CHAPTER 4 THAT WOMAN SEEMS FAMILIAR
After Fynn and Quinn put their luggages and other belongings in the car, they drive their way into the manor in one of the overlooking part in Hemena. Along the way, Fynn saw a woman riding a bike on the road. His heart felt something to this woman which made him feel something but he knew that he never met this woman. As soon as their car reaches the womans location, he turned his head and look at the woman's face but he never saw it because the woman is looking down on the basket in front of her bike. Fynn shrugged the idea that plays on his mind about the woman she saw but he is intrigue of who she is. After several minutes, he saw that the woman went her way into the cliff which made Fynn so surprised because that is the cliff where the old owner lives and where the events of his dreams took place.
"Quinn, few years ago when Alodia died, you went here to attend her burial right?" Fynn asked Quinn because of his curiousity.
"Yes Fynn." Quinn shortly responded.
"So did you met her grandaughter then?" Fynn asked again and this time he stares again to where Lex is heading.
"Yes, i did met her. She is nice and stronger than people think she is. She is indeed a quite smart young lady. Why?" Quinn being curious asked Fynn.
"Ahm, nothing. I just thought that i want to meet her too. To say my condolences, you know." Fynn responded but he wasn't able to hide his stuttering voice.
"Is that really the case Fynn?" Quinn asked again while staring seriouly to the man sitting beside him. "She is quite a good catch Fynn. If you'll ask me, i think she is more fit to become your wife only if she is not yet married by now." Quinn added and smile in a teasing manner.
"What are you talking about Quinn? I don't have any plans of getting married. I am happy with what i have now. I have you as my father and those idiots as my brother. I also have Erin as my eldest sister so i have nothing to worry about. I have family." Fynn shared his side while waving his hands.
"Oh, is that so? I don't think that is a good idea master Fynn. As what i have remembered with what your father and mother wanted is that you have to get married and have a family of your own. I know that you are happy having us but you know, it is different if you have your own children. It is different if you have your wife with you whom you can talk about things." Quinn said as he turn the car into the Zu Manor's driveway. The manor is built in a resort style especially the guest rooms door are accessible directly to the pool and the front yard. The main house has two floors but it only has a 4 large rooms in it. The style of the manor is in a modern style that almost half of the walls is made up of glass. Each room has a balcony and Fynn's room is overlooking to the ocean and the city.
They unloaded their things from the car and brought it inside the house. The house is too big for them but it never felt as cold as his penthouse. Fynn did not expect this welcoming feeling in the manor. He feels at home in here that he wanted to stay here forever. The manor is the exact replica of the house they have in Kyoko but in here he felt warm unlike in there, he felt sad since his parents passed away. Quinn hired people to maintain the cleanliness of the manor once a week. They don't have any cook because Quinn knew that Fynn is not conlmfortable eating food that other people cooked unless it is them who those he considered family.
"Fynn, what do you want for dinner?" Quinn asked Fynn as he put the groceries they brought from Kyoko in the kitchen.
"Don't mind me Quinn. Just have dinner for yourself because i am going to have a conference with the board later."Fynn answered in a dismissing manner. Quinn was not happy hearing this because he wanted to let Fynn rest.
"Quinn, don't worry this won't take long. There are just some things that i wanted to attend to." Fynn explained his side when he noticed Quinn's facial expression changed.
"Alright, but i will bring you some sandwich in the study."Quinn replied and went directly into the kitchen.
Lex House...
"Mom, why won't you come over here with dad to spend your christmas break." Lex suggested to Sue over the phone when the latter called her. Sue and Dan are not really her parents. They knew her and became close to her because of their deseased son who happens to be Alexandria's bestfriend.
"We will try honey, it's just that your dad got so many things and events that needs to attend to. But don't worry he promised that after this term we are going to live with you in Hemena. Don't worry about us here." Sue said to Lex in a very charming voice. Lex wanted them to be together especially that Sue and Dan is getting old. Dan is a politician in Kyoko and Sue is a businesswoman.
"Alright, but promised me mom that when dad and you retired, you will stay with me so that we can visit Lei more often." Lex replied to Sue.
"Don't worry honey, take care of yourself huh. We love you and we miss you so much darling." Sue said lovingly which made Lex smiled upon hearing it. Lex treated Sue and Dan like her own parents especially when they lost their only son.
"See you soon mom. Goodbye." Lex said as she bid goodbye to Sue. After her bestfriend died, it was Sue and Dan who constantly cheering her up. At first she is hesitant because although she knew them and she's close to them but she never got to spend a lot of time with them. After that devastating event happened into their lives, they're slowly healed because of the support that they got from each other.
