The Black Castle

Boots stomped, metal creaked, voices sounded out, these were the things Badurad remembered after Zel's fight. He could hardly breathe anymore. His eyes gently opened to see the blue sky hovering high above him. The sun gently shining down on his face. His face was warm. Everything was warm. It had been a while since he had been warm. The only thing he could remember was the intense heat and rage. The sun soothed his wounds and dried the blood that once again covered him. He drifted back into a peaceful sleep. It had been a while since he had done that too. He rejoiced in the blackness.

When he awoke he was moving. He was on a bed of shields wearing tattered clothes. His cloak was burnt, his shirt was practically nonexistent and his boots were gone. His head pounded and his heart was still racing. The shields were encased in John's golden aura. He was drifting behind his friends as they trudged through the snow like normal. Badurad jumped off the shields greeting them and melting the snow with his feet.

After a few hours they spotted something in the distance. It was a structure, a castle. It was black and had several pointed spires. It took them half an hour to reach the castle. Hiro knocked using his usual enthusiasm shouting at the great stone doors. Pounding with his fist. "Should we gop inside" said John his voice agitated and weary

"Well I know we've all been walking for a while and it's been a while since we've eaten or gotten a good night's sleep," said Remy.

"I don't know this place seems pretty creepy and who could live out here? I know we are all tired but maybe it's better to move on." said Koto with a scared tone, his body shaking as he looked at the castle.

"Well I know it's probably dangerous but I also know we are all tired and could use a decent meal. Also if there is someone dangerous in here they most likely occupy this whole area meaning they are the last enemy we have to face and then we get to go home. Plus we have me and I'll protect you all so there is nothing to worry about." Badurad assured them walking forward to the stone doors. Hiro and Badurad pushed the thick doors open revealing a dark hall. There were stone steps leading up and stone carvings of beasts lined the hall. Badurad stepped inside. As soon as his foot landed inside the hall erupted with sound. Feet trampled towards the door. The footsteps belonged to thousands of people. They looked like humans but different. They're flesh was grey and their bodies were drained of all life. Their eyes had been covered. They all moved in complete formation like a hive mind. They had fangs that creeped out of their mouths and claws that stuck out of their hands. Remy knocked an arrow firing into the belly of one of the things but it did nothing. The monster didn't even flinch. It didn't react to the blood that leaked out of it's stomach. They were getting closer and closer. Advancing on the group their fangs dripping with blood and hissing like animals about to pounce on helpless prey. Death loomed over them. Until suddenly a clap came from the stairs. The sound rang through the hall. At the top of the stairs stood a tall man. He had blond hair and red eyes that gleamed through the dark hall. He was wearing expensive clothes and holding a glass filled with a crimson liquid. "Well, hello. It's been a while since I've had guests. Maybe you should get out of the cold. It's been a while since I've had a meal." Then the figure disappeared. There was no trace. Then Badurad felt a warm breath on his ear and a looming presence behind him. "Please come in." Then Badurad was teleported into a room. It had a long oak table. The man was sitting on a great chair at the end of the table swirling the same glass in his hand. "Well you have quite the ... delectable scent. I think you shall be my meal. Not that it matters if you know who I am since you shall soon be dead. However it would be discourteous of me not to introduce myself to my prey. My name is Abneal I am a Ex Noble Vampire. Now shall we fight?" The vampire without waiting for an answer cut his hand open letting blood pour out of his hand. Then the blood wrapped up and formed into a long thin sword. Then springing forward he started thrusting his sword in a flurry of jabs. Badurad was pushed back parrying the attacks narrowly. Being pushed back through the hall. The blades sparked with every hit. The metal met the blood with each hit Badurad's sword chipped. His sword was breaking slowly but surely. After thirty minutes of constant battering it finally broke. After four years of countless battles and thousands of kills the black blade shattered. Pieces flying over the room. As soon as the blade broke Badurad charged his fist up with flames. Then his elbow exploded with fierce heat pushing forward and connecting with the vampire's jaw pushing him up into the ceiling. He fell back down falling onto the stone floors. "Why you slimy little wretch, how dare you lay a finger on me. I will devour you. You are nothing but a dirty, stupid insect nothing more than my food. SO JUST HURRY UP AND DIE YOU LOWLY HUMAN!!" shouted the Vampire his voice contorting with anger. His eyes widened with rage. Then behind them the doors burst open revealing the rest of Badurad's party Hiro rushed forward to Badurad's side, sword at the ready. They both rushed at the vampire whose arms stretched, the veins popping out, his fingernails growing. The swordsmen rushed forward but the Vampire slapped Badurad into a wall and readied to impale Hiro. But instead an arrow flew into the vampire's chest. His head veered to see Remy aiming her bow at the vampire. His eyes widened as he rushed towards her. He kicked her legs sweeping her into the floor then raising his hand above his head he plunged it down towards her chest. Blood dripped and ran down her body.
