Chapter 90: Bitter Battle and Unexpected Encounter

*Pew* *Pew* The X-Wing spaceship is shot at from all sides. R.Q is finding the most efficient path to dodge and make an upward motion followed by a spiral motion. 

Ryan aimed the energy cannon at the nose of the ship and shot through 3 necrocraft at the same time! "Tr-Tr-Triple Kill!" Ryan cried out excitedly. 

"Boss, you shouldn't be too happy. You're surrounded," RQ scolded Ryan. They couldn't even retreat to the jump point. The necrocraft is blocking the way there. The necrocraft is only a small 8-meter-long ship, but there are many of them. 

Ryan figures something. The necrocraft is only used by Ronan goons in the Kree empire. The situation is more urgent than he thought. 

"My bad. Enter the nearest planet. I will help you fight." The fight needs to be dealt with quickly. Otherwise, the DarkAster mothership will come for him. Lucky for him, Ronan is busy at this time trying to kill the Xandarian. 

While dodging most of the attack and taking a few shots, the X-wing spaceship is entering a planet nearby.*Beep* The X-wing is violently shaking because of the blasters. Even when it has some vibranium alloy, it wasn't fully vibranium.  

Scorch marks are seen on the X-wing exterior. Inside the ship, some of Ryan's cargo is rolling all over.  The necrocrafts are following the zealot spaceship closely from behind. The dead planet is experiencing the nighttime at the moment. Silence on the planet is broken by the sound of battle in the sky. 

The ships are diving to the planet's surface. The hangar door on the X-wing plane is opened. The Sakaaran who is piloting the necrocraft is startled, but they continue their pursuit. 

Then, a man clad in Beskar's Steel armor jumps from the ship. He glides towards the necrocraft with a DarkSaber in his hand and an Amban phase-pulse blaster that was modified after being bought from the Star Wars universe.

'3 on the left, 2 at the front, 7 on the right. Let's go right.' Ryan analyses the situation while he is in the air. His figure is noticed by the Sakaaran, but in a high-speed pursuit, they don't realize it until he is near them. 

*Boom* Ryan slashes a necrocraft engine, exploding the ship into bits and pieces, killing the pilot in the process. He shoots out a steel cable and it penetrates the necrocraft wings as an anchor. He aimed his rifle and took out 3 crafts with continuous shooting. One-Shot, One Kill! 

R.Q took the gap that Ryan made to change the X-wing ship's posture facing the diving necrocrafts. *Boom Boom Boom* It blasted all the ships into smithereens. 

Only the ship Ryan anchors in are safe. He climbs the steel cable to the necrocraft. A sticky bomb is planted on the side of the craft. The pilot detected the boom. Ryan disconnected the anchor and flew away. "Noo!" The pilot screams. *Boom* The last necrocraft of the first battalion is blown away. 

Ryan glides back to his spaceship. Red Queen connected to his helmet. "Hundreds more are on the way, boss." 

"Let's give them a big welcome."  The particle cannon on every edge of the X-wing is charging a powerful beam. 

"132 ships locked," RQ informed. The targeting system in the ship is working hard.

"Wait for it.." Ryan said. He is standing tall on the surface of the X-wing ship. The necrocraft is now 1 kilometer away from his ship. Facing them head-on, the X-wing is staying still without even dodging. The Sakaaran who is piloting the ships is excited as they thought the Mandalorian is surrendering. 

"156 ships locked," RQ informed. They are now 200 meters away.

"FIRE!" Ryan said while jumping out of the way. *Ziiing* A long streak of red beam cuts through the necrocrafts like butter. *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*

The dark sky is brightly lit with the explosion of the necrocraft. Ryan is floating in the air 100 meters from the ground with the help of his jetpack. The explosion is reflected on the smooth surface of his helmet visor. 

The cannon on the X-wing wings is red hot. The spaceship needs time to cool down before it could use another attack like that. There are still 20 necrocraft coming towards him, albeit reluctantly. They want to retreat, but they also receive orders to kill the Mandalorian. 

Above the planet's atmosphere, the 3 large Kree ships are watching the entire battle. One Kree captain says, "He cannot survive today. Otherwise, the Kree empire will have another difficult enemy."

The other two captains agree with the statement. "Start the orbital bombing," The Kree captain ordered.

"But sir…our troops?" A Kree officer said. Not all of the people in Kree are egotistical maniacs. The Kree officer already knows the incident starts because the official who died started the fight, not the Mandalorian. Now, they are fighting solely to save the face of the empire. It is a very idiotic fight for him.

Their action causes this mess. A very powerful potential enemy. 'No…after this, it is without a doubt he will be the enemy.'

"Just do it." The Kree Captain said. While the Mandalorian is still busy fighting the necrocraft, this is their chance. 

Inside the planet, Ryan is cutting through another necrocraft. "This is easy now, " his experience in space battles skyrocketed during this trip. There is only 10 necrocraft left. 

"SIR, BE CAREFUL!" The Red Queen notified urgently. *Boom* *Boom* *Boom* The cannon from the large Warship of the Kree army fires onto the planet's surface. The earth is flipped, and the ground cracks. The necrocraft near Ryan exploded instantly. 

Ryan got hit directly by one of the green plasma cannons of the orbital bombs. One wing of the X-wing spaceship was hit hard and it broke off from the body. The ship is destabilized and falls to the ground with a trail of smoke from its back. 

"Sir. It hit. He is down." The Kree official says while easing up on the bombardment. 

"Good. Go pick up what is left of him. " The Captain says. The matter is finally over. The Kree empire ruled supreme in the universe!

As all their small spaceship is broken, the warship has to descend into the planet's atmosphere. As it collided with the air on the planet, the Warship front can be seen ignited into flames. That's why Warship rather stays in space than enter a planet's atmosphere. 

They are scanning the planet's surface to find the Mandalorian corpse. If there is any. The Kree is monitoring the radar hand's shakes. His eyes widened. "How is this…possible?"

They saw it. The figure of the armored man standing in a crater. The clean helmet is now full of dirt as he was thrown to the ground. 

A few minutes ago, before the Warship entry. Ryan is shot down to the ground! *Boom* His body fell like an asteroid and creates a crater on the ground. His spine broke, and his ribs bone are poking his heart. *Cough* 

The helmet is full of his blood. His ears are buzzing as the explosion tears up his eardrum. Before this, he didn't has a problem with the Kree. Now, he hated them will all of his being.

'Should I detonate an anti-matter bomb on their planet?' Ryan already started planning in his head. He keeps imagining it. The explosion of the Kree mother planet. The thought alone fills him with excitement.

"R.Q. How is the ship?" 

"(Static) .. Full system recovery in 5 minutes. The wing is broken, however, it didn't cause any trouble flying again. I activated the energy shield at the moment of impact. The damage on the ship is reduced." 

"Meet me at my coordinates when you are back up."

He cast regeneration magic on his body. It took a while for his spine to heal. Then, he heals his eardrum for him to be able to stand up. Even as he falls, the DarkSaber wasn't released from his grip. The rifle is destroyed when he got hit.

He manages to stand up even though he is staggering. With his movement, the dirt that was on him fall to the ground. At that moment, he sees the Kree Warship scanning at him. The Kree ship also notices him.

*sputter* The jetpack is broken. It only has one last juice in it. "That is enough," Ryan said. No matter what happens today, all the Kree here need to die. 

The Kree inside the warship recollect themselves as the Mandalorian is not moving. "Wait, why am I scared? He is only one person, facing a large Warship. He can't do anything." They try to shake off the chills, but some are still shivering. Fear has taken over their mind. They keep thinking that they won't survive here, even when they are at an absolute advantage. 

They are right.

Ryan waited until the perfect moment when the window of the Warship aligned with his stance. The jet pack is ignited one last time. He flew in a straight line at a 45° angle directly to the warship window on its bridge!

*Crash* He leads with his sword, opens up a hole, and crashes into the Kree Warship with his whole body. The Kree member of the bridge staggered backward and falls on his ass. His eyes keep shivering. 

"No..no… Please…," the Kree begs as the Mandalorian is walking calmly towards him. Holding his DarkSaber, Ryan slashes the neck of the Kree who begs for mercy. He didn't spare any of them. He kills the man, the woman, and the children. Minus the children as there aren't any children on board. 

Picking up a communicator in his hand, one Kree soldier contacted the other ships and says urgently. "He's still alive. He is inside the Warship killing everyone on board. The blast didn't affect him…Retreat.RETREAT!!" His mental state is already broken down. 

Not long after that. The voice of the young Kree turns into a scream. Then, the other ships could only hear silence from the descended ship. It was silent until another voice says to the channel.

"(Breaths heavily) Just wait patiently…You' (static)...next…(signal cut off) " Ryan said after he pick up the communicator. He crushes the communicator and hunts down the remaining Kree on the ship. 

"We need to go." The Kree Captains on the other ship says. They are finally retreating. However, their ship is attacked at this moment without warning. 

"How?" The Captain is shocked. The Mandalorian can't reach them so quickly. And it wasn't. A lone glowing figure is attacking the Kree warship in space.

The Mandalorian right now is killing the Kree Captain on the descended ship and storing the Kree's corpse on his storage ring. He didn't connect Red Queen to the ship as he worries the Kree has an AI on its own. 

"They have the supreme intelligence right? Let's crash the ship to the ground first and take a look later." This is a big ship. He figures they will be a lot of good things inside. 

"After I get my revenge." His detection magic shows there is still a Kree soldier fleeing from him. The soldier is a tough one as he jumped from the spaceship to the ground outside with a survival bag. "What the f*ck…" Ryan exclaimed. It was so unexpected. 

The Kree soldier didn't care about the others, at least he will be safe. He didn't want to fight in the first place. It is a good choice as Ryan doesn't want to focus on a single Kree right now. 

"Red Queen. Are you ready?" Ryan asks.

"Yes sir. Will be there in 10 seconds." The X-wing spaceship is already up and running. Ryan took control of the ship and crashes it into the ground. Before it crashes, he jumped out and Red Queen picked him up.

*Boom* The ship scoops up some dirt when it crashes. It leaves a long mark as it skids on the ground before it hit a rock.

Ryan turns his face upwards while he is standing on the front end of the X-wing. He didn't go inside yet. At the moment, the sun is up. He covers his visor with his hand as the light is blinding. "What the hell," He then realizes it. It wasn't the sun at all. It was a human. A female human. The blinding light dimmed a little, leaving the blonde-haired girl in a blue and red battle suit and a star emblem on her chest. 

"Are you hurt?" Captain Marvel asks the Mandalorian. The warship on the outer surface is already destroyed by her.

An hour before the meeting, Carol Danvers received a notification from Talos, a Skrull leader. It's about the missing children from Earth being delivered to Xandar. She goes to check the information when she comes across the Kree finishing the orbital bombing. 

After destroying the Warship, she goes to the planet to check. It shocked her to see the battle marks on the planet. Hundreds of necrocraft and an orbital bomb. 'What enemy is the Kree facing?'

She sees a man hopping out of the Kree warship. It seems to be the one responsible for all the mess. He jumps on a familiar-looking ship for her. Even the attire is familiar-looking. 

"Where did I see it before?" She wonders. It was expected that she needs time to figure it out as she has been away from earth for almost 20 years. That is not what is important to her right now. Facing this mess, there is no chance the man will come out unscathed. She notices that the man's knees are staggering when he lands on the white ship that is full of blaster marks. 

"Are you hurt?" She asks in concern, but still puts her guard up. 

Ryan's brain short-circuited at that time. He isn't answering so Carol asks again. This time, Ryan has collected himself. 'Meeting her is unexpected but I can't waste this meeting can I?' 

"Broken ribs, bruised spine, and bleeding in the internal organs." He answered. Carol is shocked, not because of the answer, but because Ryan uses English without a translator. 

"You're from Earth?" She asks

"Are you?" Ryan also asks without confirming anything.

"Yeah. You're a long way from home." Carol smiles. She feels a little nostalgic. Ryan is glad. At the very least, this Carol didn't have the same personality as the ones in MCU with the 'I'm better than you attitude'. He didn't realize Carol treats him differently as his battle gave an impact on her. 

Ryan landed on the planet's surface while Carol is following him. More like leading him. She enters the spaceship as the planet didn't have a breathable atmosphere for a human.

"Beer?" Ryan said while removing his armor. He sat in the medical chair with his helmet still on. 

"I will have one. How… are you here?" She has so many questions. Ryan pointed to the fridge. She goes to take the beer on her own. The taste had almost been forgotten by her. She sees the battle effect on Ryan's body. He has bruises all over his perfectly shaped, muscular body.

" A snake team kidnaps some children. I want to send them back. My last stop is Xandar," he explains some things to Carol. 

"And how are you capable of going to space? Is the earth advanced now?" Carol asks. If the Earth is a bit more advanced, she won't have a problem staying there. 

"Oh no..this… is all me…" Ryan said while pointing all over the place. It's been a long time since he can brag to someone about him being a genius. On Earth, everyone knows who he is. 

Carol asks some questions which Ryan gladly answers. She didn't ask about the battle, but about the Skrull kids that Ryan sent. After getting confirmation that they are safe, she relaxed a little bit. 

"Want some cake?" Ryan asks. The best way to give a good impression on someone is by filling them up with food. Carol gladly takes the offer. She feels good talking to the man even when he is covering his face. He didn't treat her like an inferior, nor was he afraid of her. Most people will be afraid of her when they know what she can do.

They talk, and she learns his nickname is the Mandalorian. She confirms he is from the earth this time. "Star Wars fan huh. I went to see it in the theater. That's why you look so familiar. " 

A good head and a kind heart. Also good at battle and schemes. When she hears Ruan's story, she couldn't help but give a thumbs up inwardly. 

"The theater? How old are you?" Ryan teases. She looks like she is in her late 20's, but truthfully? She is almost 50 years old. 

She refuses to answer the question. So what if she ages differently from other people? 

They talk about a lot of topics. Including the one named Fury.  Of course, Ryan took this chance to tattle about what Fury did at him. 

"I will need to talk to him. You say he has a major persecution complex. I think I know what happened to him. " She is the one who had happened to Fury. She couldn't help but feel responsible. Someone prevented a nuke from exploding, and Fury interrogated him. If she is in Ryan's place, she also will be mad. 

She took out a pager and was mocked by Ryan. She plans to contact Fury before Ryan chimes in. 

"Oh my god. You're old, aren't you? " It was technology 20 years ago. He laughs a little. 

He takes a quantum communicator that he looted from the Kree ship before and makes some adjustments. It is now a smartphone the size of an iPhone 6. 

"Here. This is the new tech. You can use my transmitter to access the Earth's internet. Maybe you can find it more useful. Also, here.." He set up a chatting account for her and added him to the friend list. 

"If you're bored sometime, just text me." 

Ryan got the biggest harvest of his trip to space. The ability to contact Captain Marvel.

Before they split up, Carol asks him.

"What is your name?"

"Ryan. Ryan Knight." 

He held his hand to shake her hand. They already talked about identity and keeping it a secret. He knows she wouldn't say it to Fury. At least not right now. She won't be back to Earth as the Kree is active in the universe right now, attacking innocent primitive civilizations.

When she learned about the information on the internet, she didn't hesitate at all to keep his identity a secret. But it will be weeks from now. An imaginary burden melts away from her shoulder as she knows the earth has a very strong protector. 

"Carol. Carol Danvers." She shakes his hand before flying to Xandar. 

Thus, the interplanetary relationship between the two earthlings begins. 

After Carol leaves, Ryan fixes up his spaceship a bit before he goes to loot the Kree Warship. 

"I am very lucky that I still have a Pym particle. Otherwise, the nearly intact warship will go to waste." He shrinks down the warship before he stores it in the storage ring. He is now flying toward his planet. It is a smooth ride all the way home.  

He didn't realize it, but a legend has spread all across the universe. The tale of the Universe Strongest Bounty Hunter that took out a warship with a blade. 

In a bar at Xandar colony station. A man wearing a brown leather jacket and a  discernible sideburn on his face heard the rumor. " Mandalorian…Isn't that from Star Wars?"

"Quill, you know who he is?"

"Yes. He is the best bounty hunter in the galaxy." Then Peter Quill started to add to the rumor until it became so big, that Xandar has heartache because they didn't have his contact information. No one ever thought that he was a character from a movie. Even Peter Quill is confused by that. 

The Kree is anxious. They noticed something greatly disturbing in the rumors. The Mandalorian isn't one person… but a tribe. 

The young Kree soldier exclaimed after he got saved from the desolate planet after a few days of living in the wild and learned the current fiction, "We have made a terrible enemy…"
