Chapter 22 Back to zero

Now I'm back to zero, I've wasted four days of my life working for nothing. Now I have nothing and I don't know what to do.

I got even more desperate when I got home and found my father tensed in his room. He was looking really worried.

"Dad what happened?" I asked him.

"The landlord is kicking us out if we don't pay him tomorrow." He said immediately, forgetting that he was mad at me.

Oh no! Just what we needed and I had just quitted! It's like the world is against us.

"What did you tell him?" I inquired.

"That we wouldn't be able to pay but he did not care and left with that warning." He replied.

"Shit!" I cursed. "We owe him six months, we can't pay all that just tomorrow."

"I know that, isn't that why I'm so worried? There's no one who would help us in this world." He started sobbing.
