New Day

It's been about a week since I'd cut my wrist. Nobody noticed. Although, I had stayed home all week to stop others from noticing. I'm going back to school today. I don't won't to, I never want to, but I have to.

-6:00 AM-

I woke up to my alarm ringing, a common annoying sound I'm used to. I struggled to get up, wrestling with my heavy bed sheets to get out of bed. I stumbled to my closet to get my uniform, afterwords I went into the bathroom to run the shower.

-6:45 AM-

I was just finishing putting on my uniform, when I had looked down to the cut on my wrist. It was fading by now, just a bit pink. If anyone were to see it, they would probably think it was one of those marks you get on your wrist, when you keep your hair band on you wrist to long. I went down stairs to get some breakfast, as I'd ran into my mom. "Hey, Sweetie!" She was close to shouting. "Hey, Mom" I said back, with a quieter voice. I continued what I was doing. "I'm going into work early today, and I won't be coming back for a few days." She then gave me a serious look. "Okay. Do what you need to do Mom, I won't get in your way." And with that, she kisses my forehead and walked out of the door.

-7:00 AM-

At this point, I need to start walking to the bus. It comes in about 10 minutes, and I'm unlucky if I miss it. Taking each step to the bus stop, I start to remember all of the things Ana and Hannah said and  did to or about me. I sigh as I reach my final destination and wait. I always seem to be the first one here, but today Avery, Karen, and Alli were already there. They'd come rushing to me attacking me with hugs and compliments. Avery had grabbed my wrist to drag me to the bus once it arrived, I had held back a shriek and pulled my wrist back. "What's wrong?" She asked me with more worry than question, I replied with a lie. "Nothing, it was just a muscle reflex." I laughed it off and stepped onto the bus. The bus driver nodded into my direction, welcoming me back. I nodded back with a smile and put in some headphones.

                                   -7:45 AM-

      We had arrived at school. I stepped off the bus and immediately rushed to my locker. I'd gotten my books and papers and walked to my class as fast as possible. As soon as I reached my class, I was Pushes to the ground violently, I assumed Ana or Hannah, and I was correct. I got off the ground quickly while picking up my papers, and quickly walked to my seat before the teacher walked in. I took out a pencil and started writing down a few notes left from yesterday's lesson that I missed. I finished writing and rested my head on the table, not long after I laid my head down, I was hit with a book. I looked up to see who through it and it was Hannah. "Sorry, I thought that maybe if I threw this book at you, it would make you smarter. Guess it's not working." She said and chuckled. I just rolled my eyes and turned my attention to the teacher who had just walked in. This class was boring and I didn't care much for it. It wasn't anything important.

                                    -9:30 AM-

      About half way through math class I started feeling sick. I raised my hand and asked to use the bathroom. I felt all eyes on me. All eyes except for Ana and Hannah's. I knew it was because they were planning something. Right as I started walking out of  the door, one of them asked to use the bathroom. Ana. It was Ana. I walked faster. Instead of going to the bathroom I ran home and locked the door as quickly as possible. Sliding down the door, I sighed. "Why does everything have to be so hard for me?" I said to myself. I looked at my wrist and my eyes watered a bit. I can't get addicted to this. I hesitated, but still slowly walked towards the bathroom. I reached up to my blade and cleaned it, after cleaning it, I set it to my wrist. I took a deep breath, and before I could push it into my skin, the phone rang. I checked the ID and it was my mother. I answered the phone and had a two hour talk with my mother. I was technically just there to here her rant; but I couldn't just leave her.

                                    -12:30 PM-

    I was just cooking lunch when I had gotten a text from this boy at school...Truthfully, he was one of my childhood bestfriends, but we hadn't talked in a while. In a more awkward matter, he was also my neighbor.

Felix 12:31 pm

Why did you ditch school, Kat?

Kat 12:31 pm

I wasn't feeling so well. Why are you asking??

Felix 12:33 pm

I could ditch now, and come take care of you.

Kat 12:33 pm

You wouldn't have to. I think I'm fine.

Felix 12:34 pm

I know you don't like being lonely, and for the rest of the day, I have no tests. I'm coming over.

Kat 12:34 pm

Fine, I'll see you soon. The spare key is under the mat.

       Truthfully, I have had a crush on Felix since we first met, back in kindergarten. When we started drifting apart it really broke me. He knows me better than anyone else, honestly. No matter how good Avery, Karen, and Alli knew me, Felix knew me way better. At this point I gave up cooking. I realized I didn't want anything. I had just laid on the couch and relaxed. The walk from our school was about 30-40 minutes, so Felix wouldn't be here for a bit of time.

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've updated with an actual chapter. I'm really proud of myself. 😂

I hope you all enjoy this book, even though I'm not working so hard on it, and it's kinda cringey, I'm gonna keep trying to have better ideas. I already have some good ideas for the next chapter.
