CHAPTER 3

The next day Wendy wakes up and gets ready for work. Upon getting to work she is met with an angry head nurse and a guilty looking Tony, turns out Tony had forgotten to do a lot the previous day including searching the rooms which has to be done every day as each patient that is well enough has a day to go out and a curfew to come back and when the head nurse had searched she found a razor blade. "of all the things to forget Tony, you can't possibly forget that" Wendy scolds him after the head nurse is gone "I'm sorry Wendy you had to take most of the blame, I promise it won't happen again" he says "it better not" she says "now follow me and lets go do our duties this morning".

 Later during the day, Wendy had just finished a counselling session with one of the patients, as she goes into the staff room she gets a call and on the other end of the receiver she hears a very high toned voice "hello" the voice says "yes, who am I speaking to" she asks "it's me, don't you remember" the voice asks " no I don't remember, I'm sorry but who are you" she asks "we used to go to high school together, it's Perry" she says "oh Perry, it's been a while how have you been" Wendy says "I'm good, been getting myself together after all that happened, it's pretty hard to get in touch with you, you know" Perry answers and Wendy says after "I've been busy since then so, sorry for not keeping in touch you know" "oh it's fine not a problem at all, from what I've been hearing I don't have to ask how you're doing, you did pretty good for yourself, you seem to be doing fine" Perry replies "yeah well I worked hard after everything so I deserve it" Wendy says "yeah you do, anyways, I called to tell you there will be a reunion on Friday, everyone misses you, you know, I told them you'd be coming so promise me you'll come, I mean I also have been wanting to see you for a while now and some of us have great news to share" Perry says "I don't know" Wendy answers "oh please everybody's counting on this and who know when next we'll see huh " Perry pleads over the phone " okay I'll come if I'm not busy then" she replies her "that's great I'll text you the address when you're ready okay?" "yeah sure" Wendy replies her then the call is ended by Perry. Wendy immediately checks her schedule to see if she's free and she just so happened to be free on that Friday to which she sighs "if only" she thinks she turns off her phone and finally walks into the staffroom.

 Meanwhile Perry is at a bar talking with a man twice her size they both just saw Wendy's text saying that she'd be at the reunion, quickly she texts Wendy the address and time, looks at the man, then she speaks "you what to do right, you have to be on standby by 4:00 pm on the dot do you hear me" she says and the man just nods and leaves "make sure everything is set up by then okay" she shouts after him and I raises his hand to show that he heard her, "good, all I have to do is wait now" she says to herself, "I can't be the only one to turn out like this after what happened, I'll ruin her as well" she thinks as she takes a sip of the beer in her hands and smiles to herself.

 It's almost midnight and Wendy's shift just ended, she debates going home or just staying at the hospital but decides to go home anyway. When she does get home she takes a shower and collapses on the bed, she pulls out her phone and saves the number that called her some hours ago "pe—r-ry" she says out loud after that she turns off her phone and sighs and there she lies unable to sleep while thinking of the events that unfolded in the past
