The First Plea

"Wait what! you accepted a rank 3 quest all ready?" Shouted Hiro. This silenced the entire pub that was once bustling. " Shut up, would you?'' Badurad exclaimed then clearing his throat he continued " As you said I accepted a rank three quest to liberate a village from some goblins so it should be pretty easy. I already put in a request to the council for some other group members around our skill level. However, you're the only person I ever get along with. So would you join me in this quest?" Hiro went bright red for a minute and then resumed his joyful smile. "Of course Badurad I won't leave you hanging now lets get some more food." replied Hiro they then both grinned wide smiles and downed their mugs of beer.

The next day they both walked into the center of the 3rd floor to see two people standing together. They saw the two of them and called to them. they all introduced themselves. The first was a large man who was very muscular. He wielded a huge sword that curved outward to an almost flat point. He was named Aleard. The second was the same girl Badurad fought in the entrance test. Her name was Remiald but she preferred to be called Remy. However despite the previous encounter they had no grievance with each other. After a few hours of shopping for food and potions they are ready to depart for the small village of Guilurant.

The waggon hopped and skipped over loose stones that were scattered along the tattered road. The carriage jostled without rest providing little protection from the sun with its mis patched canvas roof. Despite this the waggon kept on going being pulled by a small sleipnir, it was a large horse with eight legs that was as fast as any land dragon and twice as strong. The time passed as quickly as the sights there were mountains and forests. streams and rivers. the lakes glistened under the sun. This beautiful countryside was a farsight from the smoke and dirt he had grown up in.

When they finally arrived at the village Guilurant it had been a three day ride with no rest. The four knights fell out of the waggon with no strength left in their legs. Badurad was the first to stand up. He looked around the village which consisted of about thirty stone and thatch houses and a few general stores. There were two things that stood out about the surrounding area. The first was the wheat fields. They shone with a golden light revealing the top of the Dedenford chatheidrall. The second was a mountain that pierced the clouds. It had a large cave opening about halfway up the mountain.

As the rest of the group regained their legs they looked around the town in awe. It was as if it was straight from a fairy tail. "Are you the knights sent by the council perchance. My name Guilur the village leader and to my right is the priest of the church. and to my left is the wise woman of the village Irama." The voice came from a broad man at the age of about forty with two elders to each side. The man identified as the Priest stood out from the rest as he was wearing pristine white robes with red and gold embroidery. The woman to his left, Irama, was an old woman with a small cane. her back was hunched over and wrinkled. However her eyes were a piercing green, it felt as if she could see into his very soul.

"Yes we are the gallant knights that have answered your plea and will be the ones to save your beautiful village!" Exclaimed Aleard with a deep and noble voice. "Well we are sorry if you are disappointed at the lack of a feast but lots of our food has been stolen by those vile goblins and many of the families in our village are grieving." said the village leader. Aleard just chuckled and proceeded to lift his entire body to its fullest puffing out his chest until his armour was bursting then lifting right arm to his chest flinging it at the breastplate hitting it with his gauntlet creating a deafening sound. "Do not fear, for I am here to save you all, just put your trust in me and prepare a feast for when I return after slaying every single one of those puny goblins! I will return with the head of their leader just leave it all to the Just and righteous Knight Aleard augustice the fourth seventy fifth to the throne!" Then without faltering he grabbed a bag full of food and strode towards the cave steadfast and strong. The rest of the group followed, still stunned by the speech they had heard although some more than others as Badurad could see Hiro failing to stifle a chuckle. "Everyone has their torches and weapons at the ready" shouted Aleard which was received by a series of nods from the rest of the Group "All right then let's go." As the sun burned above them they entered the inky blackness of the cave.
