She doesn't know

Matsuri glanced at Ume as soon as the girls walked in.

In a matter of seconds, Nene began to cry. Yuzu wasn't in the condition as she always daydreamed about. Himeko had looks of horror on their faces with glossy eyes. Suzuran had a look of concern while she observed Yuzu.

"Wh-wha?".. Harumin growled unable to compose the rest of the words while her eyes were watery.

"What happened to her?" HImeko asked instead, knowing that, thats what Harumin was thinking of asking.

Ume could not find the strength to say what happened to Yuzu again. She just sat on the chair looking at the floor, devastated.

"She got fucking raped and beaten and left to fucking die!" Matsuri yelled with anger in her voice then turned to the window.

Ume slowly cried again, this time feeling pure anger towards the person who did it.

The girls looked at matsuri's outburst. Harumin turned around and covered her face with both hands sniffled.

Nene leaned against the wall near her, got down and hugged her knees while she looked down crying.

"Mrs Aihara... I'm sorry" Himeko said

-----

Matsuri called everyone outside and left Ume with Yuzu. Everyone waited for Matsuri to talk.

"Don't tell Mei about this."

"Why not?" Himeko asked upset.

"she doesn't deserve it."

"But nothing, she left and she has no business to know anything about Yuzu." Matsuri looked at Himeko.

"They are still family" Nene said.

"No they are not! If they were then why didn't she properly said goodbye?" Matsuri said looking Nene now.

"What do you mean?" Harumin asked.

"She left Yuzu. Have you seen a change in Yuzu when Mei left and that notebook she has every time? Yuzu may not say it but she's hurting inside. She's trying to be the bubbly Yuzu that we know. Do you know how hard is that for her to act as everybody expected her to?" Matsuri"s voice cracked a little.

They all nodded.

"Mei didn't tell Yuzu about the engagement. And left her that notebook, I talked to Ume about this and told me that Mei didn't want Yuzu to know. That same day I saw, what was in that notebook. That notebook was when Yuzu planned her first date with Mei and in that same damn notebook was where Mei wrote in and left her so called goodbye...what a fucking coward." Matsuri turned to look at them.

"Thats why that bitch doesn't deserve to know I don't want to see her near Yuzu.. I regret Letting Yuzu be near her"

They all looked disappointed.

Himeko tried to talk again "Mei.."

"Enough. Mei doesn't deserve to know and that's it." Matsuri walked away after saying that.

One and half day later--

Two police officer called Ume out and told her that no evidence was found at the scene where it all happened and that no witnesses were present only the couple who found her afterwards.

Matsuri, Harumin and Nene and Himeko were in the room looking out for Yuzu.

"I don't know if I should call Mei, I don't want for grandpa to get upset that I only called to ruin the wedding. And I don't want also to ruin Mei's big day. Ume sounding unsure. She didn't like to hide things to her daughters.

Matsuri talked to Ume out of telling anything to Mei or her grandfather. Obviously Shou had to know, but had to respect Ume's decision on not telling Mei of what happened. So Shou would check up on Yuzu and Ume daily.

-----

Shou tried to talk to Mei numerous times to check up on her. The maid would pick up and tell Shou that Mei was fine or that she was busy. Sometimes Mei would talk to Shou for a bit and then she would say that she had work to do and had to leave.

If Mei had time, Shou would ask Mei if she was sure Mei would stay quite for a bit then would say "yes".

----

Harumin, Nene, Kayo and Himeko had to leave due to their strict parents, but still gave them permission to visit Yuzu before it gets dark.

Suzuran went to visit Yuzu. Matsuri sat there with Ume. They updated Suzuran. Suzuran then got near Yuzu and slowly pulled down her shirt.

"What are you doing?" Asked Ume.

"I want to confirm something. She doesn't have her ring necklace." Suzuran covered Yuzu's chest again.

"What are you talking about?"Ume asked again.

Matsuri got up and checked Yuzu, she didn't know about the ring. Matsuri saw Yuzu's face and closed her eyes trying her best to hold her anger.

"Yuzu always carrying that ring as a necklace. I don't know if she decided to not wear it again or..?" Suzuran asked them and herself.

"Are you sure?" Ume asked getting up concerned.

"I'm positive, she always hid it under her shirt."

Suzuran responded trying to keep herself calm.

Ume gave the key to Matsuri to check the apartment for the ring before telling the police. Matsuri went with Suzuran to the Aihara Apartment.

Aihara's Mansion--

Mei sat next to her husband. Daigo wanted to discuss the finishing touches for their marriage.

Mei yawned and felt someone grab her hand. She looked up to see Udagawa looking at her "we can go home if you're tired."

It was pretty late and the only thing that Mei wanted to do was to go home. Not just to any home, she wanted to go home where Yuzu is waiting for her.

Before Mei got the chance to respond back to him they phone rang.

ring ring ring

"Aihara residence, who am I speaking to?" Daigo asked with deep serious voice.

Mumbling could be heard coming from the phone.

"I know you're her friend but we don't need any distractions right now. Mei has her responsibilities as the next head of the Aihara household."

The only repeated words that stayed in Mei's mind was NO DISTRACTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES.

Then Daigo hanged up.

"Grandfather, who was that?" Mei asked.

"Nobody, now where were we?"

Mei looked down and felt anxious but she doesn't know why.

----

To make things more worse for Himeko, Mei did not own or knew how to use a cellphone/

Udagawa's Residence

Late at night Mei and Udagawa drove home

"Mei don't worry, soon you will be able to visit your friends and can go back to school after all of this. I won't interfere with your friendship or any of your business in school" Udagawa smiled to lighten up the mood.

"Thank you" was Mei could answer.

After arriving home, they went to their separate rooms. Yes they were married but they don't have any romantic feelings for each other.

Mei took off her shoes and laid on her bed, she thought of those days when sometimes Yuzu wanted a kiss before they sleep. Mei took out the ring that was hanging around her neck and squeezed , her eyes watered as she closed her eyes, imagining Yuzu's smile and her arms wrapped around her.

Ever since Mei left, she would wake up wishing that her dreams being with Yuzu were reality.

A few days later --

Yuzu woke up.

"Mom, where am I?" as she scanned the room. She saw different faces. Then the gang approached her as they are happy that Yuzu finally woke up "Yuzu!"

She freaked out and started to cry. "Who are you?! Stay away from me! Get me out of here!" Yuzu screamed on the top of her lungs wanting to get up, getting red from all the screaming.

The girls stopped their advances and was startled and confused by the blonde's sudden reaction.

The doctor quickly came in to the room and held Yuzu down, Ume was on her side holding her, trying to calm her down by caressing her head.

"Yuzu honey, Yuzu look at me, calm down, you are fine." Ume cried as she told her soothing words.

Yuzu ignored her words.

Then the doctor ordered

"Nurse give me a diazepam, stat!"

The nurse got out the room rushing to get the medicine.

Yuzu's screamed were heard all over the hallway.

I'll post the next chapter tomorrow. :)
