When Yemaya asked Vicky why he is keeping the 200 gold galleons Vicky simply answered that his future sight requires gold galleons to work.
She simply thought that Vicky is joking.
Vicky also said this because no one believes that.
After that he went back to his room.
Then he started a simulation spending 1 gold galleon.
His target is learning everything that he started about the syllabus of the Hogwarts School including references.
Well it cannot be completed within such a short time.

When they came back to home Yemaya took Vicky to a different room where they previously chatted about Vicky's future sight.
Now they are here again to talk.
Vicky gave a simple explanation.
