Chapter two

Lauren woke up in her condo, she couldn't remember how she got here as she touched her head. She had a headache. Soon she realized she was having nightmares about everything that happened that night and that's when she remembered.... Jayden was dead. She soon panicked. What if she was arrested for it, the man who had said he'd take care of it was brutally dumped by her a week after Jayden died, she said he wasn't her type anymore. She was afraid he'd also want to harm her. She sat curled up in her bed. That's one of the reasons she refused to leave the house but she couldn't stay any longer..

" Trisha!!!", Lauren screamed and soon a lady ran in and bowed before her.

"Good morning miss",she greeted respectfully

" Go prepare a bath for me and an outfit to wear, I'm going out ",she said and the lady bowed and immediately did what she said but before she had the bath she was served breakfast. Soon Lauren left the building with her hair packed up and shades on.

She got into her BMW and drove towards work, she worked for huge company in city V. She only worked there because her father had told her she needed to get a job or he wouldn't send her money so she began to work here since he had gotten her a job here.

She parked in the parking lot of the building and walked in, she looked for her key card in her purse but ended up bumping into someone on her way in. Just as she was about to vent, her eyes finally got a better look of the man. He was incredibly handsome and had an air of arrogance around him, just as she was gawking, he quickly pulled her to the side and soon bullets were fired at their former position. Was that aimed at her?? she soon began to panic and looked worryingly at the man who saved her but he gave her an assuring smile. " My men will take care of the assassin so don't worry, and maybe after this we could go for lunch", the man smiled at her which made her heart beat faster.

" S-sure ", she agreed smiling back and that's how the two met and soon they started dating which made Lauren really happy, this was actually the first time she felt this way for a guy and she liked it.

After a couple of months the two decided to get married which was moving too fast but she didn't care she believed she loved him enough.

After signing at the marriage office, she moved in with him and the first month was blissful but it soon changed as soon as she was asked to sign some documents that he said was about the house, she happily signed it but as soon as she did she suddenly felt her chest become heavy, she looked at him and soon she passed out. She woke up to find herself on their bed but when she tried to sit up, she was restricted by chains on both her hands. What was happening?? " Conrad, Conrad!! ", she screamed frantically trying to escape from the chains but she couldn't.

"Man...your so noisy ", he said touch his ears before showing an evil grin

" Why am I chained to the bed, is this a joke??, very funny now please release me ",she smiled at him while still struggling to break free.

" A joke? I don't think so darling, I would never joke about something so serious ", he smiled which made a chill run down her spine. She felt the man right now wasn't the Conrad she knew. He seemed dangerous at this moment.

" please don't kill me ", she soon found herself saying these words which made him amused.

" Kill you??, if I did that I'll be letting you off to easy. I have different plans for you babe ", he said as he leaned in to kiss her, she tried to resist but it felt like she couldn't disobey him and ended up kissing him.

" Why are you doing this ??, was our relationship a joke to you?", she asked sounding heartbroken. He only smiled and shook his head.

" What do you know about relationships, is using people and breaking them part of your idea of a relationship? ", Conrad asked

" I never used you "

" But you used my best friend ", he shouted, bestfriend?? She was confused but soon realized....

" Y-your Jayden's friend?? ", a face turned white, " I didn't kill him I swear it was a guy ....

" You cheated on him with someone at the same party, he died because of you and you didn't even mourn him instead you moved on a week later ", he said patiently.

" I.... your crazy let me go or I'll call the police ", she said still struggling to break free. He only laughed then removed the chains and tossed a phone to her.

" Go ahead and call the police I'm waiting ", he sat crossed leg across from her. She hesitated for awhile but she quickly dialed a number. You think I won't report you, dream on. The number finally went through and a voice was heard ..

" City V police department, how may I help you ",the receiver said

" Yes please.....", she felt something around her neck but Conrad was nowhere near her. The choking feeling only increased causing her not to talk .

" Hello ma'am, are you still there?? ", soon the corespondent hung up on her since she didn't reply, she couldn't reply.

" What did you do to me ", she screamed at him but he only smiled then brought out a purple piece of paper making her eyes widen in shock. " That was the c- contract you told me was for the house"

" What a sharp eye you have, Yes it's a contract but not for any god damn house, it's one binding us forever and making you subservient to me ", he answered lazily causing Lauren to burst out laughing.

" This isn't some fairy tail you bastard, you think a piece of paper can bound us for life?? You're delusional and I'm not gonna stay here and watch you rant. I'm leaving", soon she got up and tried to walk out the door.

" Come here ", he said causing her to stop before turning around and walking back to him then kneeling at his feet. What was she doing?!? She tried to get up but she couldn't, could that contract really be....

" Do you believe me now? ", he said raising her head by her chin, she felt so vulnerable at the moment, " You're mine now and I can do as I wish to you ", he said as he gently planted his lips on hers.
