall. The girls first went into some clothing stores and tried to find some new outfits.

After about an hour and a half the girls had gone to three stores and each had a couple of outfits, but they had more funny stories from going in the stores than they had new clothes. They decided to wonder around for another hour or so and then they called Illa's mom to pick them up. Illa's mom brought them all back to their houses and the girls all said goodbye.

When Mýa got back she put away all of her things, changed into 'outside clothes' and started working on her outside to do list. She feed her chickens and gave them water, she watered her flower gardens and bird baths, and then she went up to work in her vegetable and fruit garden. She started by weeding all of the garden, she then picked ripe fruits and vegetables, and then watered the garden with nutrient water.

She was about to go back home when she noticed Riley running towards her. Riley barrelled into her and they both fell down. Mýa started laughing, "Hey Riley."

Riley smiled and stood up, she said, "Hi Mýa." while shyly looking at the ground.

Mýa realized that Riley was being shy after knocking her over so she initiated the conversation. They talked for a while before Zeke cane and told Riley to go back inside so she could help Ms. Elly. After Riley left there was an awkward silence between Zeke and Mýa.
