The Goblin camp

The cart stopped in front of a giant ravine that stretched down further than the eye could see. Across from them was a giant blizzard that bellowed across the edge of the cliff. The group walked across a rickety old rope bridge with rotting planks that stretched over the gap. Once they entered the blizzard the wind whipped their faces blowing snow into their eyes everytime they tried to see. Eventually they found a ruined town that had crumbling houses and shops with smashed glass. There was a church that had been demolished by the spire that had fallen off the top. There they walked into the most intact house walking past the ruined civilisation and pushing apart the skeletons. Badurad lit a flame from some wood that they guessed used to be a table. There they huddled around the warm and comforting fire and all drifted off to sleep.

Badurad was the first to wake for two reasons. The first was Hiro's growling stomach and the second was that he had heard a howling in the distance.he walked out of the ruined house lighting the extinguished fire again. He walked outside to a more peaceful wilderness. The snow cushioned his feet as he walked into the sun. The air was deathly cold but he could see. What he saw was a pack of snow wolves huddled around the town staring at the light the fire was creating. Then as he walked out the frozen snow crunched under foot. This attracted the attention of one of the wolves who slowly walked towards him making no sound. The wolf's eyes narrowed as it approached Badurad who was clutching the handle of his still sheathed sword. As the wolf jumped at him, Badurad swung out his sword, skewering the wolf through its open mouth. His sword dropped to the ground leaving him defenceless against the rest of the pack. As two more jumped at him he opened his left hand and flames spiraled from it pushing the wolf back and igniting it's paw. The wolf whined and jumped back into the snow that put out the flames. The second was jumping through the air, too quick for badurad to cast another spell. At that moment another blade ran through the side of the wolf making its insides spill out onto the all to white floor. Hiro had saved Badurad and was now grinning and drooling slightly. The next wolf was struck in the head with an arrow and the one after that was cut up by koto. John threw three knives at the penultimate one killing it instantly and cleanly. The last one, also the biggest one, rushed at badurad who had gotten his sword free from the wolf. Then brought the flat side down on the wolf's nose and then brought his sword up to his neck angling it towards the wolf and thrust it through the wolf's body. John took out one of his swords and finished off the second wolf that was still rolling around in the snow. Then by Hiro's request they picked up all the dead wolves, skinned them and cooked them. Remy suggested using the skins on their cloaks to protect them from the cold. Now equipped with a full stomach and warmer clothing they all set out into the tundra.

With Remy leading them all they searched the surrounding area with great effort, toiling through the snow, struggling to breath through the freezing winds. Eventually after about three days of struggling through the harsh climate they found what seemed to be light from a fire or hearth. Koto, who had been complaining of boredom the entire time they had been there, excitedly rushed towards the encampment. As he rushed past the tents a green, small man walked out from a tent. Badurad, Hiro and Remy all looked at each other with unease and worry. Remy knocked an arrow piercing the goblin's head. Badurad and Hiro rushed forward pushing Koto back, killing two more who had walked out. A third was with them and let out a shrill shriek alerting about a hundred of them to their presence. In an instant they were surrounded by armoured goblins. They were taller than the ones they had fought before. Everyone formed a circle with their backs to remmy protecting her as she knocked five arrows and shot them into the crowd. John and Koto jumped into the horde. Koto jumped from one goblin to another sinking his daggers into their necks. John swung his swords around cleaving all of the goblins in his chains radius. Badurad launched fire, burning them and killing at least half of the goblins. Then a horn sounded and they attempted a retreat but were cut down by Koto and John who were having way too much fun. Then behind them they saw the reason the rest of the Goblins had fled. Standing there was a demi giant. It towered above them. It was holding a club and had a chain around its neck that was dragging behind him. His skin was rocky and grinded when he moved. His club seemed to be bigger than some of the houses on the lower floors. Remy knocked an arrow and fired it at him. It was a direct hit but the arrow bounced off of his granite skin and fell back into the snow behind her. The demi giant laughed and picked up his club, dropping it on his shoulder. Demi giants are the offspring of mountain giants. Mountain giants by definition are divine beings. They are said to be a part of the earth and are classified under the same threat level as dragons. Meaning if you see one run, run as fast as you possibly can. Demi giants are a lot weaker and would probably be classified higher than hobgoblins however because of their incredibly long infantile state they are vulnerable for at least one hundred years, meaning often they become pets for nobles or are trained by bandits or monsters to be a guard dog or trump card.
