Chapter 21

[A/N:I know there are readers who said the fact that year one will take at least 50 chapters or so.I want to clear that up year one will only take at least 6 or 7 more chapters as I won't be taking the original route of Harry being a seeker and all.If you want Harry to be Seeker please do comment.]

McGonagall leads the first-years to the front where the Sorting Hat lies on the stool. McGonagall looked at all the students and said" Will you wait along here, please? Now, before we begin, Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words."

Dumbledore rises from the main table and said"I have a few starts of term notices I wish to announce. In the first years please note that the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch" While gesturing to a ragged old man, called Mr. Argus Filch, with his cat with red eyes, called Mrs. Norris. While he continued" has asked me to remind you that the 3rd-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you."Hermione whispered to Harry"He is joking right?after all this is supposed to be a school right?"Harry shrugged and replied"I don't know what goes in his head."

McGonagall then spoke" When I call your name, you will come forth, I shall place the sorting hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses. Hermione Granger."

Hermione told herself"Oh, no. Okay, relax." as She goes up Ron couldn't keep his mouth shut as he said"Mental that one, I'm telling you."Harry just glared at him which was enough to shut him up. Hermione sits on the stool and McGonagall places the sorting hat on her head as sorting Hat spoke"Ah, right then...hmm...right. Okay...Ravenclaw!!" The students cheer; Hermione jumps off with a smile.

McGonagall then called" Draco Malfoy." Draco saunters up proudly. The tattered hat nearly freaks before touching down on Draco's head as it shouted"SLYTHERIN!"The students cheered but just not as loudly as before. Ron whispered, "There isn't a witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin."Daphne and Tracy who heard this rolled their eye as Daphne spoke"You do know your grandmother is Slytherin right."This stumped Ron who was trying to retort as Tracy cut in"Actually your grandmother is pretty well known Slytherin her name is Cedrella Weasley née Black,so you and Draco are related in manner." Ron was ready to start a fight but was now horrified at hearing about his relationship with Draco that he was in a shocking state and didn't say anything.

McGonagall" Susan Bones."A small, redhead goes up as Harry looks around and notices a black greasy-haired, pale man glaring at him as by his look she figured out it was Severus Snape as Harry ignored him also

Harry has snapped out his thought when heard McGonagall call his name as he noticed Everyone had gone silent. Harry walks up and sits down on the stool. The Sorting Hat is placed on his head as it muttered" Hmm...difficult, very difficult. Plenty of courage I see, very intelligent as well. There's talent, oh yes, and a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you?"Harry simply whispered"Ravenclaw."

Sorting Hat"Ohh want to go with your friend, huh no problem. But Dumbledore did suggest you to be put in Gryffindor, "Harry simply replied, "Then fuck Dumbledore."Sorting Hat laughed hearing that and shouted" Well if you're sure... better be...Ravenclaw."

There is an immense cheering and Harry goes to the Ravenclaw table as the Griffindore's were surprised at the fact they didn't get Harry Potter. Harry sits down at the table. He looks at Dumbledore, who looked like he swallowed a sour pill as a Headmaster he could only suggest the hat to put Harry Potter in Griffindore and couldn't order it.

While Harry was getting congratulated by other students at the Ravenclaw table he was more or less happy with his house as he heard the Sorting Hat laugh out loud and say"You want to be a Ravenclaw kid that is not possible with you conduct and intellect."Ron Weasley was embarrassed and looked really red as one thing about Ron Weasley is he was really good with chess and tactics, but he was not a Ravenclaw material due to his lazy behavior and never trying to improve himself.

Harry and Hermione reached their first Transfiguration class. In the class they saw a tabby cat sitting on a desk Harry whispered "Good Morning Professor McGonagall."The Cat looked surprised as Harry and Hermione took their seats as it wasn't long as both Ron and Dean rushed in to the class as Hermione rolled her eyes in annoyance because they're late for class that too on the first day.

Ron with relief said" Whew, we made it. Can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?"Dean nodded as the cat jumps off the desk and transforms into Professor McGonagall the two boys are amazed as Ron spoke" That was bloody brilliant."McGonagall stoically replied" Thank you for that assessment, Mr. Weasley. Perhaps if I were to transfigure Mr.Thomas and yourself into a pocket watch, that way one of you might be on time."

Ron answered," We got lost."McGonagall simply replied" Then perhaps a map? I trust you don't need one to find your seats."

McGonagall looked at Harry and asked, "Mr.Potter how did you know it was me?"Harry shrugged and replied, "You were registered as one of the few Animagus, also your behavior showed you were not a normal cat as cats don't stay that still."
