Beginning

It was a usual day in the life of Henry. He had returned from his school and was helping his sister with preparing dinner. He lived in a village that was close to the farm. He currently went to school and after returning home helped his sister with farming.

His parents had both died in an accident. He lived with his elder sister Angela who was the breadwinner of the duo. Their lives have become miserable after the passing of their parents. All relatives avoided them because they thought that they would ask for money. His sister was the only person whom he could call a family member.

It was a simple vegetarian dinner as they could not afford meat. They went to stroll after dinner every day. The moon was shining just enough to highlight their faces. The silence of the night just brought peace to the mind. Angela looked at her brother and asked:

"How was your day at school today, brother?"

"It was great." as soon sadness could be heard in his voice.

"Did they bully you again? Tell me I will teach them a lesson."

"No, it's nothing like that. I was just thinking about our parents."He didn't want to trouble his sister again.

Henry was not very strong and was always bullied by his senior bullies. One day he was beaten badly and his sister saw bruises all over his body. Angela went to his school and lashed out at the students who bullied him. But instead, they made fun of him and called him a coward who hid behind a girl.

They spread the rumours that he was a siscon and it was the reason he lost all his friends. Of course, she did not know that this would have happened. He was not very worried about this outcome. It's better to have enemies than friends that will leave you over petty rumours.

Upon hearing his words Angela became sad.

"I wish I could meet them again" she murmured.

It had been 2 years since their parents' death.

They approached a lake and watched the reflection of the moon in the lake. The clear sky, the full moon, Waterlilies all added charm to the scenery.

Suddenly a bright light flashed in front of them. The light was so blinding that it caused their eyes to close

A man who seemed to be in his mid-thirties and grey hair was surrounded by seven people each of them exuding such aura that would make anyone feel insignificant before them.

"I did not expect you to betray me blood empress." the grey-haired man said to the red-haired woman in an icy tone.

"I fulfilled my promise and helped you get your hands on it old man. Now I can snatch away that thing. You can only blame yourself for being weak."

the woman was not moved the slightest.

"Haha nice, nice you think you all are great. Do you think I will let you do as you think? Even if I die, I will not let you obtain the treasure that I obtained after sacrificing so much." the grey-haired man was so angry that one could see him shaking.

"Attack him together before he recovers ." one of them shouted. Soon intense fight started.

Although the people were fighting, Henry and his sister could not see the movements of the people. The siblings were dumbfounded. Was it their dream? They looked at each other. Expression of shock could be seen on their faces.

Suddenly a loud cry erupted between the people. The grey-haired man was severely injured. Blood covered all his body his one arm was missing and his clothes were tattered. He was breathing heavily.

"I did not want to use the most dreadful secret technique "SOUL SPLITTING DEMON" of my Divine Demon Sect but you left me with no choice." the grey-haired man said.

"Haha, old man don't make us laugh. Could it be possible that you can execute a secret technique by sacrificing only your soul essence? How ridiculous?"A black-haired man with refined features and a long beard said.

"Of course, I can do it. Do you think that its purpose is to only increase soul force? Only ignorant fools like you can think like this."The grey-haired man sneered.

The expression of the people fighting the grey-haired man turned ugly. The grey-haired man folded his hands and suddenly a while aura engulfed him. His body split into 7 rays and dashed forwards. Seeing the might of the technique the people were horrified. Each of them frantically tried protecting themselves but to no avail. The bright light pierced through their hands and penetrated their heads.

The 7 people coughed something which seemed to be blood but were greenish and their bodies started fading. Angela could no longer watch this gruesome sight. She covered her eyes with her hands and hid her head on her brother's chest.

The bodies of the people disappeared slowly but slightly whitish orbs stayed behind. If one looked closely one could see the resemblance with the bright light that split from the grey-haired man. The seven orbs slowly came together and merged to form the figure of a person. The person seemed to be a grey-haired man. He seemed like he was very exhausted and would die any moment. He locked his eyes on the duo who seemed to be hugging and shot straight forward.

Henry was surprised. He did not know how to react. The man turned into a trail and shot into the body of the girl. As soon as the trail entered her body she lost consciousness. She would have fallen but Henry caught her body and prevented her from falling down

Henry was panicked: "What should I do? Should I take her to a doctor? Should I take her home? Should I check her pulse? Should I pour water on her face?".All these thoughts were running in his mind. He had never felt as useless before except when his parents had died. He did not want to lose this last person whom he loved.
