Purchasing a plot...ii

"Hahaha..."

The old man's laughter lighten the mood tensed atmosphere.

"These bones of mine are still as strong as when I was a lad,the only thing that imprison me to this chamber is an injury I had back then when we defended the City from the attack of the beast horde."

"Am truly sorry for your injury old one." Wanjiru said in a sympathetic voice, though he preferred for the old man to stop talking and start working.

"Thanks your Lordship but that history....am sure you didn't come here to listen to an man lament...?"

"Finally..." Wanjiru and the two ladies thought...

"Am here to purchase a plot in the business district...."

"I see ..." the old man said as he scratched his chest length grey beard.

"Plots in the business district are quite expensive and rare to find one on sale..."he said as pulled out a crystal from his desk, from it,he retrieved a scroll.

"Let's see if we have any on sale...."he said as he perused the scroll.

Wanjiru was becoming impatient....

"Oh...! How lucky you are...." he said as he pointed at an entry in the scroll...."this land has been on sale for the past eighteen months but none of the merchant or nobles want it."

"Why so...?" Wanjiru inquired.

"Simply because the building on the plot will require one to pay a foot and an arm for renovations...not counting the six thousand gold coins needed to purchase the land,and the fact that it is on the outskirts of the business district."

Wanjiru did his calculations and decided to purchase the plot of land. He was gambling on the system converting the building on the plot of land to resources the moment he used the <Building Sphere>.

"I will take it..."

His tone was filled with resolution.

"Well,that will be three thousand gold coins for you your Lordship."the old man was surprised by his Lordship decision despite all the odds being against him,he chose to purchase the plot of land.

Wanjiru handed over the three thousand gold coins and didn't have to wait long for the land deed to be processed.

"Here's your land deed....if your Lordship likes,the department of lands has a teleportation array that will transport you to your piece of land for inspection and back at this chamber...."

The old man said as he handed him a shiny blue jade....

"All you need to do is break that jade when done inspecting the land...."

Wanjiru couldn't wait to test wether his gamble would work and so he chose to use the array.

The old man activated the array and Wanjiru walked through its blinding red light occupied by the two ladies.

They appeared on a piece of land that had a dilapidated building on it. To him,it seemed like the building had taken a few rounds of air bombings. He could see the reason why nobody wanted to purchase this land.

He retrieved the <Building Sphere> from his inventory at the same time ignoring the wince from the two ladies behind him.

Looking up the information on the building sphere. He mentally chose to use it....

Wanjiru envisioned a four storey building with the ground floor filled with shelves and stands for displaying goods,a waiting room,and the cashier's counter close to the exit door with the store's supervisor chamber at the back.

There was also a restricted flight of stairs that led to the first floor meant to be used by the store's workers.

The first floor entrance was a flight of stairs at the furthest corner of the building. The landing was a large verandah filled with potted plants and colourful roses and daisies.

The first floor was open and filled with circular tables and chairs made out of Water Wood,an Uncommon Grade Wood widely used to make furniture for its calming effect.

At the back was a kitchen big enough to enable smooth running of the restaurant. The floor's decorations were quite lacking but he didn't worry as he had decided to leave that sector for Vicky.

The second floor housed the VIP chambers, the private chambers and a smaller VIP hall. Here to,he left the decorating part for Vicky.

A flight of hidden staircase from one of the private chambers led to the third floor.

The central part of the third floor was a large open area that was to serve as the guild's meeting hall and the dining hall. At the back of the floor, which happened to be the northern wing were the guild leader's, the vice-guild leader and the guild elders chambers.

The eastern wing of the floor housed an open hostel with a thirty triple decker beds,a design he copied from one of the prisons he had visited as a part of a charity organization.

The southern wing housed the forge,the alchemical lab, the apothecary lab and the guild's armoury and physical vault.

The western wing housed the dojo and the training chamber, for the training chambers, Wanjiru decided to be a little creative and attempt combining modern concepts of robots for training dummies and environmental altering technology as to enable the guild members to train under different terrain and climatic conditions.

After going through his design, he was satisfied and chose to submit it for the system analysis.

A minute later,he received another alert. He chose to assume the two beautiful ladies behind him and viewed the alert.
