Chapter 162: Wakandan Embassy. 

"How does this look on me?" Ryan wore thick glasses with a giant frame and it enhanced the size of his pupil, making him look like a nerd. 

The veil that blocked his vision was finally cured, and now he is only suffering from a far-sightedness and short-sightedness at the same time. 

"Pfft-" Gwen held her laughter back after seeing him testing his 10th pair of glasses today. 

"Still looks weird huh?" Ryan smiled and said. 

"Finally. You look like what a smart guy is supposed to look like." Yelena said. She was very satisfied to see the nerdy sight of Ryan. 

"Don't mind them Mr. Knight. You are looking very cool." Peter Parker that wore the same type of glasses said. 

Ryan was in his penthouse at the moment, finally returning home after spending two weeks in Washington DC to stabilize the country. 

It's been a week since the Griffin attack. 

Peggy Carter took the lead in taking down her long time enemies, the Secret Empire with decisiveness and maximum efficiency. 

They had taken down some of the leaders called the numbers, a few cyborgs who were once good people and were brainwashed, and a few companies that were a front for the Empire. 

Kai was responsible for the healing of the griffin and the other brainwashed members. Additionally, Ryan secretly fed intel to Peggy to find the hiding leaders of the Empire. SHIELD needs a win at the moment after all that they have gone through. 

Using the ITS, he chatted with the one-eyed Cyclop – Nick Fury from another world and managed to trade for SHIELD's database in that world. Like him, the transmigrated Fury decided to change the Era for the humans of this world. 

Advancement and Ethics should come side by side. That should be the motto for advancement of one's civilizations.  However, the 21st Century was filled with a lot of profiteers who didn't care about ethical procedures, as long as they held the power in their hands. 

Living in a super world, Ryan had noticed that the people here have an extremely overblown ego and main character syndrome. They felt that they could handle the entire human advancement with only their hand, and other people didn't matter. 

Although that's precisely what Ryan seemed to have been doing, he actually listened to countless transmigrator in different universes and gathered data from each of them. 

He had his own council to correct his mistakes and criticize his actions, making the people of his world think he was omniscient as he kept showing unparalleled capabilities to lead the country. 

"Peter. You have an ass kissing tendency. So I couldn't trust you very much." Ryan teased and put down the glasses he was wearing. 

Peter scratched his cheeks while Yelena laughed at him. Both of them have some type of matter to report, and he called both of them here at the same time. 

"How about this one?" Gwen took half-frame glasses in gold-rim and put them on him. The glasses didn't make his eyes seem bigger, and he was looking rather sophisticated instead. 

"Hmm. Hiddle wears this type of glasses." Ryan said as he looked in the mirror. "It looks good." He pushed the center of the glasses upward and turned toward the group. 

"Tch. I like the other one better." Yelena scoffed. 

"Anyways." She handed a stack of documents in Ryan's hand.

 "A lot of tech has gone missing the past few weeks. And also, we finally found the traces of the prisoners that had escaped from the SHIELD's prison, but they are holding up in a sovereign country." 

"Latveria?" Ryan asked. 

"Yup. Also, Norman Osborn is there at the moment." Yelena added. 

"Hmm.. That's troubling." Ryan muttered. "Have you located Karla Sofen?" 

"Yeah. She, too, is in Latveria. Together with the missing prisoners. And worse of all, she has her powers back." Yelena replied. 

Ryan already knew what was going on there, but he decided to let SHIELD and the Avengers take the lead. Otherwise, it will be useless for him to cultivate them. It will also give the Avengers some new target practice that could improve their combat teamwork. 

"By the way, are you sure about joining SHIELD?" Gwen asked Yelena curiously. 

"Yeah. I want to see the organization that my sister was talking about." The 5th level agent said. 

"You can join the Avengers. There will be no problem with that." Ryan interjected. 

"No. I want to join SHIELD. Besides, even Skye is joining SHIELD now. The Avengers won't be able to work efficiently with too many members. But SHIELD can." Yelena explained smugly. 

"What's SHIELD?" Peter whispered toward Ryan. At that time, Kai and Coulson walked into the penthouse, with Skye following closely behind. 

"Peter, let me tell you what SHIELD is all about," Coulson was excited when he heard his cue. It's been a long time since he has shared with someone the SHIELD's full name.

"Later Phil. So how's Skye's test?" Ryan asked hurriedly, cutting Phil from brainwashing the young boy. 

Kai replied instead. "She passed the SHIELD's agent test in flying colors. Combat abilities, data gathering, espionage, and all the categories." He ruffled Skye's hair because he was proud of her, but instead of love he received a glare.

"DAD! (hushed) Don't embarrass me in front of Mr. Knight!" Skye scolded her father and brushed his hand away quickly. 

"She is now a level 3 agent of SHIELD, and will be following me on my mobile team." Phil Coulson added. The Agents of SHIELD are now online. 

"Good. I expect greatness from you Skye. and also, Yelena." Ryan patted Skye's shoulder, filling her with a feeling of elation. Yelena scoffed and smiled secretly. 

'The Vice-President and also the Director of SHIELD is cheering me on!' She thought excitedly on the inside, but had a barely kept poker face on the outside. The test side was nearby, and Ryan was the only Director in the country at the moment. 

He approved the documents from which she was able to become an agent, and she was promoted on the same day. 

Kai saw that she was desperately trying to keep her emotions together and he chuckled. He had taught her everything she needed to know to survive in this world. However, he couldn't stop her from doing what she wanted to do. 

It's time for her to get out from his shadow and spread her wings. Of course, with a lot of important safeguard that could keep her safe anytime she needed it. He may have shown her the way to fly but he wasn't prepared to stop being a father just yet. 

"Here. This is my personal number. You can call me if you need my help anytime you want." Ryan sends his details to Skye's phone. 

"What about me?" Yelena asked in a dissatisfied tone. She joined SHIELD to try and become closer to her sister, although she didn't say it. She and Kai were both ignored by Natasha for a few days after she knew the truth. 

Ryan was let off easy on the account that he was blind for a week.

"You already have my number." Ryan dismissed her. Gwen giggled at Yelena's misery and grabbed Ryan's arm. "Although, don't call too much if it isn't an official business."

"I know that." Yelena pursed her lip and said. Ryan smiled softly, not understanding why Gwen was claiming him like that. 

"Wait. Where's Peter?" Ryan looked around to search for the boy. Then, he saw that Peter was in a deep conversation with Phil Coulson. 

'I wonder what Peter's future will look like now?' Ryan thought to himself while feeling amused. Peter's life had completely changed with his intervention. Not only does he have connections to the upper tier members of the country, Peter has changed a bit in his personality sheets. 

Although he was still nerdy, Peter now was more confident and the best student in the country. Even Ryan was surprised when he saw the report. It was highly attributed to him, but he didn't realize that.

Peter's pursuit in the sciences had amplified, and he had come out with several inventions of his own. Ryan had patented some of his inventions, and helped Peter to get some money from it. 

" We're the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement andLogistics Division." Phil announced to Peter, and kept explaining their job to the kid. 

"Phil. You dare to poach him?" Kai muttered playfully. 

"Well, he wasn't on anybody's system yet." Phil said with a sly smile. 

"Well, he's on mine. So back off." Ryan said with a smirk. 

After some arguments, Phil decided to back off. Right now, SHIELD is severely lacking in new recruits. They have been searching for talents from all over the world, and could barely resume their normal operations. 

They had to finish their conversation here quickly, and Skye was sent on her first mission on the same day she joined as their lack of people allowed her to skip the orientation process.

After having a teary goodbye with Doreen, she boarded the Bus – Phil's mobile base. Because she won't be able to come back for quite some time, and it caused Kai to feel lonely too. 

After Phil, Skye and Kai left his house, Ryan dropped off Peter at his school before he flew to New York with Yelena and Gwen. 

Peter was there to submit his weekly homework that Ryan has prepared for him. Peter could answer questions on a university level now. However, May wouldn't let him skip his grade and enter high-school directly. She felt that he was too naive, and would like him to grow up normally in the school. 

On another note, Harriet Osborn was admitted to the same school as he was, the Midtown High instead of a private school. It puzzled Ryan to think about Norman Osborn's thought process. 

'Although he was researching the Oz serum, I don't think that Norman will be stupid enough to test it in his body as he was cured of his genetic disease. Did the goblin already come out? Or is this just the ordinary Norman?'

In the Wakandan Embassy. 

"My name is T'Challa. Son of King T'Chaka."  The black panther in his normal outfit greeted Ryan and his entourage.

The meeting was postponed for 2 weeks after the discussion from both sides. T'Challa had been gathering information on the Avengers, the country and Ryan on the time he spent waiting for the meeting.

He even broke into the Avenger Tower once while they were not there, and Ryan just gave  him the permission to do that. After all, T'Challa didn't have any bad intentions. What he wanted was to see if Wakanda was on Avenger's monitoring list or if they knew about the vibranium mount. 

But to his relief, the Avengers didn't even place Wakanda in their sight. The Avengers still see the country as an impoverished country.

"Ryan. Ryan Knight." Ryan held his palm for a handshake. T'Challa did the same thing, however the moment their hand touched. 

"What the-" Ryan muttered as his surroundings changed. He could see an infinite white plains, and a tree full of black panthers. Then, he saw a gigantic white panther staring at him. It happened for a split second, and his surroundings turned back to normal afterward. 

"Ryan?" Gwen asked in concern as Ryan suddenly became stunned. 

"Prince T'Challa." The Dora Milaje in normal clothing tried to jerk T'Challa back to reality. 

Both T'Challa and Ryan were suddenly frozen, as if time had stopped for them. It caused some concern for the people around them. The Dora Milaje would have been hostile if not for the exact situation that happened to Ryan. 

"What was that?" T'Challa said in a barely audible whisper as he released Ryan's arm calmly. He wanted to remove it quickly, but it would seem impolite toward Ryan. He saw the same thing as Ryan, but from the perspective of the Panther God – Bast. 

T'Challa only saw the ancestral plane once after he drank the Purple heart-shaped herb and became the New Black Panther. He could recognize what he was seeing, however he couldn't comprehend why Ryan was invited there – or managed to intrude there.

In the ancestral plane, Bast smirked as she finally sensed Gaia's kins aura again.  She commanded T'Chaka who was in Wakanda at that time, and the King was shocked again with the revelation that he had gotten.

"We are proud that we could help you. Your generosity on the Wakandan people, and the entire continent will be etched in all of history. I have visited the city you're building in Somalia. It is a wonderful city, full of potential." T'Challa said sincerely.

The city in Somalia had entered the final phase of construction. Even then, more than 1 million people were living there at the moment. They came from various parts of the continent, and had been making Somalia having an influx in their population. 

Also, T'Challa heart beats faster everytime he meets with Obax. Although he has a long term girlfriend at the moment. 

"About the Vibranium, we will be glad to sell some to you-" 

Before T'Challa could sell the vibranium at a lower price than he sold to the CEO around the world to sustain Wakanda, one of the Dora Milaje stopped him and conveyed the word from his father. 

T'Challa widened his eyes while Ryan tilted his head in puzzlement. 

"What's going on T'Challa?" Ryan asked. 

"Nothing. It looks to me that the deal has changed." T'Challa said with a smile. 

Ryan's entourage grimaced their faces, thinking that the Wakandans are now going back on their word. The vibranium procurement in Wakanda had been extremely hard as the Wakandans only had a minute amount of it.  

They felt that T'Challa would demand an exorbitant amount of money for it. 

Decades of Wakandans cover-up had allowed the upper echelon of the country to feel that way. Even Tony Stark was rejected when he wanted to buy some vibranium before this. 

"My father. King T'Chaka. Had decreed. The 5 kilogram of vibranium in our storage. Will be given to Ryan Knight … for free."

"What-" Ryan widened his eyes when he heard that. Gwen also widened her eyes in surprise, as the amount Ryan wanted was only 500 grams!

T'Challa has a rare soft smile on his face, as he remembered what his father said.

"Ryan Knight had passed the vibranium trial and was judged worthy by Bast."

Those who decide to go through the trial will be judged by Bast. His mind. His body. His soul. 

And Bast decided that he was worthy the moment he stumbled into the Ancestral Plane. She wanted to give him more, but she realized that it would bring calamity toward the Wakandians if she did that. 

The split second moment Ryan was there, Bast had seen through him as she could see the future that he would bring. 

She also noticed that Ryan knew about the Wakandians, and has been protecting them. Added to all that he had done to the world, Bast would allow him to use as much vibranium that he wanted, as she knew he didn't have any greed for it.

That was because Ryan already got the coordinates from where the vibranium mound actually came from.If Wakanda has a hill full of it then He has a planet. 

Bast didn't know that. Some of his defenses couldn't be penetrated by her. That's why T'Challa will come visit him soon as the Black Panther and will further explain her word to him in a more private occasions.

At Kai's new place in New York. The house was rearranged the same way as the previous ones. However, the new place has 3 rooms instead of two. 

"Kai. I want some burgers." Doreen requested in a tiny voice. They were sitting at the sofa watching TV before she asked for some food. 

After Skye left, Kai had spent some time with Doreen to make sure she calmed herself down.

 That's also why he took several days off from prison. He had cured the innocent people that he could cure in a short period of time, while ALBUS, Yinsen, and some of the islanders were helping him to find cure for the others.

"Sure. How many did you want? Do you want the entire restaurant ?" Kai asked while flashing a kind smile. 

"I don't need the restaurant. Otherwise Mr. Dom (Domingo) will cry." Doreen replied seriously, making Kai chuckle at her. 

They arrived at the restaurant and ordered food as the VIP even though the restaurant was packed. 

"She is so cute. Is she your daughter?" The newly hired waitress tried to initiate a conversation with Kai. 

"Yeah. She is my precious daughter." Kai replied with a smile. 

She smiled at Doreen and waved , making the little girl embarrassed and hid her face at Kai's back. She peeked at Ophelia and smiled at her. 

After a few minutes, Kai asked Doreen to do something. "Hey, I forgot the ketchup. Could you be a good girl and go get it for me?"

"Dad, you're so forgetful!" Doreen said in a fake annoyance.

"Not the store brand. But the one Domingo had been hiding. Ask him for it will you?" Kai said. 

"Sure." Doreen replied and went downstairs to get the ketchup from Domingo, leaving only Kai and Ophelia in the upper floors VIP room.

5 minutes later, Natasha arrived hurriedly at the restaurant after she checked with Doreen who was hiding with Domingo in a safe house nearby. 

But what she saw was; Kai locking lips with the new waitress and his hand on her left breast.

In a hidden location. The dark cave was filled with worshippers in black robes, serving the statue of a demon lord. 

"S-Sire. With the Avengers intervention. It is impossible for us to kill Ryan Knight." A worshiper knelt and said to the head priest of the demon worshippers.

"It doesn't matter." The head priest said unexpectedly. 

"S-sire?" 

"Help him instead. Cause the change to come sooner." 

"Sire! Have you lost your mind!" 

The worshippers there were clamoring against themselves. If they help Ryan, then they will lose everything that they had created. So why should they do that willingly?

"It's the lord's order. If we push the change forward, he can use it to descend on our plane, vanquishing our foes and resetting civilization." The head priest said fanatically. 

All of the people there were people who had aversion to changes in the era of humanity. They felt reluctant to follow the order, but they did so anyway. 

Suddenly, Ryan found out that his effort to change the country was beginning to bear some results.  He received a lot of support from the consortiums, Oil companies , and the fortune 500 companies, to help him in his efforts. 

The troops from all over the world were recalled. The war that was created for the profit of the country was stopped. Ryan took total control of the CIA, FBI and DOD. 

In the frozen hell, the towering figure of the stagnant devil, Ikthalon, was standing still like an ice sculpture. Then, his finger twitched.
